        DNA 분석을 통한 한우 , 연변황우 및 화우의 유전적 특성

        This study was conducted to identify the genetic parameters and genetic relationships among 3 cattle breeds of Hanwoo (Korea), Yanbian yellow cattle (China), and Wagyu (Japan). DNA fingerprinting was prepared using M13 probe and Pst 1 enzyme. Genetic homogencities of Hanwoo and Yanbian yellow cattle were comparatively lower than that of Wagyu, suggesting genetic improvement by active breeding program for Wagyu compared to Hanwoo and Yanbian yellow cattle and possibility of improvement capacity for Hanwoo and Yanbian yellow cattle. Genetic similarities between breeds were not significantly different among them, suggesting that these 3 breeds have been raised independently without any inflow or outflow of gene source for a while.

        Enhanced energy storage properties in PbZrO3 thin films via the incorporation of NiO

        In this study, NiO–PbZrO3 composite films were deposited on SiO2/Si substrates buffered with LaNiO3 films via the sol-gel coating technique. The effects of NiO addition in PZO thin films on the microstructure, dielectric properties, leakage mechanism, ferroelectric properties and energy storage properties have been discussed. The dielectric constant increased with the addition of NiO, while the leakage current density decreased. Compared with pure PZO films, the maximum polarization of the composite films was improved. For the composite films prepared using the NiO precursor solution with 0.05 mol/L, the recoverable energy storage density of the NiO-PZO composite film is up to 19.6 J/cm3 under the electric field of 1038 kV/cm, which is 30% higher than that of the pure PZO film under the same conditions. Also, the energy storage efficiency of the composite film reaches 48%. Accordingly, we demonstrate a simple and convenient method by adding NiO to fabricate thin films with high energy storage performance.

        Feasibility study of dual-targeting paclitaxel-loaded magnetic liposomes using electromagnetic actuation and macrophages

        This work aims to develop a novel electromagnetic and macrophage-mediated drug delivery system to transport anticancer drug (Paclitaxel, PTX)-encapsulated magnetic liposomes (PTX-MLPs) to tumors. The PTX-MLPs are engulfed into macrophages by phagocytosis of murine macrophages (J774A1). Therefore, the macrophages with PTX-MLPs can be dually targeted both by an external electromagnetic field and by chemotaxis of the macrophages to the tumors. Under the electromagnetic field, a single macrophage with PTX-MLPs can be controlled following predefined paths and can reach an average velocity of 10.48+/-4.43μm/s. Meanwhile, using chemotaxis, the macrophages with PTX-MLPs can infiltrate through a 5μm pore membrane to chemo-attractants in transwell migration assays, with infiltration rate of up to 73.70+/-4.63%. In addition, their therapeutic efficacy is investigated using an in-vitro cytotoxicity assay on breast cancer (4T1) and colorectal cancer (CT26) models. The results confirm that the macrophages with PTX-MLPs can carry a sufficient amount of drug to kill the cancer cells with the IC<SUB>50</SUB> values for the 4T1 and CT26 cells of 52.97+/-1.06μg/mL and 117.04+/-1.82μg/mL, respectively. The outcomes of this study suggest that a potential active cancer therapy can be developed through the dual targeting system using macrophages with PTX-MLPs and magnetic actuation.

        Comparative Efficacy of Plant and Animal Protein Sources on the Growth Performance, Nutrient Digestibility, Morphology and Caecal Microbiology of Early-weaned Pigs

        The present study was conducted to evaluate and compare the effects of various animal and plant protein sources on piglet' performance, digestibility of amino acids and gut morphology in weaned pigs until 28 days after weaning. The plant protein sources used were soybean meal (SBM), fermented soy protein (FSP), rice protein concentrate (RPC); and animal protein sources tested were, whey protein concentrate (WPC) and fishmeal (FM). Iso-proteinous (21%) diets were formulated and lysine (1.55%) content was similar in all the diets. The level of each protein source added was 6% by replacing SBM to the same extent from the control diet containing 15% SBM. The ADG was higher (p<0.05) in the groups fed animal proteins as compared with plant proteins at all the levels of measurement, except during 15-28 days. The highest ADG was noted in WPC and FM fed diets and lowest in SBM fed diet. The feed intake was higher in animal protein fed groups than plant proteins at all phases, but the feed:gain ratio was not affected by protein sources except during overall (0 to 14 day) measurement which was improved (p<0.05) in animal protein fed diets compared to plant protein sources. The digestibilities of gross energy, dry matter and crude protein were higher in animal protein fed groups than for plant protein fed sources. The apparent ileal digestibilities of essential amino acids like Leu, Thr, and Met were significantly (p<0.05) higher in animal proteins fed animals as compared with plant protein fed animals. But the apparent fecal digestibilities of essential amino acids like Arg and Ile were significantly higher (p<0.05) in plant protein diets than animal protein sources. The villous structure studied by scanning electron microscope were prominent, straight finger-like, although shortened and densely located in FM fed group as compared with others. The lactic acid bacteria and C. perfringens counts were higher in caecal contents of pigs fed plant proteins than the animal proteins. Overall, it could be concluded that animal protein sources in the present study showed better effects on growth performance, nutrient digestibility and gut morphology than plant protein sources.

        A novel process for silicon on insulator(SOI) technology has been presented. Single crystal Si is grown by molecular beam epitaxy(MBF) on a porous silicon(PS) system consisting of two layers of PS with different microstructures. Subsequent lateral oxidation converts the structure to SOI wish excellent insulation property. Si islands with a width of 135㎛ and low doping concentration have been achieved.

        INTEGRATED CONTROL SYSTEM DESIGN OF ACTIVE FRONT WHEEL STEERING AND FOUR WHEEL TORQUE TO IMPROVE VEHICLE HANDLING AND STABILITY

        This study proposes a two-layer hierarchical control system that integrates active front wheel steering and four wheel braking torque control to improve vehicle handling performance and stability. The first layer is a robust model matching controller (R-MMC) based on linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which optimizes an active front steering angle compensation and a desired yaw moment control, and calculates reference wheel slip for the target wheel according to the desired yaw moment. The second layer is a moving sliding mode controller (MSMC) that can track the reference wheel slip in a predetermined time by commanding proper braking torque on the target wheel to achieve the desired yaw moment. Since vehicle sideslip angle measurement is difficult to achieve in practice, a sliding mode observer (SMO) that requires only vehicle yaw rate as the measured input is also developed in this study. The performance and robustness of the SMO and the integrated control system are demonstrated through comprehensive computer simulations. Simulation results reveal the satisfactory tracking ability of the SMO, and the superior improved vehicle handling performance, stability and robustness of the integrated control vehicle.

        Transcatheter Arterial Embolization for Gastrointestinal Bleeding Secondary to Gastrointestinal Lymphoma

        <P>To evaluate the effectiveness of transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) for gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding caused by GI lymphoma. The medical records of 11 patients who underwent TAE for GI bleeding caused by GI lymphoma between 2001 and 2015 were reviewed retrospectively. A total of 20 TAE procedures were performed. On angiography, contrast extravasation, and both contrast extravasation and tumor staining were seen in 95 % (19/20) and 5 % (1/20) of the procedures, respectively. The most frequently embolized arteries were jejunal (n = 13) and ileal (n = 5) branches. Technical and clinical success rates were 100 % (20/20) and 27 % (3/11), respectively. The causes of clinical failure in eight patients were rebleeding at new sites. In four patients who underwent repeat angiography, the bleeding focus was new each time. Three patients underwent small bowel resection due to rebleeding after one (n = 2) or four (n = 1) times of TAEs. Another two patients underwent small bowel resection due to small bowel ischemia/perforation after three or four times of TAEs. The 30-day mortality rate was 18 % due to hypovolemic shock (n = 1) and multiorgan failure (n = 1). Angiogram with TAE shows limited therapeutic efficacy to manage GI lymphoma-related bleeding due to high rebleeding at new sites. Although TAE can be an initial hemostatic measure, surgery should be considered for rebleeding due to possible bowel ischemic complication after repeated TAE procedures.</P>

        Reflective metamaterial polarization converter in a broad frequency range

        We propose a broadband reflective metamaterial polarization converter which is composed of arrays of split-ring resonators (SRRs), a dielectric layer and a continuous metallic layer. For the case of a loss-free dielectric layer, the average transformation rate is around 90% at frequencies from 6.68 to 10.91 GHz, and the bandwidth is 56.66% of the central wavelength. The increased loss tangent of the dielectric layer is shown to induce a reduced transformation rate due to enhanced absorption.
