The effects of the size of cations on the properties of polyfethyl acrylate-co-metal acrylate) ionomers containing 3.8 mol% of ionic moiety were investigated. It was found that with changing cations, matrix T_(g)s seem to remain constant; however, cluster T_(g)s increase with decreasing the size of cations. Since ion-hopping occurs at a cluster T_(g) and the electrostatic force of ion pairs decreases with the size of ions increasing, it was suggested that the effect of the size of cation on a cluster T_(g) is operative, but not on a matrix T_(g). It was also found that activation energies for a cluster T_(g) were decreased with decreasing the size of cations; which means that the activation energy values for a cluster T_(g) are not directly related to the cluster T_(g)s. In the present study, the highest value of a cluster T_(g) for the Li ionomer may be one of the reasons why the Li ionomer has the lowest value for an activation energy.

Abstract-In order to investigate pharmacological properties of New Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Pill(NSCH) and Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Pill (SCH), the effects of NSCH and SCH on cerebral ischemia and central nervous system were compared. Cerebral ischemia insult was performed using unilateral carotid artery occlusion in mongolian gerbils. The histological observations showed preventive effects of NSCH and SCH treatments with ischemia-induced brain damage. The ATP in brain tissue was decreased in vehicle-treated ischemic gerbils. This decrease was prevented by SCH treatment. In contrast to what was seen with ATP, lipid peroxide were elevated in vehicle-treated ischemic gerbils. This elevation was inhibited by NSCH and SCH treatments. While NSCH and SCH had no effects on the hexobarbital-induced sleeping time, they prevented the seizures induced by eletric shock and strychnine. NSCH and SCH showed sedative effect in rotarod and spontaneous activity test. Furthermore, NSCH and SCH showed anti-stress effect. Our findings suggest that the pharmacological profiles of NSCH on cerebral ischemia and central nervous system are similar to those of SCH.

Sport has been a social and cultural vehicle by which symbols and values have been preserved for patriarchy, and women's subordinate position in society has been maintained. In this study we discuss the aspects of production, amount of coverage, technical quality, and intentional audience building etc of the reports trend through media sports between male and female sports athletes. Throughout this review, we note the ways in which woment's sports and men's sports are differentially contracted by the media. When we examine each of these areas, we find contrasts in the ways that female athletes and male athletes are depicted. Numerous other investigations (also in Korea) confirm these differences and supplement our findings. Despite the recent rise in the number of females participating in sport, and the perhaps less dramatic rise in the social acceptance and appreciation of woman's sports, there has been little improvement in the quality and amount of couverage of women in the media sports. So the paper suggests that the issue of equality for male and female should be one of the most important in the furture.

Abstract-In order to investigate the pharmacological properties of New Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Liquid (NSCL), effects of Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Liquid (SCL) and NSCL were compared. In isolated rat aorta, NSCL and SCL showed the relaxation of blood vessels in maximum contractile response to phenylephrine (10^-6 M) regardless to intact endothelium or denuded rings of the rat aorta. Furthermore, the presences of the inhibitor of NO synthase and guanylate cyclase did not affect the relaxing effect of NSCL and SCL. NSCL and SCL inhibited the vascular contractions induced by acetylcholine, prostaglandin endoperoxide or peroxide in a dose-dependent manner. In conscious spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs), NSCL and SCL significantly decreased heart rate. NSCL and SCL, at high doses, had a negative inotropic effect that was a decrease of left ventricular developed pressure and (-dp/dt)/(+dp/dt) in the isolated perfused rat hearts, and also decreased the contractile force and heart rate in the isolated rat right atria. In excised guinea-pig papillary muscle, NSCL and SCL had no effects on parameters of action potential such as resting membrane potential, action potential amplitude, APD_90 and V_max at low doses, whereas inhibited the cardiac contractility at high doses. These results suggested that NSCL and SCL have weak cardiovascular effects with relaxation of blood vessels and decrease of heart rate, and that this effect is no significant differences between cardiovascular effects of two preparations.
Drill가공에 있어서 ADI재료의 절삭성에 관한 연구

The drilling tests were performed on austempered ductile cast irons(ADI) with 2∼3% silicon to clarify the factors influencing the driling characteristics of ADI material. The machinability of each material was evaluated using high speed steel drills of 4mm diameter. The ductile cast iron materials were austenized at 900℃ for 1 hour and then held at 375℃ for 2 hours. Austempered ductile cast iron containsa great deal of retained austenite which contributes to an improvement of impact strength. The machinability of ADI depends on Si components and machinability of workpice has been proved better 3% Si material with high Si components than 2% and 2.5% Si material. It was found that the tool life was a great affected by the feed rate and as feed rate increses, tool life gradually decreased.
