The effect of calcium doping on the superconducting properties of top seeded melt growth (TSMG) processed Y<SUB>1.5</SUB>Ba<SUB>2-x</SUB>Ca<SUB>x</SUB>Cu<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>y</SUB> superconductors was studied in terms of calcium content (X<SUB>ca</SUB>). YBa<SUB>2-x</SUB>Ca<SUB>x</SUB>Cu<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>7-δ</SUB> (X<SUB>ca</SUB>=0, 0.005, 0.01, 0.02, 0.04, 0.1, 0.3) powders were synthesized by the powder calcination method. YBa<SUB>2-x</SUB>Ca<SUB>x</SUB>Cu<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>7-δ</SUB> powders were mixed with 0.25mole Y<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> powder and 1wt.% CeO<SUB>2</SUB> as Y<SUB>2</SUB>BaCuO<SUB>5</SUB> (Y211) refiner, and finally made into Y<SUB>1</SUB>.<SUB>5</SUB>Ba<SUB>2-x</SUB>Ca<SUB>x</SUB>Cu<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>y</SUB> (Y1.5)+1wt.% CeO<SUB>2</SUB> composition. The single Y123 growth on the top surface was observed up to X<SUB>ca</SUB>=0.1, while the multiple Y123 growth was observed at X<SUB>ca</SUB>≥0.1. The superconducting transition temperature (T<SUB>c</SUB>) and critical current density (J<SUB>c</SUB>) of TSMG processed Y1.5 samples were inversely proportional to X<SUB>ca</SUB>. The Y211 size increased with increasing X<SUB>ca</SUB> due to the enhancement of Y211 coarsening by calcium doping. No Y211 refining effect by CeO<SUB>2</SUB> was observed in the calcium doped samples. The T<SUB>c</SUB> and J<SUB>c</SUB> decrease by calcium doping are likely to be due to the calcium incorporation with the Y123 lattice and formation of coarse Y211 particles.

Among the developed bío-degradable polymer fílms as compared wíth transparent fílm(Whíte), black polymer fílm was sígnífícantly more effectíve for controllíng weeds ín red pepper. Also, we found that whíte and black polymer mulchíng had 81.8% and 97.9% of managing weed controllíng effects in rice, respectively. Compared to nonmulched rice paddy with water supply, the non-mulched rice paddy wíthout any water supply has stopped its growth at 41 days after transplantíng, whíle polymer -mulched rice paddy without water supply had about 60% of normally growing rice plants. This shows the polymer treatment has a remarkable effect on water and power saving, solution of herbicidal resistance, avoidance of herbícidal influence to eco-system etc. When the naturally decomposíng polymer was used, a temperature was elevated as high as 4.7 ℃ on maximum and 2.6 ℃ on average. Also the naturally decomposing polymer accelerated rooting by 7 days and lowered a stress level from transplanting. The weed control effect mulched by polymer was remarkable as 98. 7%. The p이ymer now, after 294 days treated on the rice paddy, has been completely decomposed.
200 GeV/핵자 유황이온과 핵건판핵의 충돌에 의해 생성된 헬륨 파쇄핵의 극한파쇄 연구

고에너지 중이온 원자핵과 핵건판의 충돌에서, 200GeV/핵자 유황이온에 의해 생성된 파쇄 헬륨핵(Z=2)의 실험실계의 방출각 분포는 표적핵에 무관한 회귀공식. dN=exp[a+k exp(η-y_b)]d[exp(η-y_b)]로 잘 표현된다. 여기에서 의사신속도 η=-ln[tan(θ/2)]이고, y_b는 실험실계의 입사입자(^32S)의 신속도이다. 이 공식에 의한 적합에서 k=-0.057±0.008로 얻어진다. 즉, 핵건판과 고에너지 중이온의 충돌에서 파쇄 헬륨핵의 exp(η-y_b)의 분포는 "극한파쇄" 현상을 잘 설명하고 있다. The angular distribution of emission angle θ of helium (Z=2) produced in the collisions of incident particles of 200 GeV/nucleon ^32S in nuclear emulsion is well expressed by dN=exp[a+k exp(η-y_b)]d[exp(η-y_b)] where the pseudorapidity is η=-ln[tan(θ/2)], the laboratory system primary rapidity is y_b, and k=-0.057+0.008. The shape of this frequency of occurrence distributions in terms of exp(η-y_b) attests to the validity of the concept of "limiting fragmentation" for helium projectile fragments produced in the projectile fragmentation regions of heavy ion collisions in nuclear emulsion.
Preparation of zwitterion-type chromium(II) complexes for ethylene oligomerization

<P>Lithium bis(phosphino)aluminate (4, [Et2Al(PPh2)(2)]Li center dot(THF); 5, [Et2Al(PCy2)(2)]Li center dot(THF)(2)), lithium bis(amino)aluminate (6, [Et2Al(NC4H8)(2)]Li center dot(THF); 7, [Et2Al(NiPr2)(2)]Li; 8, [iBu(2)Al(NiPr2)(2)]Li), and potassium bis(phosphino)borate ligands (11, [(C6F5)(2)B(PPh2)(2)]K; 12, [(C6F5)(2)B(PCy2)(2)]K) were prepared. Reaction of 4-6 with CrCl3(THF)(3) did not provide any discrete chromium complexes, but the reaction of 5-6 with CrCl2(THF) yielded zwitterion-type Cr(II) complexes (13, [Et2Al(PCy2)(2)](2)Cr(II); 14, [Et2Al(NC4H8)(2)](2)Cr(II)). Reaction of THF-free 7-8 with CrCl3(THF)(3) resulted in the formation of Cl-bridged Cr(II) dimer complexes {[Et(Cl)Al(NiPr2)(2)]Cr(II)-mu(2)-Cl}(2) (15) and {[iBu(Cl)Al(NiPr2)(2)]Cr(II)-mu(2)-Cl}(2) (16). A similar Cl-bridged Cr(II) dimer complex {[(C6F5)(2)B(PCy2)(2)]Cr(II)-mu(2)-Cl}(2) (17) was also obtained by reacting the borate ligand 12 with CrCl2(THF). The structures of 13-17 were elucidated by X-ray crystallography. None of the prepared zwitterion-type Cr(II) complexes 13-17 exhibited any activity after activation with MAO, supporting catalytic cycle involving Cr(I/III) oxidation states in ethylene oligomerization. Biphenolic components in Magnolia obovata including magnolol and honokiol have shown several pharmacological activities such as anti-tumor, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Previously in cultured macrophage Raw264.7 cells and fibroblast, we found that obovatol, an active compound isolated from M. obovata inhibited NF-κB activity which has been known to be a significant transcriptional factor to control of cancer cell growth. We investigated here whether obovatol could inhibit NF-κB activity, and thereby inhibit cancer cell growth in prostate (LNCaP and PC-3) and colon cancer (SW620 and HCT116) cells. Treatment of obovatol (10, 15, 20, 25 μM) inhibits cancer cell growth in the absence or the presence of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α , 10 ng/ml) and tetradecanoyl phorbol acetate (TPA 10 or 50 nM) in a concentration-dependent manner through induction of apoptotic cell death. Cytotoxic activity was not observed in normal cells with up to 50 μM obovatol. It was also found that obovatol inhibited TNF-α and TPA-induced transcriptional and DNA binding activities of NF-κB. In further study, obovatol decreased translocation p65 and p50 into nucleus via decrease of phosphorylation of IκB. Correlated well with the induction of apoptosis, obovatol increased the expression of the apoptotic genes; Bax, caspase-3, caspase-9, whereas inhibited expression of anti-apoptotic genes; Bcl-2, inhibitor of apoptosis protein (IAP-1) and X chromosome IAP (XIAP) as well as the cell proliferation marker genes; Cox-2, c-Fos, c-Jun and cyclin D1. These results suggest that obovatol inhibits prostate and colon cancer cell growth via induction of apoptotic cell death, and that inhibition of NF-κB may be a significant as its action mechanism.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate clinical practice stress, academic self-efficacy, and career identity among undergraduate students in nursing practicum. Method: This study was a descriptive correlational design using the survey method. The study included 267 undergraduate students attending to 5 college in Seoul. The data was gathered from August 2014 to October 2014 and the data were analyzed using IBM SPSS statistics version 22.0 Program with descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variance with Scheffe test, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Results: Situational characteristics of Clinical Practice Stress(CPP) was significantly different with regards to task difficulties and efficacy self-confidence of academic self-efficacy(ASE) (r= .179, p= .003; r= .166, p= .006). Statistically significant positive relationship was founded between Personal characteristics of CPP and self-confidence of ASE (r= .239, p< .01). External regulators of CPP was significantly different according to self-confidence and task difficulties (r= .175, p= .003; r= .132, p= .028). The self-confidence and efficacy for self-confidence of ASE were a significantly correlated with Career Identity; The Career identity also was a significantly correlated with all sub-categories of CSS scale(r= -0.208, p< 0.01; r= -0.369, p< 0.01; r= -0.153, p< .011) Conclusion: This study showed positive statistical relationships associated with clinical practice stress, academic self-efficacy, and career identity as a preliminary evidence-based study for guiding education in nursing curriculum. Further research should be need for students’ future as a professional nurse.

Bacillus thuringiensis NTB-1 isolated from soil samples in Korea produces ovoidal parasporal inclusions with proteins of approximately 24-40kDa in size. Although serological study indicated that the isolate has a flagella (H) antigen identical with subsp. israelensis, it seemed to be non-insecticidal against Lepidoptera and Coleoptera as well as Diptera. To investigate the activity of non-insecticidal B.thuringiensis transformed with insecticidal crystal protein genes, cryIVD and cytA genes of B. thuringiensis subsp. morrisoni PG-14, highly toxic to mosquito larvae, were introduced into the isolate NTB-1. The expression of mosquitocidal crystal protein genes in NTB-1 was characterized by SDS-PAGE analysis and electron microscopy. The results showed that crystalline inclusions of host, CryIVD and CytA were stably expressed in the transformant. However, the mosquitocidal activity of transformant was similar to that of B. thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki Cry-B harbouring cryIVD and cytA genes, demonstrating that a synergistic effect by an interaction of both introduced insecticidal and resident non-insecticidal crystal proteins was not observed.
