      • Application of self-adaptive ant colony optimization for real estate portfolio based on risk preference coefficient

LI Huimin,WANG Zhuofu 인하대학교 정석물류통상연구원 2009 인하대학교 정석물류통상연구원 학술대회 Vol.2009 No.10

Optimization of real estate portfolio is to select two or more different types of real estate for investment, and the previous models based on expected return-variance cannot meet the needs of the investor’s Furthermore, the investor changes their risk preference with the risk level. In this study, firstly, the semi-variance real estate investment portfolio model with the risk preference coefficient is constructed. The return per unit of risk is the key factor to affect an investment decision. Secondly, a self-adaptive ant colony optimization (SACO) with changing parameters based on mean information entropy of the ant system ha been employed to solve the constructed model, which overcomes the intrinsic weakness of premature of the basic ant colony optimization (ACO) and selection parameters. Finally, a real-world case study is carried out to verify the performance of SACO, and indicates that SACO can generate better sollution than GA. The SACO can be regarded as a useful approach for solving real estate portfolio problem.

Ginsenoside Rb1 exerts neuroprotective effects through regulation of Lactobacillus helveticus abundance and GABAA receptor expression

        Huimin Chen,Jiajia Shen,Haofeng Li,Xiao Zheng,Dian Kang,Yangfan Xu,Chong Chen,Huimin Guo,Lin Xie,Guangji Wang,Yan Liang 고려인삼학회 2020 Journal of Ginseng Research Vol.44 No.1

Background: Ginsenoside Rb1 (Rb1), one of the most abundant protopanaxadiol-type ginsenosides, exerts excellent neuroprotective effects even though it has low intracephalic exposure. Purpose: The present study aimed to elucidate the apparent contradiction between the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of Rb1 by studying the mechanisms underlying neuroprotective effects of Rb1 based on regulation of microflora. Methods: A pseudo germ-free (PGF) rat model was established, and neuroprotective effects of Rb1 were compared between conventional and PGF rats. The relative abundances of common probiotics were quantified to reveal the authentic probiotics that dominate in the neuroprotection of Rb1. The expressions of the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors, including GABAA receptors (α2, β2, and γ2) and GABAB receptors (1b and 2), in the normal, ischemia/reperfusion (I/R), and I/RþRb1 rat hippocampus and striatum were assessed to reveal the neuroprotective mechanism of Rb1. Results: The results showed that microbiota plays a key role in neuroprotection of Rb1. The relative abundance of Lactobacillus helveticus (Lac.H) increased 15.26 fold after pretreatment with Rb1. I/R surgery induced effects on infarct size, neurological deficit score, and proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α) were prevented by colonizing the rat gastrointestinal tract with Lac.H (1×109 CFU) by gavage 15 d before I/R surgery. Both Rb1 and Lac.H upregulated expression of GABA receptors in I/R rats. Coadministration of a GABAA receptor antagonist significantly attenuated neuroprotective effects of Rb1 and Lac.H. Conclusion: In sum, Rb1 exerts neuroprotective effects by regulating Lac.H and GABA receptors rather than through direct distribution to the target sites.

Experimental investigation on the essential work of mixed-mode fracture of PC/ABS alloy

Huimin Li,Guiping Jiang,Qinzhi Fang,Tiejun Wang 대한기계학회 2015 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.29 No.1

The mixed-mode fracture of polycarbonate (PC)/acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene (ABS) alloy is experimentally investigated in thiswork. The essential work of fracture method is employed to measure the mixed-mode fracture toughness of PC/ABS alloy. Results showthat the essential fracture work we increases significantly with the decrease in loading angles. Crack initiation angles are measured on thefractured specimens. The deviation of crack growth direction from the initial crack plane also increases with the decrease in loading angles, which corresponds to the increase of shear components. Microfracture processes of PC/ABS alloy with different loading angles areexamined in situ by a scanning electron microscope. Crazing structures are clearly seen around the crack tip. The appearance, growth, and coalescence of crazes can be observed in the microfracture processes, and the macrocrack propagation direction is finally determinedby the coalesced direction of crazes.

Comparative portrayal of ocular surface microbe with and without dry eye

        ZhenHao Li,Yufang Gong,ShuZe Chen,SiQi Li,Yu Zhang,HuiMin Zhong,ZhouCheng Wang,YiFan Chen,QiXin Deng,YuTing Jiang,LiYing Li,Min Fu,GuoGuo Yi 한국미생물학회 2019 The journal of microbiology Vol.57 No.11

To compare the ocular surface (OS) microbial communities and diversity between dry eye (DE) and non-DE (NDE). Furthermore, we compared meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) and non-MGD (NMGD) among DE subjects. The V3-V4 region of 16S rRNA gene high-throughput sequencing was performed in the conjunctival swab samples to investigate the composition of the OS bacterial community in DE (n=35) and NDE (n=54) and compared the composition of MGD (n=25) and NMGD (n=10) among DE subjects. Deep sequencing of OS 16S rDNA from DE (n=35) and NDE (n=54) demonstrated great a difference in alpha and beta diversity between the OS bacterial flora (P < 0.05). The similar OS microbial structures were shown at the phylum and genus levels by bioinformatics analysis between them, and in LEfSe (linear discriminant analysis effect size) analysis, Bacteroidia and Bacteroidetes were enriched in DE, while Pseudomonas was plentiful in NDE (linear discriminant analysis [LDA] > 4.0). Among the DE group, there was no significant difference in α and β diversity between MGD and NMGD (P > 0.05). Surprisingly, Bacilli was the dominant microbe in MGD, and Bacteroidetes was the superior bacteria in NMGD among DE subjects (LDA > 4.0). Different diversity of OS bacteria composition between DE and NDE and the altered diversity of OS bacteria may play an important role in DE. Moreover, the lower dominance of OS bacteria in DE may be associated with the occurrence and development of DE. Although there was no significant difference in alpha and beta analysis, the OS dominant microbe between MGD and NMGD among DE was different.

Co-design of Anti-windup Compensator and a Novel Saturation-based Dynamic Event-triggered Mechanism for Asymmetric Saturated System

        Hongchao Li,Huimin Deng,Nan Zhang,Mengfan Li 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2024 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.22 No.2

This paper addresses the co-design of anti-windup compensator and a novel saturation-based dynamic event-triggered condition for asymmetric saturated system. Asymmetric saturation frequently appears in practical systems, which may seriously degrade the system performance. For the systems with undetectable state, dynamic output feedback controller is employed in this paper. A saturation-based dynamic event-triggered mechanism related to the upper and lower bounds of asymmetric saturation is proposed in this paper, which has better performance in reducing the event-triggered number than static event-triggered condition. In addition, the minimum triggering time interval is calculated to avoid Zeno behavior. An optimization problem is formulated to maximize estimated stable region for the closed-loop system. Finally, the proposed results are illustrated by a numerical example.

Accuracy of three-dimensional periodontal ligament models generated using cone-beam computed tomography at different resolutions for the assessment of periodontal bone loss

        Hangmiao Lyu,Li Xu,Huimin Ma,Jianxia Hou,Xiaoxia Wang,Yong Wang,Yijiao Zhao,Weiran Li,Xiaotong Li 대한치과교정학회 2023 대한치과교정학회지 Vol.53 No.2

Objective: To develop a method for generating three-dimensional (3D) digital models of the periodontal ligament (PDL) using 3D cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) reconstruction and to evaluate the accuracy and agreement of the 3D PDL models in the measurement of periodontal bone loss. Methods: CBCT data collected from four patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion prior to periodontal surgery were reconstructed at three voxel sizes (0.2 mm, 0.25 mm, and 0.3 mm), and 3D tooth and alveolar bone models were generated to obtain digital PDL models for the maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth. Linear measurements of the alveolar bone crest obtained during periodontal surgery were compared with the digital measurements for assessment of the accuracy of the digital models. The agreement and reliability of the digital PDL models were analyzed using intra- and interexaminer correlation coefficients and Bland–Altman plots. Results: Digital models of the maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth, PDL, and alveolar bone of the four patients were successfully established. Relative to the intraoperative measurements, linear measurements obtained from the 3D digital models were accurate, and there were no significant differences among different voxel sizes at different sites. High diagnostic coincidence rates were found for the maxillary anterior teeth. The digital models showed high intra- and interexaminer agreement. Conclusions: Digital PDL models generated by 3D CBCT reconstruction can provide accurate and useful information regarding the alveolar crest morphology and facilitate reproducible measurements. This could assist clinicians in the evaluation of periodontal prognosis and establishment of an appropriate orthodontic treatment plan.
