        By impproving the educational program of the Department of Architectural Engineering and studying the theory of learning and the applied method necessary for the development of nation and society, we should develop a satisfying course of education to meet the demand and skill in the industralized society for the purpose of cultivating men of baility with great personalities and creative minds. Therefore, this study focused on classifying several kinds of occupations in the prart of architectured related to what graduates from the department of Architectural Engineering go with into the society. Accordingly after choosing some works adequate to each occupation by the proposed curricula, we tried to establish the scope of education and courses corresponding to the jobs and thus and develop a satisfying curriculum.

      • 연속 회분법에 의한 하수의 유기물제거

        This study has been carried out to evaluate the ability of sequential batch reactor process for the removal of organic substrate in wastewater. The results of this study are summerized as following: 1. The substrate removal efficiencies as the filling period were 30∼80% for both mode A and B, and the total removal efficiencies were around 90% for both mode A and B. 2. The substrate removal rates of filling periods were 0.42-0.90㎎/1/day and 0.11-0.45㎎/1/day for mode A and B respectively. For mode A the removal rates at the reaction periods were 0.764-0.865day^(-1). For operation mode B, it was found that the maximum removal rate was occurred when the experimental ratio of filling to reaction was 2/4. 3. Because the wastewater was at anoxic condition, the concentration gradient occurred with respect to time in batch reactor. So the sludge bulking due to excess growth of filamentous organisms was not observed.

      • 淨化槽SLUDGE의 堆肥化

        This study was performed for composting of septic tank sludge by batch type enclosed composter. The conditions of each element were the mixed rate 0.5:1∼4:1 of septic tank sludge rice-polishing, initial Moisture Content rate of 50 to 70%, C/N ratio of 8 to 43, and 0.25∼1.51/min·㎏ per volatile solids of Air Quantity. The results of this experiment are as follows: (1) The condition of the most successful composting was mixed rate 2.1 of septic tank sludge and rice-polishings in each sample. (2) The range of the optimum moisture content was 60∼65% simultaneously, mixed rate was 2:1-3:1 the temperature of compost pile for hygienic stabilization was sustained for minimum seven days. (3) The range of optimum C/N ratio 30∼35 showed the fastest and most successful composting . (4) 0.25 l/min-㎏ VS Air Quantity was the optimum of composting. (5) In a day or two, the maximum temperature of 48∼54℃ showed that after inputing composter under the adequate condition of each element: Moisture Content, Air Quantity, pH, C/N ratio etc. The maximum CO₂ production quantity with temperature variation was 8∼11% at 44∼50℃.

      • 海産物 洗滌廢水의 嫌氣性處理

        At this study, using the competition for substrate between sulfated reduction bacteria(SRB) and methane producing bacteria (MPB), the washing wastewater of marine products was treated by anaerobic digestion. The main results of this experimental study are as follows : 1) When SRB and MPB competed each other for substrate, the shorter the hydraulic retention time (HRT), the more dominate species the SRB were. 2) The limit HRT for SRB was near 1day, and that for MPB was near 2 days, for MPB was near 2 days. 3) When the limit concentration of sulfide in the digester was about 180㎎/l, that concentration was toxic influenced to the microbial. 4) The limit of the sulfate loading rate for MPB and SRB was 1.24 kgSO^(2-)₄/㎥·d. 5) The degree of Contribution to COD removal was more COD removal by SRB than that by MPB.

      • 소규모 축산폐수 처리를 위한 RBC/AFBR 공정의 Package화

        Using rotating biological contactor(RBC) with artificial endofleneus stage and aerobic fixed biofilm reactor(AFBR), organic material removal and biological nitrification of piggery wastewater has been studied at a pilot plant RBC was operated in the endogenous phase at a interval of every 25 days, The concentration of COD, BOO and TKN in influent wastewater were from 2,940 to 3,800 ㎎/L, from 1,190 to 1,850 ㎎/L and from 486 to 754 ㎎/L respectively, The maximum active biomass content represented as VSS per unit aera was 2.0㎎/㎠ and biofilm dry density of 17 ㎎/㎤ was observed at biofilm thickness of 900 ㎛. It was observed that the pilot scale RBC/AFBR process exhibited 72 percentage to 93 percentage of BOD removal, In order to obtain more than 90 percentage of BOD removal, the organic loading rate to the RBC/AFBR Process should be maintained less than 0,09 ㎥/㎡. day(125,9 gBOD/㎥.d), The TKN removal efficiencies was from 455 to 90,9 Percentage according to vary influent loading rate, It was estimated that the RBC/AFER Process consumed approximately 6,2 ㎎/L(as CaCO_(3) ) of alkalinity per 1 ㎎/L a of N_(3)-N oxidized as the nitrification took piace.

        전치부 개교합을 가진 골격성 제 Ⅲ급 부정교합 환자에 있어서 하악지 시상분할 골절단술후 술후 안정성에 관한 평가

        The purpose of this study is to assess the postoperative stability and the tendency of relapse after both sagittal split ramus osteotomy in skeletal class III with anterior open bite. This retrospective study was based on the examination of 15 patients, 6 males and 9 females, with a mean age 23.1 years. The patients were divided into two groups based on the amount of preoperative overbite(group I:<1mm, group II:≥1mm). Serial lateral cephalometric radiographs were taken within 2 weeks preoperatively, within 1 week postoperatively and at a follow up period that ranged from 7 to 24 months postoperatively. All cephalometric radiographs were traced and digitized using the Quick ceph image Pro for analysis. And then, horizontal and vertical changes of reference points(B point, Pogonion, L1) were assessed by the linear measurements in millimeters on both axes. The results were as follows : 1 Mean horizontal relapses were 0.67±0.93mm (11%) at B point (P<.05) and 0.81±1.01mm (13.2 %) at Pogonion (P<.01). 2, Mean vertical relapses were 0.63±1.62mm (33.3%) at B point and 0.53±1.95mm (31.4%) at Pogonion (P>.05) 3. The mean angular change of occlusal plane to SN was 0.24±1.19 (P>.05) and that of mandibular plane to SN was 1.03±1.85 (P<.05). 4. There was correlation between the extent of preoperative overbite and the postsurgical relapse at B point and Pogonion. 5. There was no correlation between the amount of surgically produced horizontal movement and the postoperative horizontal relapse at B point.

        임프란트 식립을 위한 상악동 거상술의 임상적 연구

        A variety of materials and procedures such as sinus floor elevation, sinus-lift graft, inlay bone graft using Le Fort I osteotomy, and onlay graft have been used to create adequate bone volume in the maxillary sinus for placement of endosseous implants in the posterior atrophic maxilla. Because of the frequent lack of bone in the posterior maxilla, sinus lift procedure has become a commonly practiced treatment modality. The 138 endosseous implants of 36 patients with sinus augmentation procedures performed in Korea University Hospital from January 1991 to December 1998 were summarized and analysed. The result of this study were as follows : 1. Age ranged from 39 to 57, with a mean of 50.7. 2. The mean survival rate for 138 implants with maxillary sinus lift procedure was 80.4%. 3. There was no corelationship between the fixture length, width and the survival rate. 4. The result showed that the healing period for 8-12 months was necessary if the residual alveolar bone height was less than 5mm. 5. Autogenous iliac corticocancellous block graft showed the most favorable survival rate(95%).

        구개결 언어에 대한 Screening test와 설문조사의 비교분석

        Purpose : This study was carried out to evaluate the abnormalites of the speeches of the cleft patients and compare the results of the speech evaluations of a speech pathologist with those of parents. Materials and Methods: Eleven cleft patients' parents were questioned about their children's speech and then the speeches of the cleft patients were evaluated by a speech pathologist and their results were compared with those of parents. Results : Nasal emission was noted in twenty percent of patients, with thirty percent demonstrating hypernasality and all demonstrating no hyponasality and aspirate. And twenty percent of patients show hoarseness. There was no statistically significant difference in the sensitivities to nasal emission between the speech pathologist and parents (p>0.05). However the speech pathologist is more sensitive to hypernasality than parents(p<0.05).

      • 돈사폐수 처리를 위한 AFBG/ANHBR 공정의 Package화

        This study was performed for package of piggery wastewater treatment system, inquired into component of organic matter and biodegradable characteristics in piggery wastewater and extracted removal efficiencies and operating conditions of aerobic fixed biofilm reactor/anoxic fixed biofilm re-actor(AFBR/ANFBR) process with Sun Lock (S/L.™) media, The component characteistics of or-ganic matter in piggery wastewater include 60 percentage of readily biodegradable COD, 25 percent-age of non-biodegradable COD and producted inert material by metabolism of m icroorganisms. In order to reduced sludge production rate and aggravation of water quality, endogenous respiration phase was accepted at first AFBR reactor. As a results of this operating condition, sludge production was minimized and removal efficiency was maintained stability. In order to obtain more than 90 percentage of BOD removal in AFBR/AHFBR process, the sur-face loading rate and volumetric loading rate to the AFBR should be maintained less than 17g BOD/㎡· day and 1.7 kg BOD/㎡· day respectively. Under this condition, BOD removal efficiencies of first AFBR, ANFBR and last AFBR exhibited above 80 percentage, 17 percentage and 40 per-centage, respectively. The removal efficiency of TKN and NHf-h at the loading rates below 5.60 gNH,-N/㎡ · day and 0.56 kg NH_(3)-N/㎥ ·day f·ere above 76 percentage and 82 percentage,respectively.

        This researching group of four members of us organized this test plan on the ground of following standpoints: 1. Science education should be designed for the general outline of natural science to be taught till the period of compulsory education is expired. 2. Natural science consists of two elements; one is the scientific method as a way of understanding nature and the other is the system of concept which is got as the result. 3. Science education should be designed, after increasing the belief in sciecne, for the effects of learning to be transformed into the sources of the judgements and behaviours. In this test plan, we definitely represented the above three standpoints as followings: 1. These system of concept of natural science can be condensed into several basic general concepts. These basic concepts become the essence of curriculum plan. Field of Non-living Matters Field of Living Thing 1. Matter 1. Feed 2. Force and Motion 2. Growth 3. Energy 3. Reproduction 4. Time and Space 4. Interaction to Environments 2. The general conepts are incessantly extended and deepened through the process while the scientific methods are applied. The scientific methods which are applied here are these: 1) Observation 2) Classification 3) Experiment 4) Modeling 3. The contents of the thextbook were chosen all over the fields of the natural science but the various contents should be taught wholly and connectively all over the nature. We settled the syllabus between the first grade and the sixth of elementary school on the ground of the above-mentioned basic standpoints and principles.(Refer attached table.) When this test plan is organized successfully, a desirable character who can flexibly adapt to the rapidly changing society and has extentive possibilities will be expected through science education.
