Chronic inflammatory condition associated with metallic implant insertion is a risk factor for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Metal ions play a role in the pathogenesis of lymphoma. We report a rare case of DLBCL in a patient who had a metallic implant in the proximal tibia for 15 months. Radiologic studies, including US and MRI, showed disproportionately large extraosseous soft-tissue mass and bone marrow involvement without prominent bone destruction. Multiple complications are associated with metallic implants, and misdiagnosis may lead to inappropriate treatment. Therefore, distinguishing lymphomas caused by a metallic implant-induced chronic inflammatory condition from other periprosthetic benign lesions and malignant soft tissue masses is challenging, but it is critical.
A Study on Developing Designs and the Practical Use of Outdoor Backpacks Equipped with Solar Cells

Smart Clothes`, which incorporate topnotch digital technology into fashion, are a leading fashion runner in this digital era. The purpose of the study is to first help develop a practical design for outdoor backpacks which are equipped with eco-friendly solar cells that facilitate recharging diverse smart devices during outdoor activities; and, secondly, to offer some practical data from the actual appropriation tests that will be used for manufacturing such products. This trial study finds out how to conjoin some practical IT devices with fashion items and mainly focusses on designing outdoor backpacks which are loaded with solar cells for recharging electric devices, and, later, experiments on designed backpacks with some smart phones to see how it works. According to the desired purposes of backpacks, all the features can be adjusted and modified such as the kinds of solar cell panels, materials, sizes, positions of attachment, weights, etc. Smart Clothes are highly functional and fashionable items that satisfy both practical and emotional purposes, and are being actively developed to serve consumers. This study proves that Smart Clothes or Smart Wear will have practical uses for outdoor activities and will possibly lead our smart lifestyles.
Evaluation of Genetic Diversity among Korean Wild Codonopsis lanceolata by Using RAPD

The introduction of molecular biology methodologies to plant improvement programs offers an invaluable opportunity for extensive germplasm characterization. We have applied the developed technique of random amplification of polymorphic DNA(RAPD)to the analysis of evaluating genetic diversity among Korean wild Codonopsis lanceolata. A total of 340 polymorpic hands were gernerated on agarose- and polyacrylamide-gel by 19 primers of abitrary sequence. grouped by cluster analysis using sample matching coefficients of similarity. Among of the samples. the minimum genetic distance value was obtained between sample no. 1(Girisan) and no. 2(Girisan), and the largest value between sample no. 11(Sulaksan) and no. 17(Sulaksan).In separate cluster dendrograms based on agareose - and polyacryamide-gel. some differences were observed; In the case of agarose gel,41 samples could be devided into 7 groups at below about 0.44 level of distance. However they were divided into 6 gourps at below about 0.40 level of distance in the case of polyacrylamide gel. These results showed that polymophic data in agrose were not grouped to wild plant selected from each mountainous district except for wild plants selected from Sulaksan and Chiaksan. We believe that polyacrylamide-RAPD is a superior method for detecting DNA polymorphism compared to agarose-RAPD method.
S-375 : Incidence and Clinical Course of Acute Kidney Injury

Purpose: Severe trauma is a traumatic injury to cause single or multiple lesions that are immediately or potentially life threatening. Although acute kidney injury (AKI) is thought to commonly develop in patients with severe trauma, it is rarely reported. This study was performed to the incidence and clinical course of AKI in adult patients with severe trauma. Methods: We retrospectively evaluated the medical records of 150 adult patients with severe trauma between January 2011 and December 2011 in a single University Hospitals. We investigated the incidence and clinical course of AKI, and mortality in severe trauma patients. Severe trauma was defined as more than 15 of injury severity score. Results: Mean age of the patients was 50±17 years (18-94 years) and the number of male was 110. Of the total 150 patients, the number of diabetes mellitus, hypertension, were 11 (7.3%), 16 (16.1%), but chronic kidney disease was never seen. The incidence of hypotensive shock at admission was 14.0% (n=21) and 19 patients (12.7%) died during admission. AKI was observed in 30 patients (20%). The peak serum creatinine level in AKI patients was 3.38±1.75 mg/dL (1.53-7.89 mg/dL). AKI developed within 3 days after admission in 27 of 30 patients. Of the total 30 AKI patients, 6 patients (20%) received CRRT. Thirteen patients (43.3%) survived with complete improvement of kidney function and 17 patients died without kidney improvement. When compared to normal renal function group (n=120), AKI group (n=30) had higher mortality (56.7% vs 1.3%, p<0.0001). Conclusions: The incidence of AKI was high (20%) in patients with severe trauma and AKI patients showed higher mortality, compared to patients with normal renal function.
A Study on Emotional Classification Algorithm using Vibraimage Technology

According to the growth of mechanical and technical development of IT technology, development of new technologies has been attempted by combining the human sensitivity into the existing technology. Particularly, studies to predict recognition based on the physiological signal sensitivity are performed actively. Signal quality of the direct contact sensor is accurate but it is inefficient to use, and the sensitivity measurement of physiological responses of human beings through contact sensing has environmental limitations such as the existing burden and uncomfortable feeling of wearing. Thus, techniques that can be detected by recognizing sensitivity in a free range are required to overcome these problems. In this study, the Vibraimage(vibration imaging) technology based on vestibulo-emotional reflex (VER) is trying to classify on the basis of the sensitivity of two-dimensional emotion model as the non-contact sensing technology. Russell`s emotional state model based on the pleasure, displeasure, arousal, relaxation was given as the emotional stimuli. In accordance with confirming the pattern of emotional changes through parameters acquired from the vibration imaging techniques, as a non-contact sensing technology, the Vibraimage technology contributes to the study of sensitive classification.

This study provides the structural design for commercialization of outdoor breathable waterproof jackets for men merged with solar cells to enable emergency communications, utilizing wearable devices to develop smart clothing and extend convenience in everyday life. The most popular waterproof jacket with two-layer and three-layer moisture-permeable waterproof fabric was selected, based on previous studies of functional outdoor jackets and style with affinity to fashion. Flexible solar films suitable for clothing were embedded in the lining of the sleeve area and hood visor, and printed film was developed to balance weight and design. High performance smart solar jackets have application to expanding the use of smart phones for everyday and emergency communication, and leisure and outdoor sports activities, as well as day-to-day functions as a waterproof breathable outdoor jacket for men. It is also eco-friendly. Satisfying both the aesthetic and practical, a solar celljacket with smart features, is an innovative tool for use in a variety of outdoor activities, and a fashion-forward commercialized product.
