신종학,하기주,전하석 경일대학교 산업기술연구소 1999 産業技術硏究所 論文集 Vol.6 No.-
In this dissertation four reinforcement concrete rigid frame and masonry infilled wal land cut off type masonry infilled wall wee constructed and tested during vertical and cyclic loads simultaneously. Experimental programs were accomplished to evaluat the structural performance of test specimens, such as the hysteretic behavior, the maximum horizontal strength, crack propagation, and ductility etc. Test variables are hoop reinforcement ratio and measonry infilled wall with on without. All the specimens were modeling in one-third scale size. Based on the test results, the following conclusions can be made. After we consider the maximum horizontal capacity focusing on a rigid frame, in case of the curtain wall masonry infilled wall type(IFB-1∼3), maximum hrizontal capacity increased by 1.45 to 1.68 times. In the case of cut off the section of column masonry infilled wall type(IFBC-1∼3), It increased by 1.73 to 1.98 times. As for the curtain wall masonry infilled wall type(IFB-1∼3), ductility increased by 1.04 to 1.59 times as the various hoop ratio increased. As the cut off the section of the column masonry infilled wall type(IFBC-1∼3), ductility increased by 1.1 to 1.4 times as the various hoop ratio column increased.
Landscape Planning for Shiwha Migratory Birds Habitat
Joo Shin-Ha,Ahn Se-Hyon Korean Institute of Landscape Architecture 2004 Journal of the Korean institute of landscape archi Vol.2 No.-
Shiwha Lake is an excellent example of a body of water restored from a state of heavy pollution to a cleaner and more ecological state. This paper will explore techniques and methods available to landscape planning for the creation of new migratory birds habitats in Shiwha Lake. Because Shiwha lake is located adjacent to a new industrial site on reclaimed land, any planning effort aimed at restoring bird habitats must carefully consider the existing context. This plan had 3 goals; (1) to restore the coastal environment, (2) to create a habitat for migratory birds, and (3) to administer environmental education programs. To achieve these goals, several objectives were determined and planning criteria were proposed for topology, water environment(fresh, brackish and salt water swamps), zoning(for experts and general visitors), circulations, planting and mounding. The flora and fauna of the site was surveyed, and 5 alternatives were suggested and compared in several aspects. Planting species were carefully selected considering target birds and habitat requirements. In order to increase bio-diversity of the site, the plan proposed multi-staired mounds and extensive drainage systems. Bird watching facilities with natural materials, and the remote observing system using CCTV and the internet were some of the ecological techniques recommended by the plan. The bird watching trails are divided into two different zones for experts and general visitors.

<P>This study was designed to evaluate whether sirolimus (SRL) conversion effectively improves renal function and histopathology in calcineurin inhibitor (CNI)-treated renal recipients with mild to moderate renal insufficiency. SRL conversion from CNI was performed in patients who underwent kidney transplantation from 6 months to 5 yr prior to screening. Forty-five patients were enrolled. The effect of SRL conversion on graft function was evaluated, and protocol biopsies were performed preconversion and 1 yr after conversion. Overall graft function after SRL conversion gradually improved, and the improvement in renal function was closely associated with the shorter duration of CNI exposure. When we divided the patients by the duration of CNI exposure, the patients with less than 1 yr of CNI exposure demonstrated significant improvement, but patients with a greater than 1 yr CNI exposure did not exhibit significant improvement. In contrast, protocol biopsies demonstrated no significant improvements in the modified 'ah' score or other Banff scores after SRL conversion. Furthermore, the duration of CNI treatment prior to SRL conversion was not associated with histological findings 1 yr after SRL conversion. SRL conversion improved graft function in renal recipients with mild to moderate renal insufficiency, but this effect is not accompanied by histological improvement.</P><P><B>Graphical Abstract</B></P><P/>

Auranofin (AF), an orally administered, gold-based, anti-arthritic agent, has emerged as a clinically useful therapeutic drug for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. In the present study, we examined the effects of AF on major histocompatibility complex (MHC)-restricted antigen presentation in dendritic cells (DCs), which are the most important accessory cells for the induction of T cell responses. A mouse dendritic cell line, DC2.4 cells, and DCs that were generated from mouse bone marrow cells by culturing with granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) and interleukin (IL)-4 were each pretreated with AF for 2 hr, and then incubated with ovalbumin (OVA). After the 2-hr incubation, the DCs were fixed, and the amounts of OVA $peptide-H-2K^b$ complexes were assessed using OVA-specific $CD8_+$ T cells. AF inhibited MHC class I-restricted presentation of exogenous OVA. This inhibitory activity of AF appeared to be due not only to the inhibition of the phagocytic activity of DCs, but also to the suppression of MHC molecule expression on DCs. AF also inhibited MHC class II-restricted presentation of exogenous OVA. These results show that AF exerts immunosuppressive activity at least in part by inhibiting MHC-restricted antigen presentation in professional antigen-presenting cells.

In this dissertation, experimental program was carried out to study the hysteretic behavior of the reinforced different floor type interior beam-column joint repeated cyclic loads under seismic actions. The test results was as follow. The reinforced interior beam-column joint, designed by the different floor type, was increased energy dissipation capacity and maximum load carrying capacity according to the increase of different floor in comparison to standard specimen. And it was also dissimilar to failure mode adjacent to joint region, energy dissipation capacity of each specimen, designed by the different floor type, was increased 1.001~1.20 times in comparison to standard specimen.

Auranofin (AF), a gold compound, is an orally active therapeutic agent used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a self-perpetuating inflammatory disease. RA is characterized by autoimmune-mediated proliferation of synovial cells that leads to inflammation, pain, and swelling in most major joints. However, the mechanism as to how AF relieves RA symptoms has not been fully elucidated. The object of this study was to examine the ability of AF to immunomodulate macrophages as antigen presenting cells (APCs). Macrophages are recognized as playing an important role in the pathogenesis of RA, in that there is a relative abundance of macrophagederived cytokines, such as tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}$ ($TNF-{\alpha}$), $interleukin-1{\beta}$ ($IL-1{\beta}$) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in rheumatoid synovium. In this work, we tested whether AF (2.5-20 mM) could inhibit inflammatory activity in the macrophage cell line RAW 264.7. AF decreased production of nitric oxide (NO) and the pro-inflammatory cytokines, $TNF-{\alpha}$, $IL-1{\beta}$ and IL-6 in macrophages. Furthermore, AF inhibited cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2)-dependent prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) production in a concentration-dependent manner. In conclusion, these findings may provide an explanation for the clinical effects of AF in patients with RA.
