Gallic Acid Inhibits Histamine Release and Pro-inflammatory Cytokine Production in Mast Cells

<P>The discovery of drugs for the treatment of inflammatory allergic diseases such as, asthma, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis is a very important subject in human health. Gallic acid (3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid), a polyphenyl natural products from gallnut and green tea, is known to have anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and radical scavenging activities. The aim of the present study was to elucidate whether gallic acid modulates the inflammatory allergic reaction and to study its possible mechanisms of action. Gallic acid attenuated compound 48/80- or immunoglobulin E (IgE)-induced histamine release from mast cells. The inhibitory effect of gallic acid on the histamine release was mediated by the modulation of cAMP and intracellular calcium. Gallic acid decreased the phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate plus calcium ionophore A23187-stimulated pro-inflammatory cytokine gene expression and production such as TNF-α and IL-6 in human mast cells. The inhibitory effect of gallic acid on the pro-inflammatory cytokine was nuclear factor-κB and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase dependent. In addition, gallic acid inhibited compound 48/80-induced systemic allergic reaction and IgE-mediated local allergic reaction. The inhibitory activity of gallic acid on the allergic reaction and histamine release was found to be similar with disodium cromoglycate. Our findings provide evidence that gallic acid inhibits mast cell-derived inflammatory allergic reactions by blocking histamine release and pro-inflammatory cytokine expression, and suggest the mechanisms of action. Furthermore, <I>in vivo</I> and <I>in vitro</I> anti-allergic effect of gallic acid suggests a possible therapeutic application of this agent in inflammatory allergic diseases.</P>
Group Path Table 에 의한 분산 교착상태 탐지

분산시스템의 사용이 증가함에 따라 교착상태를 정확하게 찾아내는 일이 시스템의 효율과 신뢰도 면에서 운영제제의 중요한 일 중 하나가 되고 있다. 특히, 분산방식의 교착상태 탐지 알고리즘은 이 방식이 가지고 있는 특징들로 인해 현재 많은 연구가 이루어져왔다. 그러나, 분산 시스템의 정보전송 지연과 시스템의 동적 환경은 교착상태 탐지에 많은 어려움을 가져왔다. 따라서, 본 논문은 Group Path Table을 이용하여 multi request와 type의 resource 수가 하나인 동적 환경하에서 교착상태 탐지 알고리즘을 제시하고자 한다.

In this study, a novel sensor system for measuring the temperature inside an oral cavity is proposed. With this aim, a small size of thermistor was used for resolving the cavity's temperature with the resolution of 0.1℃. To evaluate effectiveness of our sensor system, the temperature and its output voltage characteristic, and the specifications of response are investigated. It turned out to be that our sensor system has a linear property in terms of temperature variations for a healthy subject's body temperature range and has a good response time within 3 seconds. Also, in order to investigate the medical application, our sensor system is sought to measure the real temperature variations of a subject's oral cavity and ark shell especially for 'before' and 'after' exercise mode.

최근 들어 국방부는 RFID 기술을 기반으로 u-군수통합정보체계를 구축하기 위해 국방탄약관리 시스템 구축사업과 확산사업 그리고 F-15K 자산관리 사업을 진행하였지만 국방 RFID 태그 코드의 표준화 부재로 임시방편적인 방법을 사용하고 있다. 따라서 국방 분야에서 어떠한 RFID 태그 코드사용이 바람직한지 영역의 표준과 경제성, 관리성, 확장성, 네트워크 환경, 정책적 사항, 그리고 미군의 활용사례 등에 관한 다양한 관점을 분석하여 코드를 선정하는데 도움이 되도록 하였다.
