Discrete-time Linear Descriptor System Unknown Input Observer Design: an Auxiliary Output-based Approach

        Jiancheng Zhang,Jun Li,Fanglai Zhu,Xiaohang Li 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2017 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.15 No.6

This paper develops a new unknown input observer (UIO) design method for a class of discrete-timelinear descriptor systems when the observer matching condition is not satisfied. By equivalent transformations, thestate and unknown input observations of the descriptor system are changed to the UIO design problem for a generallinear dynamic system firstly. Then based on some further discussion on the concept of the system left invertibility,a new auxiliary output vector is constructed which allows us to remove the unknown inputs from the dynamicequation, and thereby a Luenberger-type observer can be constructed. One of the advantages of the present methodis that it can work only under the single strongly detectable condition. Finally, a simulation example is given toverify the effectiveness and show the superiorities of our methods.

Output Control of MIMO System with Unmatched Disturbance based on High-order Unknown Input Observer

Jiancheng Zhang,Fanglai Zhu 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2017 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.15 No.2

In this paper, the output control for a general MIMO linear system subjected to unmatched disturbance isconsidered. A smooth backstepping control law is developed under the assumption that the state and disturbance aswell as its derivatives are known firstly. Then in order to estimate the required information, a high-order unknowninput observer (HOUIO) is developed, and it is proven that based on the estimation by such the HOUIO, the designedcontroller can compensate all the disturbances from output channels and asymptotically drive the output to zero. Comparing with the traditional sliding mode control laws, the control law we design does not contain any switchingfunction, so it can effectively reduce the chattering. Finally, simulation results are given to show the effectivenessof our methods.

Mitigating Disturbance in Harmonic Voltage Using Grid‑side Current Feedback for Grid‑connected LCL‑fltered Inverter

        Ye Zhang,Muqin Tian,Jiancheng Song,XiaoYu Zhang 대한전기학회 2020 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.15 No.3

As the interface between new energy and power grid, the grid-connected LCL-fltered inverter plays a key role in energy conversion. However, it performs poor at rejecting grid background harmonics that distort the grid-side current and afect the quality of the output power of the inverter. Thus, a feedback strategy for the grid-side current employing the proportional integral and resonant controller (PI+HC) is used to mitigate the harmonics of the grid-side current and improves the quality of the output power of the grid-connected LCL-fltered inverter. Owing to the grid-side current feedback control system is unstable, improved High Pass Filter (HPF) active damping based on unit delay feedback is used to guarantee stability and efectiveness of PI+HC. The proposed method for mitigating grid-side current harmonics is validated by a detailed simulation and the results of experiments.

Oligopeptide derived from solid-state fermented cottonseed meal significantly affect the immunomodulatory in BALB/c mice treated with cyclophosphamide

        Jiancheng Liu,Hong Sun,Cunxi Nie,Wenxia Ge,Yongqiang Wang,Wen-Ju Zhang 한국식품과학회 2018 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.27 No.6

In this study, the immunomodulatory activity of oligopeptide (CP) derived from solid-state fermented cottonseed meal were investigated in immunosuppressed BALB/c mice models by treatment with cyclophosphamide (CY). Results indicated that oligopeptide increased the thymus and spleen indices of CY-treated mice. The count of plague forming cells (PFC) and the content of half serum hemolysis (HC50) in immunosuppressive mice were restored to the normal level in CP-10 and CP-20 groups while the cytokines interleukin (IL)-2, IL-6, and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-a) were increased significantly in CP-20 group. Similar increasing the immunoglobulin of IgG and IgM content in the serum of CP-10 group were also observed. These findings indicated that oligopeptide derived from solid-state fermented cottonseed meal had a strong immune-enhancing activity as well as a protective effect against immunosuppression induced by cyclophosphamide in mice.

A Numerical Method to Reduce the Stray Magnetic Field Around the Asymmetrical Wireless Power Transfer Coils for Electric Vehicle Charging

        Zhang Wenjie,Song Jiancheng,Lin Lingyan,Ren Hui,Zheng Lijun,Gao Yunguang,Song Yuan 대한전기학회 2022 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.17 No.3

Wireless power transfer (WPT) is becoming increasingly popular in stationary electric vehicle charging. Unfortunately, the adverse health eff ects due to the stray magnetic fi eld created by the WPT coils have increasingly caused concern. However, the traditional stray magnetic fi eld optimization design method based on fi nite element simulation is time-consuming and resource intensive. In this paper, a numerical method to reduce the stray magnetic fi eld around the asymmetrical wireless power transfer coils is proposed while maintaining the transmission power constant. The formulas of the stray magnetic fi eld around the WPT coils are derived, and the distribution characteristics of the stray magnetic fi eld are analyzed in detail. The stray magnetic fi eld around the asymmetrical wireless power transfer coils is optimized by the numerical method, and the number of the turns for the WPT coils corresponding to the minimum stray magnetic fi eld intensity is obtained. The eff ectiveness of the numerical method is verifi ed via the fi nite element analysis tool JMAG, and it is proved that the numerical method require less computational time than the fi nite element simulation. The experiments have also been carried out to evaluate the validity of the theoretical analysis.

Circ_0001686 Promotes Prostate Cancer Progression by Up-Regulating SMAD3/TGFBR2 via miR-411-5p

        Pan Jiancheng,Liu Zihao,Yang Zhizhao,Liang Enli,Fang Cheng,Zhang Dingrong,Zhou Xiaodong,Niu Yuanjie,Xin Zhongcheng,Chen Yegang,Cai Qiliang 대한남성과학회 2022 The World Journal of Men's Health Vol.40 No.1

Purpose: As the mechanism of interaction between circular RNAs (circRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs) in regulating the development of prostate cancer (PCa) is not clear, this study focuses on investigating these effects. Materials and Methods: Sample tissues were collected from the PCa of patients, and microarray analysis of human circRNAs was conducted. The expression of circ_0001686, hsa_miR-411-5p (miR-411-5p) were also detected by qRT-PCR. Circ_0001686 and miR-411-5p mimics were transfected into the PCa cell lines (CWR22RV1and LNCaP) and MTT, colony formation, Transwell, and scratch wound assays were used to analyze the biological behaviors of PCa cells. Si-circ_0001686 and ASO-miR-411-5p were used as negative controls, and dual-luciferase reporter assays were performed to verify the interactions among circ_0001686, miR-411-5p, and SMAD3/TGFBR2. The levels of SMAD3 and TGFBR2 in different treated PCa cells were measured by western blot, and in vivo experiments in a nude mouse model were carried out to strengthen the in vitro findings of miR-411-5p. Results: The expression of circ_0001686 was up-regulated, while the expression of miR-411-5p was down-regulated in PCa cells. Moreover, circ_0001686 promoted cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Molecular mechanism exploration revealed that circ_0001686 could reduce miR-411-5p, affecting the downstream target genes of SMAD3 and TGFBR2. In vitro and in vivo studies verified that miR-411-5p inhibits PCa progression. Conclusions: Circ_0001686 can reduce miR-411-5p to increase the expression of SMAD3/TGFBR2, which consequently promotes the proliferation, invasion, and migration of PCa cells.

Experimental study on vertically upward steam-water two-phase flow patterns in narrow rectangular channel

        Zhou, Jiancheng,Ye, Tianzhou,Zhang, Dalin,Song, Gongle,Sun, Rulei,Deng, Jian,Tian, Wenxi,Su, G.H.,Qiu, Suizheng Korean Nuclear Society 2021 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.53 No.1

Experiments of vertically upward steam-water two-phase flow have been carried out in single-side heated narrow rectangular channel with a gap of 3 mm. Flow patterns were identified and classified through visualization directly. Slug flow was only observed at 0.2 MPa but replaced by block-bubble flow at 1.0 MPa. Flow pattern maps at the pressure of 0.2 MPa and 1.0 MPa were plotted and the difference was analyzed. The experimental data has been compared with other flow pattern maps and transition criteria. The results show reasonable agreement with Hosler's, while a wide discrepancy is observed when compared with air-water two-phase experimental data. Current criteria developed based on air-water experiments poorly predict bubble-slug flow transition due to the different formation and growth of bubbles. This work is significant for researches on heat transfer, bubble dynamics and flow instability.

Long-term continuously monocropped peanut significantly disturbed the balance of soil fungal communities

        Chen Mingna,Zhang Jiancheng,Liu Hu,Wang Mian,Pan LiJuan,Chen Na,Wang Tong,Jing Yu,Chi Xiaoyuan,Du Binghai 한국미생물학회 2020 The journal of microbiology Vol.58 No.7

Balancing soil microbial diversity and abundance is critical to sustaining soil health, and understanding the dynamics of soil microbes in a monocropping system can help determine how continuous monocropping practices induce soil sickness mediated by microorganisms. This study used previously constructed gradient continuous monocropping plots and four varieties with different monocropping responses were investigated. The feedback responses of their soil fungal communities to short-term and long-term continuous monocropping were tracked using high-throughput sequencing techniques. The analyses indicated that soil samples from 1 and 2 year monocropped plots were grouped into one class, and samples from the 11 and 12 year plots were grouped into another, regardless of variety. At the species level, the F. solani, Fusarium oxysporum, Neocosmospora striata, Acrophialophora levis, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus corrugatus, Thielavia hyrcaniae, Emericellopsis minima, and Scedosporium aurantiacum taxa showed significantly increased abundances in the long-term monocropping libraries compared to the short-term cropping libraries. In contrast, Talaromyces flavus, Talaromyces purpureogenus, Mortierella alpina, Paranamyces uniporus, and Volutella citrinella decreased in the long-term monocropping libraries compared to the shortterm libraries. This study, combined with our previous study, showed that fungal community structure was significantly affected by the length of the monocropping period, but peanut variety and growth stages were less important. The increase in pathogen abundances and the decrease in beneficial fungi abundances seem to be the main cause for the yield decline and poor growth of long-term monocultured peanut. Simplification of fungal community diversity could also contribute to peanut soil sickness under long-term monocropping. Additionally, the different responses of peanut varieties to monocropping may be related to variations in their microbial community structure.

Effects of Subdiaphragmatic Vagotomy in the MPTP-induced Neurotoxicity in the Striatum and Colon of Mice

        Jiajing Shan,Youge Qu,Jiancheng Zhang,Li Ma,Kenji Hashimoto 대한정신약물학회 2022 CLINICAL PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY AND NEUROSCIENCE Vol.20 No.2

Objective: Gut—microbiota—brain axis plays a role in the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease (PD). The subdiaphragmatic vagus nerve serves as a major modulatory pathway between the gut microbiota and the brain. However, the role of subdiaphragmatic vagus nerve in PD pathogenesis are unknown. Here, we investigated the effects of subdiaphragmatic vagotomy (SDV) on the neurotoxicity in the mouse striatum and colon after administration of 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6- tetrahydropyridine (MPTP). Methods: Sham or SVD was performed. Subsequently, saline or MPTP (10 mg/kg × 3, 2-hour interval) was administered to mice. Western blot analysis of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) and dopamine transporter (DAT) in the striatum and phosphorylated α-synuclein (p-α-Syn) in the colon was performed. Results: Repeated administration of MPTP significantly caused reduction of TH and DAT in the striatum and increase of p-α-Syn in the colon of mice. However, SDV did not affect the reduction of TH and DAT in the striatum and increases in p-α-Syn in the colon after repeated MPTP administration. Conclusion: These data suggest that subdiaphragmatic vagus nerve doses not play a role in the MPTP-induced neurotoxicity in the brain and colon.

Unknown Input Reconstruction via Interval Observer and State and Unknown Input Compensation Feedback Controller Designs

        Fanglai Zhu,Wei Zhang,Jiancheng Zhang,Shenghui Guo 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2021 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.19 No.1

In this paper, we investigate the state estimation, unknown input and measurement noise reconstructionproblems and the feedback controller design issues for a linear discrete-time system with both unknown inputsand measurement noises. First, an augmented system is constructed and the state vector of the augmented systemconsists of the original system state and the measurement noise, and the preconditions between the original systemand the augmented system is discussed in detail. Second, for the augmented system, a reduced-order observeris designed so that the original system state estimates and the measurement noise reconstruction can be obtained. Third, in order to get the asymptotical unknown input reconstruction, an interval observer for part of the measurableoutput is proposed and an unknown input reconstruction method based on the interval observer is developed. Finally,an observer-based state feedback and unknown input controller is designed and the closed-loop system stability isanalyzed. We point out that the closed-loop system satisfies the so-called separation property. At last, two simulationexamples are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
