<P>Interplay between adjacent dipoles is an experimental priori for designing artificially-engineered structure because the dipole coupling is one critical factor for determining the electromagnetic response in metamaterials. Although numerous investigations have been performed to study the coupling effect of the split-ring resonator (SRR), the interlayer dipole coupling of its complementary SRR, called C-SRR, has been largely unexplored. Here, we present experimental and theoretical investigations on the electromagnetic coupling effect in the two stacks of layered C-SRR structures. By adjusting the relative lateral distance between the two-dimensionally stacked meta-structures, we observe that the confined magnetic dipole plays an important role in determining the resonance frequency and the bandwidth broadening of the C-SRR, exhibiting an exactly opposite behavior to the SRR structure. Our investigation provides experimental basis for developing frequency tunable three-dimensional metamaterial devices.</P>

대학생이 인식하는 성인지 감수성 실태 분석 : K대학 사례를 중심으로

본 연구는 성인지 감수성에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있는 현대사회에서 K 대학교의 대학생들이 성인지 감수성에 대하여 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 실태를 조사하는 데 목적이 있다. 성인지 감수성은 특정한 성별에서 불평등이 생기지 않게 남성과 여성에게 미치는 영향의 인식 및 반영하는 능력을 증진시키고, 남녀 모두가 가진 개성을 발휘할 수 있도록 기회를 제공한다. 본 연구는 K 대학교의 3개 캠퍼스 7개 단과대학 재학생 1,956명을 대상으로 성인지 감수성 조사를 하였다. 그 결과 K 대학교 재학생의 성인지 감수성은 성별, 성적, 단과대학에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났지만, 학년, 군필 여부(남자), 이성 친구 유무, 성폭력 관련 강의수강 경험 여부, 성인지 감수성 관련 강의 수강 여부에서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 연구자는 이 결과를 바탕으로 연구자가 재직하고 있는 상담센터에서 K 대학교 재학생을 대상으로 성인지 감수성 교육을 위한 교육내용을 개발하고자 한다. This study aims to verify how K University students recognize gender sensitivity in today’s society where the interest in it is growing. Gender sensitivity enhances the ability to recognize and reflect the effect on men and women, and provides an opportunity to exert their own individuality while preventing inequality in a certain gender. This study conducted a survey of gender sensitivity targeting 1,956 students of 7 colleges in 3 campuses of K University. The survey result of gender sensitivity of K University students showed statistically significant differences in sex, score, college and major. By the way, there were no statistically significant differences in grade, completion of military service, opposite sex friend, and experience of classes regarding sexual violence and gender sensitivity. Therefore, I want to develop education contents for gender sensitivity for K University students in our Student Counseling Center based on this study results.

<P>The Coanda effect is a natural phenomenon, which is that flowing fluid on a certain surface is pulled to the surface due to the viscosity of the fluid. This phenomenon can be utilized to produce the lift force of a flying object. This paper presents a new type of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) lifted by the Coanda effect, called SCoanda. We introduce the empirical study of its design and implementations. The principle of the Coanda effect is briefly explained in the first section. The design optimization and control of the UAV, and implementation issues are explained. The structural design of SCoanda is devised to use the maximum lift force produced by the Coanda effect. Since there are a plenty of cases about the shape of SCoanda, it has been limited to oval. It is investigated through computational fluid dynamics. As the result, an optimized design is determined among several candidates and appropriate structural materials are selected via tests. Also, dynamic modeling is suggested under several conditions of SCoanda before simulations are conducted to build up a controller and determine gains according to the dynamic modeling. Finally, the UAV is manufactured and its performances are successfully demonstrated in the indoor and the outdoor environments.</P>
