        Accuracy of cardiac output measurements during off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting: according to the vessel anastomosis sites

        Background: During beating heart surgery, the accuracy of cardiac output (CO) measurement techniques may be influenced by several factors. This study was conducted to analyze the clinical agreement among stat CO mode (SCO), continuous CO mode (CCO), arterial pressure waveform-based CO estimation (APCO), and transesophageal Doppler ultrasound technique (UCCO) according to the vessel anastomosis sites. Methods: This study was prospectively performed in 25 patients who would be undergoing elective OPCAB. Hemodynamic variables were recorded at the following time points: during left anterior descending (LAD) anastomosis at 1 min and 5 min; during obtuse marginal (OM) anastomosis at 1 min and 5 min: and during right coronary artery (RCA) anastomosis at 1 min and 5 min. The variables measured including the SCO, CCO, APCO, and UCCO. Results: CO measurement techniques showed different correlations according to vessel anastomosis site. However, the percent error observed was higher than the value of 30% postulated by the criteria of Critchley and Critchley during all study periods for all CO measurement techniques. Conclusions: In the beating heart procedure, SCO, CCO and APCO showed different correlations according to the vessel anastomosis sites and did not agree with UCCO. CO values from the various measurement techniques should be interpreted with caution during OPCAB.       • NW6005를 이용한 발신자 번호 추적 장치 개발

        NW6005의 칩을 이용하여 발신자 번호 데이터를 추적하는데 성공하였고 그 뿐만 아니라 두 개 이상의 전화에서 발신자 번호 데이터를 수신하더라도 데이터가 깨지지 않고 제대로 수신하는 알고리즘을 구상하였고 그에 대한 실험은 성공적이었으며 또한 전화 통신중의 오류에 대한 문제도 해결하였다. 최종적으로 4개의 전화선에서 하나 또는 동시에 발신자 번호를 추적하여 시리얼 통신으로 데이터를 전송시키는 장비를 개발하였다.

      • 사람 갑상선자극호르몬 수용체를 발현하는 Chinese Hamster Ovary(hTSHR-CHO)세포를 이용한 자극형 갑상선자극호르몬 수용체 항체 활성 측정의 임상적 유용성

        Detection of thyroid stimulating hormone receptor(TSHR) autoantibodies has clinical value in establishing the diagnosis of Graves ' disease, and in predicting its clinical course with high sensitivity and high specificity. Especially, TBII using radioreceptor assay has been widely used. Recently, for detecting thyroid stimulating antibody(TSAb), a sensitive method using human TSH receptor-transfected Chinese Hamster Ovary(CHO) cells has been developed and clinically used. The aims of this study are to determine the change and discrepancy of 2 TSHR autoantibodics in clinical course and to evaluate the correlation between 2 autoantibodies. We measured TSAb and TBII in 30 newly diagnosed and untreated patients and in 73 previously diagnosed as Graves ' disease and treated with antithyroid drug. Also we compared the changes of the antibodies in clinical course and correlation between 2 antibodies. Thes results are summarized follows. 1. In newly diagnosed patients, all of the 30 patients had positive TBII and/or TSAb. None of them had negative TBII and negative TSAb. And in newly diagnosed patients, mean TBII and mean TSAb values are 46.8% and 361%, respectively. In 73 treated patients mean values are 18. 7% and 196% each other. Therefore, newly diagnosed group has significant greater TBII and TSAb than antithyroid drug-treated group. 2. TBII was significantly different between euthyroid group and thyrotoxic group in antithyroid drug-treated patients, but TSAb was not. 3. TBII was sequentially decreased as increased medication duration, but TSAb was not shown sequential decrease as increased medication duration. 4. There was significant negative correlation between cumulative doses of antithyroid drug and TBII, but no significant correlation between cumulative doses and TSAb. 6. There was significant positive correlation between TBII and TSAb in total patients group and in antithyroid drug medication group, but not in newly diagnosed group. In conclusion, in Graves ' disease patients, detection of TSHR antibodies are clinical values in establishing the diagnosis and prediction of clinical course. A method detecting TSAb using hTSHR-CHO cells should be further studied for standardization of measurement, and for detecting the changes of TSAb in clinical course, long-term follow-up of patients are important.

        Most concrete is recently made of an aggregate which is properly absorbed, and earned in it in order to do capability at every fields. We have been close to demand new capability of high flowing and enduring for specific concretes. That is difficult to cope with claiming the efficiency on deterioration from lack of a high quality aggregate. Therefore, For solving the problems we apply to a packing method for using dried materials. That is to say it is a kind of making into an instant. In this study, There is a purpose to present fundamental data, comparing and analyzing a phenomenon about aggregate's absorption following the rate of adding water, for using existing materials.

      • 회수수에 당류계 안정화제를 처리한 시멘트 모르터의 특성

        In this paper, fundamental properties of cement mortar using recycled water with stabilizing agent are discussed in order to investigate the applicability of recycled water. Stabilizing agent content, solid contents and open time are varied in this paper. For fresh mortar properties, highest fluidity with 0.15% of stabilizing agent was observed and air content was increased with an increase in stabilizing agent contents. Solid contents and open time of recycled water had nothing to do with fluidity and air content loss. Little difference in setting time was found with the presence of stabilizing agent and without, while it was accelerated with an increase in open time and solid content. For strength properties, the highest strength value was observed at 0.15% of stabilizing agent. An increase in solid contents resulted in an enhancement of strength, while strength decreased with an increase in open time and elapse of age. Drying shrinkage exhibited a reduction with an increase in stabilizing agent contents and open time. From the present paper, the combination of 0.15% of sacharic based stabilizing agent, 3% of solid content and 1day of open time is found to be an optimal condition to perform effectively.

        고등학생이 거짓말하는 이유와 교사들의 대응방식에 대한 현상학적 연구

        본 연구는 서울의 H고등학교에 재학 중인 학생들과 교사들을 대상으로 현상학적 연구방법을 통해 고등학생들이 학교장면에서 거짓말을 하는 이유와 이에 대한 교사의 반응경험을 살펴보기 위하여 수행되었다. 두 차례의 의미 분류 작업을 거쳐 도출된 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들은 자신과 친구들의 잘못으로 인해 교사와 학교 측으로부터 벌을 받는 것을 극도로 싫어했다. 학생들은 거짓말을 통해 체벌과 제재의 상황을 모면하고 있었다. 학생들은 거짓말이 자신을 교사의 매와 귀찮은 잔소리에서 살렸다고 생각하고 있었던 것이다. 둘째, 청소년시기의 학생들은 매일같이 얼굴을 마주쳐야하는 급우들과의 관계를 매우 중시하고 있었다. 거짓말은 이러한 급우들 간의 관계 속에서 자신의 이미지를 제고시키고 이를 통해 자신의 이익을 극대화하기 위한 수단으로 사용되고 있었다. 셋째, 학생들은 교사가 교실내의 권력자임을 잘 알고 있었다. 교사와의 관계에 따라 자신의 학교생활과 미래가 달라질 수 있다는 점 또한 정확히 인지하고 있었다. 학생들은 교사와 좋은 관계를 맺어 자신의 이익을 극대화하기 위해 교사를 향한 선의의 거짓말을 하고 있었다. 이러한 학생들의 거짓말에 대해 교사들은 다음과 같이 반응하였다. 첫째, 교사들은 학생들의 거짓말에 대한 처벌을 극단으로 설정하고 학생들을 위협했다. 학생들이 잘못을 빌거나 교사의 기분이 나아지면 중용의 미를 살려 거짓말한 학생을 처분하였다. 둘째, 교사들 은 자신의 연륜과 경험을 통해 학생들의 거짓말의 의도에서부터 결과까지 모든 것을 예측하고 있었다. 따라서 교사들에게 학생들의 거짓말은 어린아이들의 재롱정도로 밖에 여기지 않았다. 또한, 교사들은 스스로를 ‘거짓말 잡는 귀신’으로 여기고 있었다. 당연히 학생들의 거짓말에 대해 완벽히 대응을 하고 있다고 확신하고 있었다. 본 연구에서는 이 같은 연구결과를 바탕으로 하여 교사와 학생간의 원활한 의사소통 방안을 위해 학생 거짓말에 대한 교사들의 수용적 태도변화가 필요하다는 점을 제안하였다. The goal of this study were to examine the cause of Korean high school students lies and to understand the teachers reaction. In doing so, phenomenological perspective attitude were conducted in the H high school located in Seoul. Researchers transcribed conversation between students and teachers and looked for meaning of lie in a teacher's room called as a front stage and in car, street, restaurants called as a backstage. To arranges and analyzed answer about cause of students' lie and teachers' reaction of that, researchers read repeatedly with other researchers and investigated all these recordings and research materials. According to this study procedure, drawn findings of the study were as follows. Cause of Korean high school students lies: 1) In order to avoid the situation with trouble. 2) To build an image among friends 3) Makes teachers feel better. Teachers' reaction: 1) In extreme circumstances, to find the moderation. 2) Believe in yourself and experience of the annual ring, were strong enough to lie cute tricks. From these findings, it is suggested that teachers need to change their attitude regarding the students' lie. Especially they should have educational acceptant attitude to students in the school.

        가정운동 프로그램이 노인의 보행증진에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of home exercise program on the improvement of gait in the elderly. Subjects were forty members living in Daegu (20 males, 20 females), between 65 and 81 years of age. The subjects were divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, and each group included 10 males and 10 females. The subjects for the experimental group were participated in the home exercise program for 8 weeks, between April 2001 and June 2001. The results of this study were as follows: (1) General characteristics statistically significantly affection for Chair stand were age, vision, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, mental status and thigh BMI; systolic blood pressure and mental status were for 6-meter walks. Six-meter steps and stair climb were not statistically significantly affected by any of the general characteristics. (2) After the exercise program, standing from a chair significantly improved 14.3% (p<0.01); time for six-meter walk improved 20.4% (p<0.05); number of steps for six-meter walk improved 7.5% (p<0.05); and time for walking up and down one stair improved 16.3% (p<0.01) significantly in the experimental group. (3) In comparison of gait ability with the control group, the experimental group was significantly improved in chair stand (p<0.05), time for six-meter walk(p<0.05), and number of steps for six-meter walk(p<0.05). Stair climb also improved with no statistical significance. As a result of this study, the home exercise program improved muscle strength, balance, and gait in the elderly. It is suggested that continuous health care for the elderly using this home exercise program could be helpful to enhance health of the elderly and promote their quality of life.

      • Effect of Chromatin Changes in the Germinal Vesicle on the Development of Porcine Embryos In Vitro

        In all the studies of mammalian species, chromatin in the germinal vesicle (GV) is initially decondensed with the nucleolus not surrounded by heterochromatin (the NSN configurations). During oocyte growth, the GV chromatin condenses into perinucleolar rings (the SN configurations) or other corresponding configurations with or without the perinucleolar rings, depending on species. During oocyte maturation, the GV chromatin is synchronized in a less condensed state before germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD) in species that has been minutely studied. As not all the species show the SN configuration and gene transcription always stops at the late stage of oocyte growth, it is suggested that a thorough condensation of GV chromatin is essential for transcriptional repression. Because the GV chromatin status is highly correlated with oocyte competence, oocytes must end the NSN configuration before they gain the full meiotic competence and they must take on the SN/corresponding configurations and stop gene transcription before they acquire the competence for early embryonic development. In this study, we firstly investigated whether the layer of cumulus cells and size of oocytes could determine chromatin configurations in porcine oocytes. Using Hoechst3342 staining, the GV nucleolus and chromatin of porcine oocytes was classified into SN and NSN configurations. Next, we examined the changes in GV chromatin configurations during growth and maturation of porcine oocytes. In addition, the maturation and parthenogenetic development abilities in vitro were significant different between the SN and NSN configurations oocytes. These results indicated that chromatin changes in GV oocytes affect the development potential of parthenogenetic embryos.

        적조생물구제농도의 Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl)의 노출에 따른 조피볼락 및 바지락의 조직학적 영향

        In a previous study by Kim et al. (2000), sodium hypochlorite (NaOCI) has been demonstrated to be effective against algae that cause red tides. To secure the environmental safety of the chemical in practical use, effect of NaOC1, at concentrations. required for algicidal activity, on the histology of rockfish and little neck clam was examined. When the animals were exposed to NaOCI at concentrations of 0.5 or 2 ppm for I hr, there was no exposure-associated histological change in either animal. As the experimental exposure condition was set in consideration of the use, our results provide safety information necessary for practical application to marine fields.
