      • 운동 직후 고온 침수가 EPOC와 TG/ fatty acid cycling에 미치는 영향

        The purpose this study was to estimate effects of EPOC and TG/fatty acid cycling on warm water immersion of immediately after exercise. To elucidate the role of fatty metabolism, a sequence of five experiments was performed. Seven physically active, male subjects volunteered to participate in the presented study. The mean values for age, body mass and hight were 25±1.52 yr, 79.2±9.52kg, 177.2±4.62cm, respectively. After giving consent, participant visited the laboratory on six occasion: 1) 30min of treadmill exercise VO2max 55% and a further 60min recovery, 2) 30min partial body warm water immersion in a 39℃ and a further 60min recovery, 3) 30min whole body warm water immersion in a 39℃ and a further 60min recovery, 4) 30min of treadmill exercise VO2mas 55% and in 30min partial body warm water immersion in a 39℃, 5) 30min of treadmill exercise VO2max 55% and in 30min whole body warm water immersion in a 39℃. When compared by recover period within repeat on the base of changes of subjects average body temperature, not effective interactions among repeat. However, partial and whole body warm water immersion immediately after exercise shows it as the best effective exercise for VO2max 55%, partial and whole body warm water immersion. When compared by recover period within repeat on the base of changes of subjects EPOC, effective interactions among repeat(p<.05). Partial and whole body warm water immersion immediately after exercise shows it as the best effective exercise for VO2mas 55%, partial and whole body warm water immersion. The catecholamines concentration was significantly higher partial and whole body warm water immersion than exercise of VO2max 55%(p<.05). The TG concentration and free fatty acid was significantly higher partial and whole body warm water immersion immediately after exercise than exercise of VO2max 55% than Partial and whole body warm water immersion(p<.05). Based on the facts that we have discussed above, human metabolism is increased by both exercise and conditions of immersion and partial and whole body warm water immersion immediately after exercise than exercise of VO2maw 55% shows it as better effective treatment for increasing TG/Fatty acid cycling activation. Due to extremely heavy stress complained by subjects during whole body immersion, it is thought that more researches on it should be required.

        과열증기처리 반탄화 추출물의 항산화 효과 검증에 관한 연구

        The antioxidant properties of the extracts from torrefied wood subjected to superheated steam treatment were investigated. Total polyphenolics, total flavonoids, DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) free radical scavenging activity, reducing power, and FRAP (Ferric reducing antioxidant power) were determined to evaluate antioxidant activity. The total polyphenol content was 879.67±40.41 ㎎/mL at a concentration of 25 g/mL when the extract was subjected to a temperature of 300℃ for 10 min, and 759.67±25.17 ㎎/mL at a concentration of 25 g/mL at 350℃ for 10 min. The value of at 300℃ was 15.79% higher than that obtained at 350℃. Total flavonoid content was 111.18±3.55 ㎎/mL at a concentration of 25 g/mL at 300℃ for 10 min, and 80.58±2.58 ㎎/mL at a concentration of 25 g/mL at 350℃ for 10 min. The value at 300℃ was 37.97% higher than that obtained at 350℃. For the DPPH free radical scavenging activity, the highest scavenging activity was observed at a concentration of 6 g/mL. DPPH free radical scavenging activity at a concentration of 6 g/mL at 300℃ for 10 min was 89.83±0.03%, whereas at 350℃ for 10 min at the same concentration, it was found to be 87.99±0.1%. The value at 300℃ was 2.09% higher than that obtained at 350℃. Reducing power was determined to be 3.59±0.04 at a concentration of 25 g/mL at 300℃ for 10 min, and 2.92±0.1 at a concentration of 25 g/mL at 350℃ for 10 min. The value at 300℃ was 22.94% higher than that obtained at 350℃. FRAP was 1742±37 μM at a concentration of 25 g/mL at 300℃ for 10 min, and 1106±8 μM at a at 350℃ for 10 min. At 300℃, the FRAP value was 57.50% higher than that obtained at 350℃. Based on these results, we suggest that torrefied wood treated with superheated steam can be used in various applications because of its effective antioxidant properties.

        Preparation and Properties of Polyurethane Modified with Polyorganosiloxane Sealant

        α, ω-Trimethoxysilyl polyurethane modified with polyorganosiloxane (TUMPS) sealant was prepared by adding additives, such as plasticizer, crosslinking agent, and viscosity increasing agent, to α, ω-trimethoxysilyl polyurethane modified with polyorganosiloxane hybrid elastomer at room temperature under nitrogen atmosphere. The TUMPS hybrid elastomer was crosslinked by the sol-gel reaction of methoxy group of TUMPS with hydroxyl group in the building stone and moisture of the air. It was found that TUMPS sealant exhibited more stable rheological and sealant properties than those of TUMPS hybrid elastomer. The shrinkage rate of TUMPS sealant was 5.82-6.0%, and skin over time was about 40 min. Alkaline resistance showed good characteristics for 15 days, slump was about 4.0-4.3㎜, and oil content, as the diameter soaked oil from wetted filter paper was 1-2㎜ after 7 days.

        Segregation Charging Behavior of Ultra‑Fine Iron Ore Briquette in Sinter Feed Bed: DEM Analysis

        The sinter–briquette complex firing process which is an effective technology for utilization of low grade ultra-fine ore is amethod for charging sinter feed mixed with briquette made of ultra-fine ore. To uniformly fire briquettes using the excessheat from the lower part of the sinter feed bed, they must be segregated in that region. In this study, the particle propertiesand interaction coefficients of real samples were measured and used for a numerical analysis. Furthermore, a discrete elementmethod simulation was used to investigate the characteristics of the sinter feed and briquette charging process, namelyburden distribution and porosity, by varying the shape and mixing ratio of the briquette. The results showed the while theshape of the briquette did not affect the burden distribution and porosity, the porosity at the lower part of the bed proportionallyincreased with the briquette mixing ratio. Furthermore, it was observed that to achieve optimized heat distribution ofthe bed, the proportion of briquette in the charging mixture should be more than 20%.

        흰쥐의 중추성 Serotonin 고갈이 강제수영 중 부동자세 시간, 불안 및 수동적 회피 학습에 미치는 효과

        흰쥐에서 p-chlorphenylalanine(PCPA)로 인한 강제수영 중 부동자세 시간의 단축이 불안이나 수동적 회피 학습 능력의 변화와 관련된 것인가를 검증하고자 하였다. 흰쥐에게 PCPA 300mg/kg 혹은 생리식염수를 하루 한 번 연속 3회 복강내 주사하였다. 마지막 주사 24시간 후에 공간에서의 활동성(ACT0), 높은 십자 통로 실험에서 개방 통로에 머무는 시간(ANX0), 왕복 회피상자에서 통과 지연 시간(STL0) 등을 측정하고 0.5mA 전기자극을 3초간 주어 회피 반응을 학습시켰다. 그리고 15분간 강제수영시켰다. 다음 날 같은 방법으로 활동성(ACT1), 불안(ANX1), 수동적 회피 반응 학습 정도(STL1), 5분간의 강제수영 중 총 부동 자세 시간 등을 측정하였다. 마지막 약물 혹은 대조액 투여 7일 후 수동적 회피 학습 유지 정도(STL7)를 다시 측정하였다. 결과는 아래와 같다. 1) 전체 대상군에서 ACT1은 ACT0보다 감소하였다. PCPA는 개방공간에서의 활동성에 영향을 주지 않았다. 2) PCPA 군은 높은 십자 통로 실험에서 ANX0와 ANX1 둘 다 대조군 보다 유의하게 길었다. 3) STL1은 PCPA군과 대조군 모두 STL0 보다 유의하게 지연되었다. PCPA는 STL0 이나 STL1에 영향을 주지 않았다. 그러나 대조군은 수동적 회피 학습 7일 후에도 통과 지연 시간이 유의하게 연장되어 있는데 반하여 PCPA군은 STL7이 STL0과 유의한 차이가 없었다. 4) 강제수영 중 부동자세 시간은 PCPA군이 대조군보다 유의하게 짧았다. 이상의 결과에서 PCPA 투여로 인한 강제수영 중 부동자세 시간의 단축은 PCPA가 비특이적 신체 활동을 증가시키거나 수동적 회피 반응 습득을 방해함으로써 일어나는 현상이 아니며, 진정 작용없이 탐색 행동을 증가시키거나, 스트레스 하에서의 행동 억제 현상을 차단함으로써 강제수영 중 부동자세 시간을 단축시킨다고 추론한다. 아울러 PCPA가 기억 고정 과정을 방해할 가능성이 있음을 제안한다. Purpose : The test if p-chlorophenylalanine(PCPA) induced decrease of immobility time during forced swimming test in rats is an epiphenomenon related with PCPA-induced changes in anxiety level or learning ability. Methods : 22 male rats(Sprague Dawley, weighting 180-280gm) were randomly assigned to PCPA or control group and treated with 300mg/kg of PCPA or saline i.p. at -72, -48, and -24 hrs. Number of segment(ACT0) entered with 4 limbs on the open field(L100×W100×H40cm, 25 segments), time(ANX0, sec) spent on the open arm(L110×W10cm, 50cm from the ground) in the elevated plus maze, and step-through latency(STL0, cut-off time : 300sec) in the shuttle box(L76.2×W34.3×H50.8cm, 7.5w electric bulb in the light chamber, 0.5mA for 3 sec in the dark chamber) were measured consequently at 24hrs after the last injection of PCPA or saline. After 20min of rest, animals were forced to swim for 15 min(cylinder : φ18×H40cm ; water : H15cm, 25℃). On the next day, the second trial of open field test(ACT1), elevated plus maze test(ANX1), passive avoidance learning test(STL1), and measurement of total immobility time(IT, sec) during the 5min of forced swim were done in the same manner as the first trial except that electrical shock was not given to the animals in the passive avoidance learning test and duration of forced swimming was shortened from 15min to 5min. To evaluate longterm effect of PCPA on maintenance of memory, measurement of step-through latency was repeated 7 days after the first trial(STL7). Result: 1) ACT1 was significantly decreased in the pooled sample, but the effect of PCPA on the general motor activity was not significant. 2) PCPA significantly prolonged the time spent on the open arms in the elevated plus maze test. 3) Comparing to STL0, STL1 was significantly prolonged in both groups. PCPA did not affect STL0 or STL1. STL7 was significantly prolonged in the control group, but not in the PCPA group. 4) PCPA shortened IT significantly. Conclusion : PCPA-induced decrease of immobility time during the forced swimming test in rats seems to be related with disinhibition of stress-related behavioral suppression. PCPA does not affect acquisition and short-term maintenance of passive avoidance learning, but necessity of further studies about its effect on long-term maintenance on memory is raised.

        Forty eight strains of yeast were cultured in potato dextorse(PD) broth at 30˚C for 24 hr and centrifuged with 12,000 rpm for 20 min. After concentrated the cultures, antihypertensive angiotensin I-converting enzyme(ACE) inhibitory activities of its concentrates were investigated. Among them, the concentrates from Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y183-3 showed the highest ACE inhibitory activity of 71.8%. The ACE inhibitor from Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y183-3 was maximally produced when Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y183-3 cultured in PD broth at 30˚C for 36 hr.

        수확 후 산채류의 미생물 제어를 위한 이산화염소수와 유기산 및 Blanching 병합 처리

        수확 후 산채류의 미생물학적 안전성을 확보하기 위해 선정된 산채류인 취나물과 곤드레에 이산화염소수와 유기산 용액 병합 처리 및 이산화염소수, 유기산 용액, blanching 병합처리 후 미생물 제어 효과를 비교 분석하였다. 50 ppm 이산화염소수와 0.5% citric acid 용액의 병합 처리는 취나물과 곤드레의 총 호기성 세균 수를 2.80~3.64 log CFU/g, 효모 및 곰팡이 수는 2.02~2.67 log CFU/g 감소시켰다. 50 ppm이산화염소수와 0.5% fumaric acid 용액의 병합 처리 후 총 호기성 세균 수는 대조구와 비교하여 3.62~3.82 log CFU/g 감소하였으며, 효모 및 곰팡이의 경우에는 2.47~3.02 log CFU/g 만큼 감소하여 이산화염소수와 citric acid 용액의 병합 처리보다 fumaric acid 용액과의 병합 처리가 더 효과적인 병합 처리 조건이라고 생각된다. 이산화염소수와 fumaric acid 병합 처리 후 blanching 처리된 취나물의 총 호기성 세균 수는 대조구보다 5.12 log CFU/g 더 낮게 검출되었으며, 효모 및 곰팡이는 검출되지 않았다. 곤드레의 경우에도 효모 및 곰팡이는 검출되지 않았으며, 총 호기성 세균 수는 대조구와 비교하여 4.59 log CFU/ g 감소하였다. 따라서 본 연구 결과 이산화염소수와 유기산 용액 전처리 후 blanching 병합 처리가 산채류의 미생물학적 안전성을 확보하는 가장 효과적인 방법이라고 판단된다. To improve the microbiological safety of wild vegetables after harvest, Aster scaber and Cirsium setidens Nakai were treated with combinations of 50 ppm aqueous chlorine dioxide (ClO₂)/0.5% citric acid or fumaric acid, and 50 ppm ClO₂/0.5% fumaric acid/blanching at 90°C for 2 min. Combined treatment of 50 ppm ClO₂ and 0.5% citric acid reduced populations of total aerobic bacteria, yeast, and molds in Aster scaber and Cirsium setidens Nakai by 2.80∼3.64 and 2.02∼2.67 log CFU/g, respectively, compared to those of the control. Combined treatment of 50 ppm ClO₂ and 0.5% fumaric acid reduced total aerobic bacteria, yeast and molds populations by 3.62∼3.82 and 2.47∼3.02 log CFU/g, respectively. Based on the results, combined treatment of ClO₂ and fumaric acid was more effective in controlling microorganisms in the wild vegetables than either ClO₂ or citric acid. In addition, combined treatment of ClO₂/fumaric acid/blanching reduced the populations of total aerobic bacteria by 4.59∼5.12 log CFU/g, and populations of yeast and molds were not detected by treatment. These results suggest that combined treatment of ClO₂/fumaric acid/blanching is the most effective method for improving microbiological safety of wild vegetables after harvest.

        생식용 굴(Crassostrea gigas) 작업장의 위생안전성에 대한 모니터링

        This study assessed the safety of raw oysters (Crassostrea gigas) for consumption during processing in a processing plant. Bacterial contamination (e.g., viable cell counts, coliform groups, and pathogenic bacteria) and chemical contamination (e.g., heavy metals and shellfish toxins) were measured on raw oysters, a processing equipment, employees, and work areas. No total mercury, lead, paralytic shellfish poison, diarrheic shellfish poison, or norovirus was detected in any post-harvested oyster samples. However, the cadmium level ranged from 0.1-0.2 mg/kg. The viable cell count and Escherichia coli and coliform group levels in post-harvested oysters ranged from 4.00-4.54 log CFU/g, ND-210 MPN/100 g, and 110-410 MPN/100 g, respectively. The viable contaminating cell counts on employees, equipment, and work areas were in the range of 0.90-3.46 log CFU/100 cm<sup>2</sup>. Airborne bacteria in the work areas ranged from 0.60 to 1.81 log CFU/plate/15 min. Thus, no significant health risks were detected in the processing plant.

        온풍 조건에서 수분 탈락 정도에 따른 피부 분류 및 개선 방안에 대한 연구

        피부를 탄력있고 부드럽게 하는 역할은 각질층에 존재하는 수분량에 의해 좌우된다. 피부 수분량은 냉온풍, 건조환경 등 다양한 환경 변화에 의해 영향을 받음이 알려져 있으나, 개인 피부 차이에 따른 피부수분량 변화와 회복 정도에 대해서는 많은 연구가 이루어 지지 않은 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 온풍 조건하에서 피시험자들의 피부 수분 탈락 및 회복 정도를 비교 평가하여 새로운 피부 타입을 제시하고, 온풍 조건에서 저하되는 피부 수분량을 개선 시켜주는 효능 물질을 개발하고자 하였다. 온풍 환경 조성을 위해, 건강한 피험자(남: 10 명, 여: 39 명, 25 세 - 63 세)의 전완부에 온풍(30 cm, 40 ℃, 6 m/s)을 30 min 간 피부에 노출시켜, 피부 수분량의 변화를 평가하였다. 26명(남: 4 명, 여: 22 명, 평균 연령: 42.7 ± 9.4)이 온풍 노출전에 비하여 온풍 노출 후 수분량이 유의하게 감소하며, 노출 후 30 min이 지나도 회복이 되지 않았다. 온풍노출 후 수분량이 떨어지는 피험자(여: 10 명)를 대상으로 보수력이 높은 크림을 3 주간 전완부에 적용한 이후 동일 온풍 조건하에서 피부 수분량을 측정한 결과, 노출 30 min 후 피부 수분량이 온풍 노출 전 수준으로 회복됨을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 피부는 건조 조건에서 쉽게 수분을 잃어버리는 피부(탈수형 피부)가 존재하는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 앞으로 화장품 개발을 보습 기능뿐만 아니라, 이러한 환경변화에 따른 피부수분이 쉽게 빠져나가는 피부(탈수형 피부)의 특성에 맞는 제품의 효능 개발이 필요함을 보여준다. Elasticity and softness of the skin depend on the level of moisture present in the stratum corneum, which is known to be affected by various environmental changes, such as cold and hot winds and dry environments. However, not many studies have been conducted on changes in skin moisture and the degree of recovery due to individual skin differences. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the effect of warm air heating on skin hydration levels and develop moisturizing formulas to improve lowered skin hydration levels. In order to deliver warm air heating condition, heating dryer (40 ℃, 6 m/s, 30 cm apart from forearm) was applied into inner forearm of healthy subjects (male: 10, female: 39, age: 25 - 63) Among 49 subjects, 26 subjects showed significantly lowered skin hydration levels until 30 min after warm air heating exposure (lowered group). In addition, moisturizing cream with high water holding capacity was applied to forearm of 10 subjects in lowered group for 3 weeks and skin hydration levels after warm air heating were significantly improved at the levels of before application of warm air heating. From this study, we found out that there is a skin type that skin hydration levels are significantly decreased under warm air heating condition (dehydrated skin) and this dehydrated skin can be improved by moisturizing formulas with high water holding capacity.
