Two Cases of Stress Cardiomyopathy during Esophagogastroduodenoscopy
Jong Won Yu,Jong Ha Park,Pil-Sang Song,Jae Hyun Park,Min Sung Kim,Gi Jung Jeon,Min Sik Kim,Tae Oh Kim 대한소화기내시경학회 2016 Clinical Endoscopy Vol.49 No.1
Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) is considered a relatively safe procedure. However, the procedure and the materials used in EGD with conscious sedation can cause stress to the patient. Adverse events during EGD have been reported, represented by cardiopulmonary complications. To date, five cases have reported worldwide to be associated with gastrointestinal endoscopy. Stress cardiomyopathy (SCMP) is a reversible cardiomyopathy that typically occurs in postmenopausal women due to stress and may resolve within a few weeks. SCMP resembles acute myocardial infarction but differs in terms of treatment and prognosis. Here, we describe two cases of SCMP with shock during EGD with conscious sedation.
Speed Improvement of an FTICR Mass Spectra Analysis Program by Simple Modifications
Jeon, Sang-Hyun,Chang, Hyeong-Soo,Hur, Man-Hoi,Kwon, Kyung-Hoon,Kim, Hyun-Sik,Yoo, Jong-Shin,Kim, Sung-Hwan,Park, Soo-Jin,Oh, Han-Bin Korean Chemical Society 2009 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.30 No.9
Two simple algorithm modifications are made to the THRASH data retrieval program with the aim of improving analysis speed for complex Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance (FTICR) mass spectra. Instead of calculating the least-squares fit for every charge state in the backup charge state determination algorithm, only some charge states are pre-selected based on the plausibility values obtained from the FT/Patterson analysis. Second, a modification is made to skip figure-of-merit (FOM) calculations in the central m/z region between two neighboring peaks in isotopic cluster distributions, in which signal intensities are negligible. These combined modifications result in a significant improvement in the analysis speed, which reduces analysis time as much as 50% for ubiquitin (8.6 kDa, 76 amino acids) FTICR MS and MS/MS spectra at the reliability (RL) value = 0.90 and five pre-selected charge states with minimal decreases in data analysis quality (Table 3).
A Novel Low-Profile Chip Antenna for GPS Application
Sang-Won Kang,Seung Gil Jeon,Jong kyu Kim,Jung Hur 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
A novel single-layer low-profile microstrip antenna for Global Positioning System (GPS) application is proposed. The designed antenna consists of microstrip line and four pads for fabrication with system ground. The antenna pattern is folded and similar with fractal structure. The physical length of antenna pattern controls the operation frequency of resonance mode and added four pads are used to install proposed antenna on system ground. The antenna pattern is on FR-4 substrate which is 0.8㎜ in thickness and 10 ㎜ × 10 ㎜ in size. The low-profile structure can be good candidate for compact mobile GPS receiver equipment. The results show that the proposed antenna satisfies 10 ㏈ return loss requirement in the frequency band of GPS. Maximum radiation gain is 0㏈i.

Hardware Implementation of Block Cipher ARIA
Sang-Woo Lee,Young-Sung Jeon,Taek-Yong Nam,Jong-Soo Jang 대한전자공학회 2007 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2007 No.7
ARIA is a 128-bit symmetric block cipher having 128-bit, 192-bit, or 256-bit key lengths. The block cipher is a substitution and permutation encryption network(SPN) which uses an involution binary matrix. ARIA has two procedures which are the key scheduling and the round operation. This paper presents the efficient hardware architecture of ARIA. The proposed architecture shares the key scheduling and the round operation. Our ARIA has 11,330 slices which includes ROM tables and works at 96㎒ using Xilinx Virtex-Ⅱ.

<P>We describe a highly efficient method for fabricating a variety of complex 3D nano-patterns from a single master pattern using secondary sputtering lithography, which is a 10 nm scale patterning method that we have developed. A rapid etching rate in the bottom part of the PS pillar during the RIE process can produce various nanostructure shapes and the PS residual layer thickness can influence various feature dimensions, due to the controlled RIE time leading to different PS layer thicknesses. This technique provides a highly effective method for producing various complex 3D patterns from a single master pattern. Thus, this method can serve as a new procedure for the cost-effective mass production of complex nanoscale patterns with high resolution.</P>

( Jong Yeon Hwang ),( Sunhwa Park ),( Moon-su Kim ),( Hun-je Jo ),( Gyong-mi Lee ),( Sang Ho Jeon ),( Da Hee Song ),( Deok-hyun Kim ),( Tae-seung Kim ),( Hyen Mi Chung ),( Hyun-koo Kim ) 한국환경분석학회 2017 환경분석과 독성보건 Vol.20 No.2
In this study, we focused on the evaluation, comparison of the physiochemical characteristics, and distribution of cations and anions in groundwater sampled in rural areas of Korea. The on-site measurements of pH, EC, DO, and ORP (average, minimum, and maximum) respectively ranged as follows: 5.7~8.7, 49~1,224 μS/cm, 0.5~11.8 mg/L, and -53.0~697 mV. The assessments of water quality for agricultural usages were evaluated using SAR, sodium (%), RSC, PI, SSP, MH, PS, and Kelly`s ratio (KR) and were classified as SAR [Excellent (100%)], Sodium [Excellent (2.1%), Good (51.1%), Permissible (39.3%), Doubtful (6.2%), Unsuitable (0.7%)], RSC [Good (100%)], PI [Excellent (100%)], SSP [Excellent (0.7%), Good (37.2%), Fair (61.4%), Poor (0.7%)], MH [Acceptable (96.6%), Non-Acceptable (3.4%)], KR [Permissible (69.7%), (Non-Permissible (30.3%)], and PS [Excellent to Good (100%)]. In addition, classifications of groundwater based on the Piper diagram showed that the groundwater was grouped into the Ca2+-(Cl--NO3-) and Ca2+-HCO3- types, which are general features of groundwater in Korea. Moreover, the tracking of dominance types (classified as evaporation, rock, and precipitation) based on the Gibbs diagram showed that the origins of anions and cations in the groundwater are of rock dominance.
