        본 연구는 정영양자수박물관의 콘텐츠를 활용한 통합 브랜드를 개발함에 있어 브랜드·디자인 ·마케팅을 융합한 시점에서 바라보고 그래픽아이덴티티, 제품아이덴티티, 공간아이덴티티 통합브랜드를 구축하는 일련의 프로세스를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 기존의 박물관 방문자들과 20-30대 여성을 대상으로, 디자인과 마케팅의 융합된 측면에서 도출된 ‘C·E·M’을 物, 事, 人, 場가 융합된 문화로 한정한다. 그 결과, ‘C·E·M’은 디자인과 마케팅 전략을 융합하여 로고 및 사인물의 그래픽디자인부터 제품디자인, 공간디자인에 이르기까지 일관성과 객관성, 스토리성을 도출한다. 끝으로 본 연구는 브랜드가 디자인과 마케팅을 융합하여 더 체계화된 G·I, P·I, S·I의 통합 브랜드 매뉴얼을 만든 것에 의의가 있다. 아울러 향후 이와 관련된 통합브랜드 디자인 개발에 있어서 기초 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다

      • 여수국가산업단지 인근 지역 대기오염물질 농도에 영향을 미치는 요인분석

        Eight monitoring stations in the Yeosu National Industrial Complex will determine the concentration of air pollutants measured every hour in 2019, analyze what factors affect them, and how they correlate with the air pollutant measurements. Six air pollutants (SO2, NO2, O3, CO, PM-10 and PM-2.5) measured at eight monitoring stations around Yeosu National Industrial Complex (Seogang-dong, Wolnae-dong, Munsu-dong, Yeocheon-dong, Deokchung-dong, Hwayang-myeon, Yulchon-myeon, Samil-dong) the measurement data for each hour of the year were downloaded to analyze the concentration by weather condition, time zone, season, separation distance from Yeosu Industrial Complex, and separation distance from Gwangyang Industrial Complex. SO2, NO2, and CO concentrations were significantly higher in winter, significantly lower in summer, and O3, PM-10, and PM-2.5 concentrations were significantly higher in spring. SO2, CO, PM-10, and PM-2.5 concentrations were significantly higher between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., NO2 concentrations were significantly higher between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., and O3 concentrations were significantly higher between 13 p.m. and 15 p.m.(p<0.001). The concentration of air pollutants (SO2, NO2, CO, PM-10, PM-2.5) excluding O3 was found to have a negative (-) correlation with weather condition, and in the case of O3, it was found to have a positive (+) correlation with PM-10, PM-2.5, temperature and wind speed. It was confirmed that the concentration of air pollutants emitted from the Yeosu National Industrial Complex differs depending on the season, time and distance to the industrial complex. This study aims to establish measures to minimize health damage to residents living relatively close to the industrial complex and contribute to the establishment of management and response measures according to the properties of substances to reduce the concentration of air pollutants in the future.

        NaCl Concentration-Dependent Aminoglycoside Resistance of Halomonas socia CKY01 and Identification of Related Genes

        Among various species of marine bacteria, those belonging to the genus Halomonas have several promising applications and have been studied well. However, not much information has been available on their antibiotic resistance. In our efforts to learn about the antibiotic resistance of strain Halomonas socia CKY01, which showed production of various hydrolases and growth promotion by osmolytes in previous study, we found that it exhibited resistance to multiple antibiotics including kanamycin, ampicillin, oxacillin, carbenicillin, gentamicin, apramycin, tetracycline, and spectinomycin. However, the H. socia CKY01 resistance pattern to kanamycin, gentamicin, apramycin, tetracycline, and spectinomycin differed in the presence of 10% NaCl and 1% NaCl in the culture medium. To determine the mechanism underlying this NaCl concentration-dependent antibiotic resistance, we compared four aminoglycoside resistance genes under different salt conditions while also performing time-dependent reverse transcription PCR. We found that the aph2 gene encoding aminoglycoside phosphotransferase showed increased expression under the 10% rather than 1% NaCl conditions. When these genes were overexpressed in an Escherichia coli strain, pETDuet-1::aph2 showed a smaller inhibition zone in the presence of kanamycin, gentamicin, and apramycin than the respective control, suggesting aph2 was involved in aminoglycoside resistance. Our results demonstrated a more direct link between NaCl and aminoglycoside resistance exhibited by the H. socia CKY01 strain.

        Effect of red ginseng NaturalGEL on skin aging

        Background: In aged skin, degradation of collagen fibers, which occupy the majority of the extracellularmatrix in the dermis, and changes of aquaporin 3 (AQP3) and skin constituents, such as hyaluronic acidand ceramide, cause wrinkles and decrease skin moisturization to contribute to dryness and lowerelasticity skin. Red ginseng (RG) is used as a cosmetic and food material and is known to protect fromUVB-induced cell death, increase skin hydration, prevent wrinkles, and have an antioxidative effect. But,in general, RG used as a material is the soluble liquid portion in the solvent, and the part that is notsoluble in the solvent is discarded. Thus, we made the whole RG into microgranulation and dispersed inwater to produce gel form for using entire RG, and it was named red ginseng NaturalGEL (RG NGEL). Methods: RG NGEL was investigated for matrix metalloproteinases inhibitory activity, induction of Type Icollagen, AQP3, hyaluronan synthetase 2, serine palmitoyl transferase, ceramide synthase 3, and filaggrinexpression and compared with RG water extract. Results: RG NGEL reduced the levels of UV-induced matrix metalloproteinases and increased Type Icollagen in human fibroblast cells and upregulated AQP3, hyaluronan synthetase 2, serine palmitoyltransferase, ceramide synthase 3, and filaggrin expressions in human keratinocytes compared with RGwater extract. Conclusion: RG NGEL has the potential as an effective reagent for antiaging cosmetics to improve wrinkleformation and skin hydration.

      • Enzymatic encapsulation of quercetin to enhance water solubility

        In this study, we conducted the formation of a quercetin (QCT) and cycloamylose (CA) inclusion complex based on cyclization activity of cyclodextrin glucanotransferase (CGTase; EC 2.4.1.19) to improve poor water solubility of QCT. The encapsulated QCT (CA-QCT) was confirmed using high performance liquid-chromatography and purified using preparative high-performance liquid chromatography. The water solubility of CA-QCT was 50,000-fold higher than that of QCT. CA-QCT in water demonstrated 94% stability for 1 week at 4℃. According to DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging activity assay, CA-QCT in aqueous solution showed 24 times higher activities as an equal amount of QCT in aqueous solution, suggesting the poor water solubility of QCT can be enhanced through encapsulation using CGTase enzyme reaction.

        Investigation of Microstructure in Friction Stir Welded Al-Cu-Li Alloy

        <P>It is well known that the addition of Li to aluminum alloys offers an attractive combination of low density and high modulus, which are useful for lightweight structures of aerospace vehicles. However, microstructure of Al-Li alloys are complex, which consist of a number of equilibrium and metastable phases. In addition, Al-Li alloys are weldable but the weldability is not as good as that of other aerospace alloys. This is due to the reactive property of element Li during melting and causes porosity, cracking and low joint efficiency. In friction stir welding (FSW), rotating welding tool generates frictional heat and by keeping the tool rotating and moving speed, the heat from friction causes the plate to soften without melting. Therefore, this solid state welding is adequate to Al-Li alloys. The friction stir welded joint was divided into 9 regions and each microstructure was investigated in detail to present the microstructure evolution and material flows during friction stir welding process. The recrystallized structure is observed in nugget zone and the evidence of initiation of dynamic recrystallization is found around the boundary between thermo-mechanically affected zone (TMAZ) and nugget region. This paper describes the results of a study to investigate the microstructure change of Al-Cu-Li alloy during the friction stir welding process.</P>

        Identification of a novel mutation in a patient with pseudohypoparathyroidism type Ia

        Pseudohypoparathyroidism type Ia (PHP Ia) is a disorder characterized by multiform hormonal resistance including parathyroid hormone (PTH) resistance and Albright hereditary osteodystrophy (AHO). It is caused by heterozygous inactivating mutations within the Gs alpha-encoding GNAS exons. A 9-year-old boy presented with clinical and laboratory abnormalities including hypocalcemia, hyperphosphatemia, PTH resistance, multihormone resistance and AHO (round face, short stature, obesity, brachydactyly and osteoma cutis) which were typical of PHP Ia. He had a history of repeated convulsive episodes that started from the age of 2 months. A cranial computed tomography scan showed bilateral calcifications in the basal ganglia and his intelligence quotient testing indicated mild mental retardation. Family history revealed that the patient's maternal relatives, including his grandmother and 2 of his mother's siblings, had features suggestive of AHO. Sequencing of the GNAS gene of the patient identified a heterozygous nonsense mutation within exon 11 (c.637 C>T). The C>T transversion results in an amino acid substitution from Gln to stop codon at codon 213 ($p.Gln213^*$). To our knowledge, this is a novel mutation in GNAS.

      • Development of Therapeutic Probiotics for Oral Treatment of Hyperuricemia

        When uric acid is accumulated in the human body, it can cause hyperuricemia and gout which usually affects the big toe and any joints with sudden pain, swelling, redness, and tenderness. Uricase enzyme catalyzes the degradation of uric acid to allantoin, thereby alleviating the accumulation of uric acid in the body. To provide uricase activity, we aimed to construct a therapeutic probiotics strain that has a uric acid-degrading function. One of the lactic acid bacteria, Leuconostoc citreum was selected as a host since the strain was isolated from fermented food Kimchi and has been utilized for recombinant protein expression. The uricase operon including PucL and PucM which encode urate oxidase and 5-hydroxyisourate hydrolase respectively, are obtained from Bacillus subtilis and introduced into L. citreum under constitutive Leuconostoc promoter. As a result, the recombinant L. citreum exhibited uricase activity while the wild-type strain has no uricase activity. The uricase-expressing L. citreum may be utilized as a therapeutic agent and enzyme source for oral treatment of the patient having a high uric acid level.
