      • 영광원자력발전소 주변의 식생과 식물현존량 추정

        영광원자력발전소 주변의 식생에 대한 식물사회학적 조사를 실시하였으며, 순 1차 생산량과 식물현존량을 추정하였다. 또한 상관에 의해 현존식생도 및 녹지자연도를 작성하였다(1:50,000). Z-M 방식에 의한 삼림식생은 소나무군락과 곰솔군락으로 구분되었다. 전체적으로 교목층에 소나무와 곰솔, 아교목층에 졸참나무와 곰솔, 관목층에 털진달래와 신갈나무, 초본층에 털대사초와 그늘사초 등의 피복지수가 우세하게 나타났다. 토양의 pH는 4.65∼4.67, 유기물 함량은 7.28∼7.53%의 범위였다. 현존식생도에 의한 분포비율은 경작지(67%), 소나무(21.9%) 및 곰솔군락(9.1%)의 순으로 나타났으며, 녹지자연도는 등급 2가 67%(경작지), 7등급(이차림(A))과 6등급(조림지)이 각각 29.2%와 1.8%로 나타났다. Montreal model에의한 소나무림과 곰솔림의 식물현존량은 657,817.2와 177,367.0ton으로 각각 산정되었다. The forest vegetation and estimation of phytomass and net primary production in the vicinity of Yonggwang Atomic Power Plant were analyzed on the basis of the phytosociological data. Depending on physiognomy, the actual vegetation map and the degree of green naturality(DGN) were also drawn in the scale of 1:50,000. According to Z-M method, the forest vegetation was classified into two communities; Pinus densiflora and Pinus thunbergii communities. It was generally shown that Pinus densiflora and Pirus thunbergii in tree-1 layer, Quercus serrata and Pinus thunbergii in tree-2 layer, Rhododendron mucronulatum var. ciliatum and Quercus serrata in shrub layer, and Carex ciliato-marginata and Carex lanceolata in herb layer had high coverage index. The pHs and contents of organic matter of the forest soils collected in each sites were in the 4.64 to 4.67 and 7.28% to 7.53% in average, respectively. The distribution area of each vegetationindex. The distribution of the degree of green naturality(DGN) was 67% in the second-grade (cultivated land), 29.2% in 7th grade (second forest(A)) and 1.8% in 6th grade (plantation). It was estimated that phytomass of Pinus densiflora and Pinus thunbergii in the study sites, which was calculated by Montreal model, was 657,817.2 and 177,367.0 ton, respectively.

        Introduction: Eosinophilic cholangitis (EC) is a rare benign disorder of the biliary tract. This disorder must be distinguished from Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) which can be diffi cult since it is characterized by a dense transmural eosinophilic infi ltration of the bile duct. The biliary tree is one of the most frequently affected extrapancreatic organs in autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP), and the term “IgG4-related cholangitis” was recently introduced to refer to the biliary manifestation of IgG4-related systemic disease. In this paper, we discuss an 80-year-old man with EC who was initially diagnosed by hilar CCA or AIP. Case Report: A 80-year-old man presented with epigastric discomfort and nausea. There was no history of foreign travel or signifi cant allergic reactions or medications. Laboratory studies revealed an increased eosinophil count (white blood cell count of 8. 4×103/mm3, with 14. 1% eosinophils). Amylase, lipase and Alkaline phosphatase levels were 208U/L, 21U/L and 114U/L. IgE level was 979. 4 IU/mL. Serum IgG level was elevated to 2260 mg/dL, but serum IgG4 was 369. 3 mg/L. Serology test for parasites were negative. Stool specimens showed no ova or cyst. A computed tomography suggested hilar CCA. A magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) revealed multifocal irregular stricture in both intrahepatic ducts, common bile duct (CBD) and pancreatic duct (figure 1). Biopsy at papilla and distal CBD revealed no malignant. Biopsies at stomach and duodenum are consistent with Eosinophilic gastroenteritis (figure 2). Bile cytology shows numerous eosinophils and neutrophils. Oral prednisolone and ursodeoxycholic acid were administered. Thereafter, patient`s symptoms were relieved and abnormal laboratory studies were all normalized and MRCP fi ndings showed improvement of irregular stricture. Conclusion: Although the diagnosis of EC is a diffi cult one, biliary stricture is presented with peripheral eosinophilia, EC should be taken into consideration in the differential diagnosis.

        말초조직염증이 흰쥐 척수 및 등쪽뿌리신경절의 brain-derived neurotrophic factor 및 trkB에 미치는 영향

        최근 본 연구자들은 실험동물의 말초조직에 염증을 유발시켰을 때 등쪽뿌리신경절(DRG)에서 brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) mRNA가 증가하였고 이것은 신경성장인자를 매개로 일어난다고 보고하였다. 이때, 말초조직염증은 DRG 및 척수에서 BDNF를 증가시키며 또한 이 부위에서 trkB mRNA의 발현에 변화를 가져올 것으로 기대되어 본 연구에서는 Freund’s adjuvant를 흰쥐의 한쪽 뒷발바닥에 주사하여 염증을 유발시킨 후 DRG 및 척수에서의 BDNF 면역반응성의 변화를 면역조직화학기법으로, trkB mRNA의 양적변화를 RT-PCR법으로, 또한 in situ hybridization 기법을 이용하여 BDNF mRNA와 preprotachykinin (PPT) mRNA, calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) mRNA 혹은 trkB mRNA와의 공존여부를 연구하여 다음의 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 1. 말초조직염증을 유발시켰을 때 주사 후 1 및 3일째에 DRG에서 BDNF 면역반응 신경세포의 수가 유의하게 증가하였고 7일 후에는 정상치로 회복되었다. 척수의 경우 등쪽뿔의 층판 I, II, IV 및 V에서 주사 후 1 및 3일째에 BDNF 면역반응 축삭종말의 수가 유의하게 증가하였으며 7일 후에는 정상치로 회복되었다. 2. 말초조직염증을 유발시킨 후 DRG에서는 3일째에 truncated trkB (trkB.T) mRNA의 증가를 볼 수 있었으며 full-length trkB (trkB.FL) mRNA의 변화는 관찰되지 않았다. 척수의 경우 trkB.T mRNA 및 trkB.FL mRNA의 변화는 없었다. 3. DRG에서는 많은 BDNF mRNA 함유신경세포들이 말초조직염증 유발 후 PPT mRNA 혹은 CGRP mRNA를 공유하였다. 4. DRG의 BDNF mRNA 함유신경세포는 trkB mRNA를 거의 공유하지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보았을 때 BDNF는 말초조직염증에 의한 동통의 전달에 중요한 역할을 할 뿐만 아니라 DRG에서는 측분비기능 (paracrine function)도 가지는 것으로 사료되었다. Recent study showed that peripheral inflammation induced an increased expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) mRNA which was mediated by nerve growth factor in the dorsal root ganglion (DRG). Therefore, it is conceivable that peripheral inflammation may induce an increase in BDNF synthesis in DRG and consequently enhance the level of BDNF in the spinal cord and that gene expression of trkB mRNA may be altered. In the present study, we evaluated changes in BDNF-immunoreactivity and trkB mRNA in the DRG and spinal cord by means of immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR, respectively, following peripheral tissue inflammation produced by intraplantar injection of Freund’s adjuvant into rat paws. In addition, coexistence of BDNF and preprotachykinin (PTT) mRNAs, BDNF and CGRP mRNAs or BDNF and trkB mRNAs in the DRG following inflammation was observed by means of in situ hybridization. The results obtained were as follows; 1. Inflammation induced a significant increase of the number of BDNF-immunoreactive (IR) neurons in the ipsilateral DRGs. The increase was observed 1 and 3 days after injection of adjuvant, and the levels had returned to normal by 7 days. In the spinal cord, inflammation also induced an elevation in the expression of BDNF-IR terminals in the medial superficial layers of the ipsilateral dorsal horn and in lamina V 1 and 3 days after injection. 2. There was significant increase of truncated trkB (t-trkB) mRNA in the ipsilateral DRG 3 days following inflammation. Changes in the expression of trkB mRNA in the DRG or trkB and t-trkB mRNAs in the spinal cord were not observed. 3. Many neurons showed increased coexistence of BDNF and PTT mRNAs or BDNF and CGRP mRNAs in the DRG following inflammation. 4. Few neurons showed coexistence of BDNF and trkB mRNAs in the DRG following inflammation. The results suggest a paracrine function for BDNF within the DRG in addition to an important role related with nociception following peripheral inflammation.

        낙동강에서 유기오염 및 SS 농도 변화에 따른 DOC 농도 변화의 특성

        Temporal increase of SS induces concentrations in various forms of organic matter including BOD, COD, TOC. Consequently, it causes hard to identify sources of water pollution during or after precipitation. The objective of this study is to investigate variations of DOC concentration caused by increase of flow and changes of external factors in river by comparing to SS concentration. In results, monitoring sites (e.g., Banbyeonchen) consisting of hard riverbed showed high correlation between SS and organic matters, except BOD. On the contrary, other sites (e.g., Naesungcheon) where riverbed consists of sand were found in a wide range of annual fluctuation in SS level, whereas these sites showed a narrow range in annual DOC fluctuation. In Gumhogang and Namgang, a lower correlation between SS and other factors was found most likely because of high concentration in organic matter. However, lower annual fluctuation values of DOC were observed in comparison to those of COD and TOC. Similar results were also confirmed in main river sites, Sangju and Mulgeum. In conclusion, DOC concentration is better indicator for monitoring organic matter which cannot be provided by BOD, COD, TOC in the Nakdong river basin.

        Amino Acid-Based Formula in Premature Infants with Feeding Intolerance: Comparison of Fecal Calprotectin Level

        Purpose: We investigated fecal calprotectin (FC) levels in preterm infants with and without feeding intolerance (FI), and compared the FC levels according to the type of feeding.Methods: The medical records of 67 premature infants were reviewed retrospectively. The fully enteral-fed infants were classified into two groups; the FI group (29 infants) and the control group (31 infants). Seven infants with necrotiz-ing enterocolitis, sepsis, and perinatal asphyxia were excluded. If breast milk (BM) or preterm formula (PF) could not be tolerated by infants with FI, amino acid-based formula (AAF) was tried temporarily. Once FI improved, AAF was discontinued, and BM or PF was resumed. We investigated the FC levels according to the type of feeding.Results: Significant differences were found in gestational age, birth weight, age when full enteral feeding was ach-ieved, and hospital stay between the FI and control group (p<0.05). The FC levels in the FI group were significantly higher than those in the control group (p<0.05). The FC levels in the AAF-fed infants with FI were significantly lower than those in the BM- or PF-fed infants (p<0.05). The growth velocities (g/d) and z scores were not significantly different between the FI and control group (p>0.05).Conclusion: The FC levels in AAF-fed infants with FI showed significantly lower than those in the BM- or PF-fed infants with FI. The mitigation of gut inflammation through the decrease of FC levels in AAF-fed infants with FI could be presumed.

        한지벽지 제조에 관한 연구 (Ⅱ) : 한지벽지 제조 및 특성 Making and Properties of Hanji Wallpaper

        This study was carried out to develop the manufacturing technique of Korean paper(Hanji) and find out new uses of machine-made Hanji produced on a a large scale by paper machine. Six kinds of Hanji were made and laminated with backpaper by acryl-based or vinyl acetate ethylene-based adhesive. Six kinds of wallpapers were made such as WH 1, WH 2-1, WH 2-2, WH 3-1, WH 3-2 and WH 4. Physical properties and quality test on the wallpapers were examined. Physical strength of the wallpapers was better than each strength of the Hanji and backpaper. It might be a roll of adhesive. And so. Production cost of the Hanji could be brought down if the Hanji was made thin to get strength not enough to cut during lamination of two papers(Hanji and backpaper). Hanji wallpapers of WH 3-1 and WH 4 are lower than a standard in sunlight resistance and U'H 1 is in properties of opacity. WH 2-1. WH 2-2 and WH 3-2 were better than Korean standard in some quality tests. WH 2-2 and WH 3-2 were superior to other wallpapers as a whole. About. twenty kinds of wallpapers with surface treatment, are now being produced on the basis of these two types of wallpapers.

        대동맥 축착증을 동반한 Turner 증후군 1례

        저자들은 Turner 증후군으로 확진된 환아에서 대동맥 축착이 동반된 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. We reviewed a 24 month old girl with clinical features of webbed neck, low posterior hairline, juxtaductal coarctation of the aorta and was confirmed by karyotyping 45XO. Surgical repair of coarctation of the aorta was performed using the techniques of resection and end-to-end anastomosis. The postoperative course was excellent.

        Analysis of Quality Improvement Priority for Construction PMIS

        As one of the key IT applications, the project management information system (PMIS) played a significant role in construction management processes in Korea. On increasing use of PMIS, regular quality assessment to identify user's requirements of PMIS is necessary. However, there have been rare research efforts for quality assessment for the construction PMIS. This paper aims to propose a priority index of quality improvement for construction PMIS using the importance and satisfaction measures and to verify the discrimination power of the priority index by comparing it with other quality improvement priority index. In addition, this paper discusses some possible ways of PMIS quality improvement. The analysis of quality improvement priority was based on a questionnaire responded by 253 PMIS users (construction managers and constructors). The methods of PMIS improvement were based on the interviews with eight experts. These findings would be the foundation of further researches on PMIS quality improvement. However, more efforts are required to enhance the priority index, in terms of reflecting weighted values of quality assessment factors.
