Changes in the characteristics of dissolved organic matter was studied at selected stations in the Nakdong river basin using physical and chemical methods. Characteristics of dissolved organic matters were analysed and assessed. Production of disinfection byproducts were also investigated. 1. Result of relatedness study among each items of analyses showed that relatedness On BOD values were highest with cattle excrement treatment facilities where there is nosynthetic organic materials and relatedness on COD<SUP>Md</SUP> were highest at the mainstream Nakdong river. In case of COD<SUP>cr</SUP> (which has more oxidative power than COD<SUP>Md</SUP>), the values were higher in the sidestreams indicating the higher content of recalcitrant compounds. The relatedness values for the UV₂?₄also showed higher values in the sidestreams and treatment facilities than mainstream indicating the presence of organic aromatic compounds. 2. Ratio of DOC on total organic carbon were higher in the mainstream which is attributable to the influent particulate organic materials produced by agricultural activities. The values were 10-15% higher in the mainstream compared with sidestreams. 3. Result of biodegradability test indicate that concentrations of recalcitrant DOC were higher in the sidestreams than in the mainstream. The values of recalcitrant DOC were higher with the forest stream indicating the effect of soil oriented humic substances. 4. Result of THM production test carried out at 10 stations in the Nakdong river show that CHCl? was detected with the highest value and the value was highest at Waekwan station.
중복연산 최소화를 통한 저비용 허프 변환 하드웨어 구조

본 논문은 영상의 직선 성분 검출에 널리 사용되는 허프 변환의 하드웨어 구조에 관한 논문이며, 메모리 및 하드웨어 사용량을 최소화하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 본 논문에서는 ???값과 ???값이 대칭인 점을 이용하여 중복연산을 최소화하고, 이를 통해 메모리 및 하드웨어의 재사용성을 높이는 방안을 제시한다. 제안하는 하드웨어 구조는 Verilog-HDL을 통해 모델링 되었으며, 실험을 통해 기존 허프 변환 구조와 비교하여 검출정확성에는 차이가 없지만 하드웨어 및 메모리 사용이 감소함을 확인하였다. This paper presents a new hardware architecture of hough transform which is widely used for line detection and a method to minimize the amount of memory and hardware. Using the mathematical properties of trigonometric function, duplicated operations are minimized and reusability of hardware resources is increased. The proposed architecture is modeled by the Verilog-HDL. Experimental results show that the line detection accuracy is the same with that of conventional architecture while the amount of memory and hardware logic is significantly decreased.

A total of 36 volatile organic compounds in water samples collected 3 times (April, August, October) from 33 representative points along the Nakdong river and from 5 industrial complex discharge points were quantitated and summarized as follows. Cis-1,2-Dichloroethylene was detected on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd investigations at 4 points (Kumho6, Suyong5, Kumi and Seongseo). 1,2-Dichloroethane was detected at 0.83 μg/L on the 2nd investigation at 1 point (Namgang4-1), and also detected at 0.08 μg/L and 1.55 μg/L on the 1st and 2nd investigations, repectively, at 1 point (Seongseo), and was detected on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd investigations at 1 point (Jinju) at 2.27 μg/L, 9.04 μg/L and 7.22 μg/L respectively. These detected concentration values were less than EPA and WHO drinking water guidelines. Risk assessment performed on cis-1,2-dichloroethylene revealed that the current level of the compound is less than estimated criteria and was not risky. On the other hand, 1,2-dichloroethane exceeded estimated criteria in the risk assessment, while its level was less than the WHO drinking water guideline.

In this study, fifteen volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were analyzed by purge & trap (P&T) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometer (GC/MS). Method detection limit (MDL) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were determined in the range of 0.0041~0.5241 μg/L and 0.0123~1.6692 μg/L, respectively. Accuracy and precision were controlled in the range of 78.29~124.57% and 2.95~23.41%, approximately. Five compounds (bromodichloromethane, 1,2-dichloroethane, tribromomethane, cis-1,2-dichloroethene, dibromochloromethane) were detected in stream waters and five compounds (cis-1,2-dichloroethene, acrylonitrile, 1,2- dichloroethane, bromodichloromethane, dibromochloromethane) were detected in 5 discharge points of industrial complex located in the Nakdong river basin. Risk assessments were performed for all of the detected compounds. It was less than the EPA criteria and criteria estimated in 33 representative points. 1,2-Dichloroethane and acrylonitrile detected in discharge points of 5 industrial complex were more than the EPA criteria.
