      • Enhanced Data Driven Model-Free Adaptive Yaw Control of Unmanned-Aerial-Vehicle Helicopter

        In this paper, an enhanced data driven model-free adaptive yaw control tracking control scheme is proposed for the yaw channel of an unmanned-aerial-vehicle helicopter that is non-affine in the control input. By dynamic linearization and observer techniques, the proposed control algorithm is only based on the PPD parameter estimation derived online from the I/O data of the controlled system, and Lyapunov-based stability analysis is used to prove all signals of close-loop control system are bounded. Compared with the traditional model free adaptive control, the proposed enhanced model free control algorithm can make the closes-loop control system with stronger robustness and better anti-jamming ability. Finally, the simulation results of the dynamic model of a real helicopter-on-arm are offered to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed new control techniques.

        Synthesis of mesoporous PrxZr1-xO2-δ solid solution with high thermal stability for catalytic soot oxidation

        The fabrication of mesoporous PrxZr1xO2d solid solutions with different Pr/Zr molar ratios is reported in the present work. Based on a systematic investigation, the anion of Zr precursor and template species are found to play the most important roles for the formation of mesoporous structure. The triblock copolymer Pluronic F127 template helps to generate porosity in the matrix by self-assembly into micelle, while the additional Cl1 from Zr precursor can lead to the enhancement of the interaction between non-ionic micelles. The physicochemical properties of the obtained samples were studied by means of N2 sorption analysis, TEM, XRD, H2-TPR, O2-TPD and XPS technique. It is found that, compared with the nonmesoporous counterparts, the mesoporous PrxZr1xO2d solid solutions possess much higher specific surface area (139 m2 g1) and enhanced redox ability. Also, the ability to release oxygen is improved after aging at high temperature. For the catalytic soot oxidation, the fresh mesoporous Pr0.1Zr0.9O2d catalyst (calcinated at 500 C) shows high activity in a loose contact condition (T50 = 399 C). It should be highlighted that the T50 values over the three mesoporous PrxZr1xO2d samples decrease by 8–24 C after aging at 800 C for 3 h. This suggests that the mesoporous PrxZr1xO2d solid solution is an ideal candidate for catalytic application at high temperatures.

        A novel theta-class glutathione S-transferase gene in Rhopalosiphum padi (L.) (Hemiptera: Aphididae): Identification, recombinant protein expression and function analyses of RpGSTT1

        Glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) play a major role in the detoxification of insecticides and the protection against oxidative damage caused by ROS (reactive oxygen species). The bird cherry-oat aphid, Rhopalosiphum padi (L.), is a major crop pest worldwide. Chemical insecticides are currently used to control aphids, but insecticide resis tance is an evolutionary issue for aphid control. In this research, we identified and cloned the full-length cDNA of a theta-class GST gene (RpGSTT1) from R. padi, which contains 702 bp open reading frame encoding 233 amino acids. RpGSTT1 was clustered together with theta classe of insect GSTs in the phylogenetic tree. Effect of insecticide exposure on the GST enzyme activity was investigated in vivo. After affinity purification, the re combinant RpGSTT1 protein was able to catalyze the conjugation of 1-chloro-2, 4-dinitrobenzene (CDNB). A disc diffusion assay showed that the RpGSTT1 can increase resistance to cumene hydroperoxide-induced oxidative stress. In addition, the purified recombinant RpGSTT1 protected super-coiled DNA from oxidative damage. By quantitative PCR, The relative expression level of RpGSTT1 in the aphid was highly up-regulated after 12 h exposure to β-cypermethrin, isoprocarb, malathion and sulfoxaflor, respectively. To our knowledge, RpGSTT1 is the first theta class of GST gene reported in bird cherry-oat aphid. Our findings indicate that RpGSTT1 may be involved in insecticide detoxification in R. padi.

        Triterpenoid Saponins from Vaccaria segetalis

        Two new triterpenoid saponins, named segetoside D and E, have been isolated from the seeds of Vaccaria segetalis. On the basis of chemical reactions and spectral data, structures of segetoside D and E have been established as: 28-O-[β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)]-[5-O-acetyl-α-arabinofuranosyl(1→3)]-[4-O-acetyl-β-D-fucopyranosyl]-quillaic acid-3-O-[β-D-galactopyranosyl(1→2)]-6-O-methyl ester-β-D-glucuronopyranoside and 28-O-[β-D-xylopyranosyl-(1→4)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)]-[5-O-acetyl-α-arabinofuranosyl(1→3)]-[4-O-acetyl-β-D-fucopyranosyl]-quillaic acid -3-O-[β-D-galactopyranosyl(1→2)]-6-O-n-butyl ester-β-D-glucuronopyranoside, respectively.

        INFLUENCE OF HEAT TRANSFER OF COMBUSTION CHAMBER WALL ON THE PERFORMANCE OF GASOLINE ENGINE BASED ON POLISHING TECHNOLOGY UNDER DIFFERENT COMPRESSION RATIO AND AIR-FUEL RATIO

        On a single-cylinder gasoline engine test bench, the experimental study of the effects of polishing the combustion chamber wall and piston top surface on the indicated thermal efficiency and combustion characteristics were carried out, and the mutual influence of combustion phase, combustion duration and indicated thermal efficiency before and after polishing the wall of combustion system was systematically analyzed. The results show that when the single-cylinder gasoline engine operates at stoichiometric air-fuel ratio, low load and low compression ratio, the heat transfer loss of the polished combustion chamber is reduced and the fuel economy is improved, and the indicated thermal efficiency is increased from 40.8 to 42.2 %. With the increasing of load and compression ratio, the knock effect caused by the reduction of heat transfer loss after polishing is enhanced, and the combustion phase is delayed and the combustion duration is prolonged, which eventually leads to the decrease of the indicated thermal efficiency. After combustion chamber polishing, HC and NOx decrease by up to 70 %. With the increase of compression ratio, HC emission gradually increases, while NOx emission gradually decreases. There is no obvious change trend of CO emission before and after polishing. When the gasoline engine operates in lean combustion mode, the indicated thermal efficiency increases effectively, and the highest thermal efficiency exceeds 45 %; When the gasoline engine operates at indicated mean effective pressure of 1.05 MPa, the reduction of heat transfer loss in the combustion chamber after polishing enhances the knocking tendency, resulting in the overall decrease of the gross indicated thermal efficiency compared with that before polishing.

        Propagation Dynamics of a Finite-energy Airy Beam with Sinusoidal Phase in Optical Lattice

        The propagation of a truncated Airy beam with spatial phase modulation (SPM) is investigated in Kerr nonlinearity with an optical lattice. Before the truncated Airy beam enters the optical lattice, a sinusoidal phase is introduced on the wave-front of the beam. The effect of the spatial phase modulation and optical lattice on propagation behavior is analyzed by direct numerical simulation. It is found that the propagation direction of a truncated Airy beam can be effectively controlled by adjusting the values of phase shift. The effects of optical amplitude, truncation factor, spatial modulation frequency, lattice period and lattice depth on the propagation are discussed in detail. By choosing a high modulation depth, the finite-energy Airy beam can be deflected with a large deflection angle in an optical lattice.
