Huu-Trung Hoang,팜쿡비엣,김정언,김훈,박준석,황원주 한국멀티미디어학회 2019 멀티미디어학회논문지 Vol.22 No.4
Nowadays, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) has just implemented at few hospitals for Outpatient Department (OPD). OPD is the diversified data, it includes demographic and diseases of patient, so it need to be clustered in order to explore the hidden rules and the relationship of data types of patient's information. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for unsupervised clustering of patient's demographic and diseases in OPD. Firstly, we collect data from a hospital at OPD. Then, we preprocess and transform data by using powerful techniques such as standardization, label encoder, and categorical encoder. After obtaining transformed data, we use some strong experiments, techniques, and evaluation to select the best number of clusters and best clustering algorithm. In addition, we use some tests and measurements to analyze and evaluate cluster tendency, models, and algorithms. Finally, we obtain the results to analyze and discover new knowledge, meanings, and rules. Clusters that are found out in this research provide knowledge to medical managers and doctors. From these information, they can improve the patient management methods, patient arrangement methods, and doctor’s ability. In addition, it is a reference for medical data scientist to mine OPD dataset.

Optimal Generation Coordination of Hydrothermal System
Ly Huu Pham,Thang Trung Nguyen,Dieu Ngoc Vo,Bach Hoang Dinh 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.5
This paper presents the use of an enhanced version of conventional cuckoo search algorithm (ECSA) for solving optimal generation coordination of hydrothermal system where the objective is to minimize both fuel cost and emission, and the hydro model is represented as a quadratic function of water discharge with respect to generation. The ECSA method is built for the optimal operation based on several modifications on conventional Cuckoo search algorithm (CSA). In the ECSA method, by evaluating the fitness of all initial eggs they are divided into two parts including the high quality one with lower fitness value and bad quality one with higher fitness value. The ECSA is tested on several systems and obtained results from the ECSA are compared those from other methods. The comparison reveals that the ECSA is so efficient for the considered problem.
Adaptive Cuckoo Search Algorithm for Economic Emission Load Dispatch Problem
Ly Huu Pham,Thang Trung Nguyen,Bach Hoang Dinh 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.4
This paper proposes an Adaptive Cuckoo Search Algorithm (ACSA) for solving economic emission dispatch (EELD) problem with quadratic fuel function. The ACSA is developed by performing two adaptive updated step size parameters on conventional CSA in aim to enhance the convergence speed and quality solution of the conventional CSA. In addition to minimizing electricity generation fuel cost, emission released into the air from thermal plants is also another main objective needs to be minimized. In order to test the performance of the proposed ACSA two systems including a three unit system with one load case and a six unit system with three load cases are employed. The obtained result by the ACSA compared to that from other methods has revealed that the proposed ACSA is a very promising meata-heuristic algorithm for solving economic emission load dispatch problem.

In vitro conservation is one of the most effective strategies for rare plant protection, especially for orchid species. To maximize the success rates of in vitro explant establishment (stage I) in conservation programs, the application of tissue culture additives such as Plant Preservative MixtureTM (PPMTM) should be emphasized. In this study, we used Dendrobium thyrsiflorum Rchb.f. (1875) seeds and seedlings as a model for the evaluation of PPMTM’s phyto- toxicity in the meristematic tissues of epiphytic orchids. PPMTM had no observable inhibitory effect on protocorm, shoot, or root development when it was supplemented at 0.1%. PPMTM supplementation caused adverse effects on D. thyrsiflorum explants at concentrations > 0.2%. At high concentrations, young in vitro seedlings showed damage, especially at the root tissue level. Based on this model, supplementation of 0.1-0.2% PPMTM to culture media was successfully implemented to establish in vitro cultures of other rare orchid species in our conservation program.
Patient Flow Optimization for Outpatient Department Using Discrete-Event Simulation
Xuan-Manh Die,Huu-Trung Hoang,김정언,김훈,박준석,황원주 한국멀티미디어학회 2019 멀티미디어학회논문지 Vol.22 No.7
The patient’s waiting time and length of stay have been reported as a factor decreasing their satisfaction in the hospital, especially in developing countries. This paper focuses on modeling hospital's outpatient department workflow in a developing country and optimizing the patient waiting time as well as total length of stay. By using discrete-event simulation, many alternative scenarios have raised, such as adding more working time, altering human resources, and adjusting the staff's responsibility, those scenarios will be examined to explore better settings for the hospital. The results show that possible to achieve a 9.6% reduction in patient total length of stay and it could be accomplished without adding more resources to the hospital.

This paper proposes an intelligent system performing an application with assistance of an Internet of Things (IoT) platform to control a traffic lights system. In our proposed systems, the traffic lights can be remotely controlled through the Internet. Based on IoT platform, the traffic conditions at different intersections of roads are collected and the traffic lights are controlled in a central manner. For the software part, the algorithm is designed based on the green wave theory to maximize the green bandwidth of arterial roads while addressing a challenging issue: the rapid changes of parameters including cycle time, splits, offset, non-fixed vehicles’ velocities and traffic flow along arterial roads. The issue typically happens at some areas where the transportation system is not well organized like in Vietnam. For the hardware part, PLC S7-1200 are placed at the intersections for two purposes: to control traffic lights and to collect the parameters and transmit to a host machine at the operation center. For the communication part, the TCP/IP protocol can be done using a Profinet port embedded in the PLC. Some graphical user interface captures are also presented to illustrate the operation of our proposed system.
