        Three-Dimensional Stability of Cyclical Footage Area in Tunnel Face

        Based on the theory of limit and the unified strength theory, the three-dimensional failure pattern and the corresponding velocity field on the heading face for cyclical footage are proposed, considering the influence of the cyclical footage and the intermediate principle stress on the heading face stability. Addition, the influence of various parameters on the heading face stability is analyzed. The present study shows that the first increase in internal friction angle (lower than 25°) can promote the heading face stability. Then, the increase in the cohesion can promote the stability when the internal friction angle is higher than 25°. In addition, for the relatively intact instead of the poor surrounding rock, the promotion of the stress conditions of the heading face, caused by by the intermediate principle stress, indicates that the Mohr-Coulomb criterion is conservative.

        The adsorption and difusion of oxygen atom on the O-terminated ZnO ð 000?1 Þ surface havebeen systematically investigated based on ¯rst-principles density functional theory. The resultsshow that the surface relaxation of the ZnO ð 000?1 Þ surface is signi¯cant. In the view of themaximization of the adsorption energy, the preferred site for the adsorption of oxygen atom is thetop-O site above the oxygen atom of the ¯rst Zn – O bilayer. There is chemical bond formedbetween the adsorbed oxygen atom and the oxygen atom on the surface, which will result in theredistribution of the charges. The charges transfer from the ZnO surface to the adsorbed oxygenatom, which will heighten the surface potential of ZnO surface and increase the surface workfunction. Moreover, the di®usion of the oxygen atom on the ZnO surface has also been investi-gated, and the potential barriers of the difusion have been identi¯ed to reveal the adsorptionstability

      • The Optimization Model and Algorithm of Remanufacturing Supply Chain Logistics Network with Option Contracts

        By the point of view of remanufacturing enterprise, the studies of supply chain logistics network optimization problem focused on network optimization and logistics distribution between manufacturing enterprise and customer area. The present business environment is full of uncertainties. To compete effectively in such an environment, remanufacturing enterprises need to develop the capability of responding flexibly to changing market conditions and optimize effectively logistics networks. The mechanism of option contracts has effectively coordinated the relationship of remanufacturing enterprise and retailer and hedged against the risks of over- and under-production. There is few papers considers the mechanism of option contracts although there are lots of studies on supply chain logistics networks optimization problem. Therefore, the mechanism of option contracts is led into the study of remanufacturing supply chain logistics networks optimization problem. Considering environmental pollution influence factors in the remanufacturing process, a multi-objective optimization model of supply chain is developed. Dual-layer genetic algorithm mechanism was brought up. The first layer is responsible for supply chain logistics network structure with genetic algorithm. The second layer answers for specific supply chain logistics distribution with adaptive immune genetic algorithm. Finally, numerical examples demonstrate the validity of the model and algorithm for the optimization problem.

        Research on Oscillation Character of Six-Phase Fractional-Slot Concentrated-Winding Permanent Motor with Different Slot-Pole Match

        The oscillation character of permanent magnetic motor is highly related to its slot-pole match. By calculating air-gap magnet field and radial electromagnetic force of 6-phase fractional-slot concentrated-winding permanent magnetic motor with slot–pole match of 48/44,48/46,48/50 and 48/52 under no load and load status, oscillation character of permanent magnetic motor is analyzed. A 20kW prototype with 48 slots and 44 poles is designed. With many sensors attaching to the corresponding parts, oscillatory acceleration is measured, and spectrum of oscillation frequency is recorded as well. The experiment results give proof to the analysis method for permanent magnetic motor oscillation in this paper.

        Correlations of Fecal Bacterial Communities with Age and Living Region for the Elderly Living in Bama, Guangxi, China

        Bama County (Guangxi, China) is famous for its longevous population. In this study, intestinal microflora of 17 healthy elderly subjects of different ages and from different regions (rural and urban) in Bama,were analyzed by denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). Significant effects of age and living region on the whole intestinal bacterial communities were observed by redundancy analysis (RDA). A total of 11 bacterial strains that were correlated with age and living region were identified using a t-value biplot combined with band sequencing. Four bacterial strains were correlated with both age and living region of the elderly in Bama. Two Bacteroides strains and one Ruminococcaceae strain were abundant in the rural, younger elderly; conversely, one Desulfovibrio strain was high in the urban, older elderly. Another Bacteroidetes strain was only correlated with the participant’s age, and its abundance increased with the age of the elderly. The richness of one Clostridium sordellii strain, which was only correlated with the elderly living region, was high in the urban elderly. The study also found five other novel bacterial strains that were correlated with the age or living region of the elderly in Bama. These results expand our understanding of age- and region-effects on the intestinal microflora of the elderly and raise the possibility of developing probiotics originating from centenarians.

      • Multi-objective Remanufacturing Supply Chain Optimization Problem with Dual Stochastic Programming

        The successful implementation of remanufacturing supply chain not only needs foundation engineering technology, but also needs the efficient supply chain model to support logistics network. But till now, the optimization problems of supply chain logistics network focus on the determination for the number and location of facilities and logistics distribution between the various facilities. Except for the decisive factors, the optimization problem of remanufacturing supply chain logistics network considers the environmental pollution factors the waste product returns and transportation. The market demand and waste product returns are actually uncertain in remanufacturing supply chain. There is few papers focus on dual uncertain factors although there are lots of studies on the problems. Therefore, based on dual stochastic programming, the optimization model of multi-phase multi-objective remanufacturing supply chain is established with maximum profit in the remanufacturing supply chain, maximum rapid response customer satisfaction and minimum environmental pollution. Dual-layer genetic algorithm mechanism was brought up. The first layer algorithm is responsible for supply chain logistics network structure. The second layer algorithm determines specific distributions for remanufacturing supply chain, based on optimized logistics network structure mechanism in the first layer algorithm. Finally, numerical examples demonstrate the validity of the model and algorithm for the optimization problem.

        Heat Stress Causes Aberrant DNA Methylation of H19 and Igf-2r in Mouse Blastocysts

        To gain a better understanding of the methylation imprinting changes associated with heat stress in early development, we used bisulfite sequencing and bisulfite restriction analysis to examine the DNA methylation status of imprinted genes in early embryos (blastocysts). The paternal imprinted genes, H19 and Igf-2r, had lower methylation levels in heat-stressed embryos than in control embryos, whereas the maternal imprinted genes, Peg3 and Peg1, had similar methylation pattern in heat-stressed embryos and in control embryos. Our results indicate that heat stress may induce aberrant methylation imprinting, which results in developmental failure of mouse embryos, and that the effects of heat shock on methylation imprinting may be gene-specific.

        Seismic performance analysis of steel-brace RC frame using topology optimization

        Seismic performance analysis of steel-brace reinforced concrete (RC) frame using topology optimization in highly seismic region was discussed in this research. Topology optimization based on truss-like material model was used, which was to minimum volume in full-stress method. Optimized bracing systems of low-rise, mid-rise and high-rise RC frames were established, and optimized bracing systems of substructure were also gained under different constraint conditions. Thereafter, different structure models based on optimized bracing systems were proposed and applied. Last, structural strength, structural stiffness, structural ductility, collapse resistant capacity, collapse probability and demolition probability were studied. Moreover, the brace buckling was discussed. The results show that bracing system of RC frame could be derived using topology optimization, and bracing system based on truss-like model could help to resolve numerical instabilities. Bracing system of topology optimization was more effective to enhance structural stiffness and strength, especially in mid-rise and high-rise frames. Moreover, bracing system of topology optimization contributes to increase collapse resistant capacity, as well as reduces collapse probability and accumulated demolition probability. However, brace buckling might weaken beneficial effects.
