A series of 28 diarylsulfonylureas with antitumor activity was subjected to a three-dimensional quantitative relationship was subjected to a three-dimensional quantitative relationship(SD-QSAR) study. Three different QSAR methods, comparative molecular filed analysis(CoMFA), holograx(HQSAR) and comparative molecular similarity indices analysis(CoMSIA), were compared in terms of their pote predictability. All three QSAR-based models had good predictability and yielded q^2 values 0.74, 0.63 and 0.72 repective CoMFA model provided the highest q^2 and r^2 values, which implied the significance of correlation of steric and electrosta with biological activities. The number of components was 3_4 for all three QSAR methods. The quality of HASAR or was slightly lower than that of CoNFA in terms of q^2 and r^2 values. HQSAR does not require the generation of a three-din structure of molecules and CoMSIA does not require molecular superposition, therefore they are faster than CoMFA processing.

Korean agriculture is currently in a crisis. Because of the problems such as COVID-19, climate change on the Korean Peninsula, declining farm population, and aging people in rural areas, it makes the future of Korean agriculture hopeless. Many studies are being conducted to solve the problem of Korean agriculture, and smart farms based on automation systems are attracting attention as an alternative. If such a control system fails, the entire system becomes inoperable, causing serious problems. This paper implements fault tolerance control systems that enable normal system operation even if such a control system failure occurs. This paper designs a system by selecting a redundancy method with excellent resource efficiency.

Background: Ultrasound-guided acupuncture has gained significance in diverse medical applications, particularly in enhancing the accuracy and safety of procedures. This tech- nique has shown promising results in clinical effectiveness and safety compared to tradi- tional methods. Methods: We conducted a comprehensive review of studies involving ultrasound-guided acupuncture, analyzing its accuracy and clinical impact. We explored various conditions, such as musculoskeletal pain syndromes, trigger finger, knee osteoarthritis, and more, to compare the efficacy of ultrasound-guided acupuncture against conventional techniques. Results: Ultrasound-guided acupuncture demonstrated enhanced accuracy in targeting specific anatomical structures, thereby improving the precision and effectiveness of the treatment. Studies highlighted its superiority in reducing complications and recurrence rates, particularly in conditions like trigger finger and knee osteoarthritis. Conclusion: The development and application of ultrasound technology in guiding acu- puncture procedures offer a safer and more effective approach to clinical practice. As ultrasound technology continues to advance, its integration with acupuncture can further refine and standardize protocols, potentially influencing future research and establishing standardized guidelines for practice.

Novel 1,3-dioxolanyl-, 1,3-oxathiolanyl- and 1,3-dithiolanylnucleosides with 2-hydroxymethyl substituents (1a-4b) were each synthesized with good yields through the condensation of dinucleophiles (oxygen and/or sulfur) with 1,3-dibenzoxy-2-propanone methyl ketal as a key step.

BACKGROUNDS Since the number of drug advertisements is increasing due to the expansion of advertising markets and the emergence of a new type of advertisement, it is important to review drug advertisements accurately and efficiently. OBJECTIVE We aim to gather and analyze the expert’s opinions regarding the criteria and procedures of drug advertisement review. METHODS Survey questionnaire was sent to 42 members of the drug advertisement review committee. The questionnaire included the key principle of drug advertisement review, the importance of prohibition by type of advertisement, the necessity of permitting by type of advertisement, and questions about current procedures of drug advertisement review. RESULTS In total, 23 of 42 members participated (54.7% response rate). Survey results showed that the ‘Proper expression of efficacy and effectiveness’ and ‘Fair competition among drugs’ were important principles. Prohibition of ‘False advertisements’ and ‘Advertisements that distort facts’ were considered important. The degree of agreement in the need for permission was relatively low, but it was considered relatively necessary to allow ‘Advertisements that present drugs which have been recognized for safe use, such as vitamins.’ All respondents agreed that the number of drug advertisement reviews was high. Approximately 70% of respondents answered that current review fees are not adequate. CONCLUSION This study shows the degree of consensus of experts and provides evidence for further amendment on criteria and procedures of drug advertisement review.
