A Study on the prepubertal Children of oriental Medical Growth Clinic

145 children who came to oriental medical growth clinic with short stature and without any pubertal symptoms were observed. Their initial height, birth weight, gestational period. Tanner scale were checked and target height(TH) was calculated. Bone age through X-ray was also examined and if necessary serum IGF-I, IGF-II were checked. In result, 37 patients (25.52%) was classified as real short stature. In birth weight, 114 patients (78.62%) were in normal range. Average birth weight of short stature gorup was 2.97±0.47kg, and 3.06±0.49 in normal group. In short stature group, 33 patients (89.2%) showed lower bone age than chronical age. Mean parental stature of short stature group was 162.07±2.9cm, and 162.19±3.5cm in normal group. In monthly growth rate after herb-medication, 1.4cm was highest, 0.16cm lowest, and average 0.53±0.2cm, and there was no statistical difference between two groups. 94 patient(64.8%) complained anorexia, 41 patient (28.3%) complained abdominal pain, and 16 patients (11%) complained defecation disorder. These results suggest that children who visited growth clinic were mostly normal and herb-medications have growth promoting effects.
Channel Defect Analysis Method of a-IGZO TFTs on Polyimide for Flexible Displays

In this paper, we introduce a method enabling faster and more innovative analysis of the channel characteristics of amorphous indium-gallium-zinc oxide (a-IGZO) thin film transistors (TFTs) manufactured on flexible substrates through electrical property analysis. The TFTs used in the present evaluation were a-IGZO TFTs with different oxygen flow rates (OFRs), which have been reported on frequently in the past, to confirm the effectiveness of the new evaluation method. The interface characteristics of the IGZO and the insulator were confirmed by density of state (DOS) extraction using photoexcited charge collection spectroscopy (PECCS). Defects of the TFT active layer were confirmed through the capacitance-time (c-t) method. It was confirmed that the smaller the OFR, the smaller the carrier lifetime due to the presence of oxygen vacancies. In conclusion, by obtaining the same results as previously reported physical analyses, the proposed electrical channel characteristics analysis of IGZO TFTs was shown to be a reliable analysis method.
진경온담탕(鎭驚溫膽湯)의 항경련(抗痙攣) 작용(作用)에 관(關)한 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究)

In order to investigate the anticonvulsive effect of Jinkyungondamtang, the experiment were performed in mice. After solid exract of Jinkyungondamtang was orally administered to mice, four types of convulsion were induced in mice by electric shock, strychnine, picrotoxin, and caffeine. Each of the time to elicit the convulsion and to die was observed. Results were as follows: 1. In the case of convulsion induced by electric shock, the lapse of the time to elicit convulsion and the time to die were delayed by oral administration of Jinkyungondam-tang(P<0.05, P<0.025). 2. The solid extracts of Jinkyungondamtang were revealed rem- arkable effect in delaying the time to die induced by stry-chnine (P<0.05). 3. By oral administration of Jinkyungondamtang, the lapse of the time to elicit convulsion and to die were delayed significantly to elicit convulsion inducing by picrotoxin (P<0.05, P<0.05). 4. Considerable prolongation of the lapse of the time to elicit the convulsion was observed in convulsion induced caffeine due to the anticonvulsive effects of Jinkyungondamtang (P<0.05).

This study was carried out to investigate the physiochemical and microbiological changes of dandelion during fermentation. Thirty and fifty percentage raw sugar groups (SFE30 and SFE50) were introduced into dandelions and fermented for 120 days at 15-20℃. This study was conducted to investigate the utilization of sucrose on lactic acid bacteria from dandelions and their effect on the pH, titratable acidity, microorganism and formation of organic acids in dandelions during fermentation. The number of lactic acid bacteria increased remarkably up to 15 days of fermentation and then decreased rapidly thereafter. The maximum number of lactic acid bacteria, 7.9 log CFU/mL was reached at pH 4.17 and the pH of dandelion showed a slight decrease during fermentation and decreased steadily up to 90 days to reach an optimum pH of 4.0. The titratable acidity of dandelions fermented increased during fermentation. The concentration of organic acid, amino acid and free sugar in SFE30 was higher than both SFE50 and DWE. The results of dandelions fermented were remarkably retarded in the 50% raw sugar group compared to the 30% raw sugar group.
