A lot of electric vehicles have usually adopted the ASF(Aluminum Space Frame) type rather than the monocoque<br/> or unitary construction type since the first is easier to reduce mass efficiently with the required stiffness and strength.<br/> Through the structural analysis, LSV(Low Speed Vehicle) performances such as stiffness and strength are evaluated.<br/> Based on the structural analysis, the optimization formulation of the ASF is set to decrease mass with satisfying<br/> stress and stiffness constraints. While it is assumed that sectional shapes of the members in ASF are fixed, the<br/> optimum thickness of members is determined. Through the optimization, the members that play important roles in<br/> the static stiffness improvement are found. Finally, the performances of the initial design and the optimum design are<br/> compared. The structural analysis and optimization are performed using the commercial software, FEMB/GENESIS<br/> Ver.7.0.

This study was conducted to examine the effect of social enterprise product attributes on empathy, value consistency and repurchase intention. To this end, product attributes were divided into intrinsic and external attribute factors, and empathy was divided into cognitive and emotional factors to examine the impact relationships. Based on the preceding prior studies discussed to achieve this study, the study looked at how inherent and external attributes affect cognitive and emotional empathy. We also identified the impact of product attributes (intrinsic and external) and empathy (cognitive and emotional) on the consistency of values. Finally, we looked at the impact of value matching on repurchase intention. This study looked at the value consistency and impact on repurchase intention based on the nature of social enterprise products. First, the characteristics of products produced by social enterprises were identified, second, the degree of empathy for the social enterprise production products, and third, the value consistency of the social enterprise production products, and fourth. The results of this study are as follows.

The Small female driver is much more vulnerable during the airbag deployment since they tend to sit on the fore side of seat while driving. In order to evaluate the aggressivity of airbag deployment on small female, so called "Out of Position" problem, it is very often to employ the Hybrid Ⅲ 5% dummy. The lack of biofidelity of Hybrid Ⅲ 5% dummy, however reveals the limits to the understanding of OOP related injury mechanism. Accordingly, a finite element model for small female(5%) has been proposed in this study. As a first step, multi-body rigid model, FARB(Female Articulated Rigid Body) has been developed and validated. Some parametric OOP simulation results will be also presented.

Background: Prostate cancer is rapidly increasing in Korea and professional societies have requested adding prostate specific antigen (PSA) testing to the National Cancer Screening Program (NCSP), but this started a controversy in Korea and neutral evidence on this issue is required more than ever. The purpose of this study was to provide economic evidence to the decision makers of the NCSP. Materials and Methods: A cost-utility analysis was performed on the adoption of PSA screening program among men aged 50-74-years in Korea from the healthcare system perspective. Several data sources were used for the cost-utility analysis, including general health screening data, the Korea Central Cancer Registry, national insurance claims data, and cause of mortality from the National Statistical Office. To solicit the utility index of prostate cancer, a face-to-face interview for typical men aged 40 to 69 was conducted using a Time-Trade Off method. Results: As a result, the increase of effectiveness was estimated to be very low, when adopting PSA screening, and the incremental cost effectiveness ratio (ICER) was analyzed as about 94 million KRW. Sensitivity analyses were performed on the incidence rate, screening rate, cancer stage distribution, utility index, and treatment costs but the results were consistent with the base analysis. Conclusions: Under Korean circumstances with a relatively low incidence rate of prostate cancer, PSA screening is not cost-effective. Therefore, we conclude that adopting national prostate cancer screening would not be beneficial until further evidence is provided in the future.
