As construction projects become larger and more complicated than before, sophisticated management techniques is essential for project success. Information systems and technology has been introduced to this end. Mega project is one of most complicated project type as public and private sectors involve and the space will be construed in all directions i.e. horizontal, vertical, underground and ground. This paper describes fundamental study to implement intelligent information systems to mange mega projects. The systems aim to provide information to users for acknowledging the status and thus enable them to make project decisions. This concept is called ‘intelligent’.

In the construction site, there are too many changes, such as conveyance of materials, change of design and construction process which are originated from expansion and complexity of project. Finally, these changes and delay cause the failure of the project. So, controlling and managing the construction process are essential for the success of project. The use of RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) system has become an indispensable condition to maintain the productivity of project process. But it is not true that RFID system solves all the problems. There still lies many obstacles to a practical implementation of RFID in the construction site such as lack of understanding and ignorance of end-user, charge of start-up cost, and many other reasons like technical difficulties or Organizational factors. So in this research, the impact factors affecting the success of RFID system is proposed by analysing many literatures about the RFID. And then the survey was carried out based on these factors. The purpose of survey was to find the impact factors that affect the revitalization of RFID system in the construction site.

This study is to analyze and to compare the pulmonary function of non-smokers, forward head posture, smokers, forward head posture and smokers by spirometer. Method : Forty healthy male and female adults were recruited, and agreed to participate as subjects in the study after a prior investigation. In order to examine the pulmonary function, measured the Forced Vital Capacity, the Forced Expiratory Volume in one second, the Forced Expiratory Volume in one second / Forced Vital Capacity percent, the Peak Expiratory Flow, the maximal voluntary ventilation, all measurements were used in owo-way ANOVA to analyze difference variables. Results : The result of study, the Forced Expiratory Volume in one second, the Forced Expiratory Volume in one second / Forced Vital Capacity percent, the maximal voluntary ventilation showed Statistically significant differences value. Also, as a result of the post test, between the nonsmokers group and the group of smokers in the Forward head posture showed significant differences value into the Forced Expiratory Volume in one second, the Forced Expiratory Volume in one second / Forced Vital Capacity percent. Thus, smoking and Forward head posture had effected pulmonary function, Conclusion : It is suggested that the cause of obstructive pulmonary disease can be caused by Foward head posture and smoking and it will be an important basic data to prevent lung disease.

This paper proposes a policy adjuster-driven Grid workflow management system for collaborative healthcare platform, which supports collaborative heart disease diagnosis applications. To select policies according to service level agreement of users and dynamic resource status, we devised a policy adjuster to handle workflow management polices and resource management policies using policy decision scheme. We implemented this new architecture with workflow management functions based on policy quorum based resource management system for providing poincare geometrycharacterized ECG analysis and virtual heart simulation service. To evaluate our proposed system, we executed a heart disease identification application in our system and compared the performance to that of the general workflow system and PQRM system under different types of SLA.

<B>Graphic Abstract</B> <P>Magnetic, fluorescent core–shell nanoparticles consist of a single Fe3O4 nanocrystal core and a dye-doped mesoporous silica shell with a poly(ethylene glycol) coating (see picture of TEM images and schematic depictions). These nanoparticles can be used as magnetic resonance and fluorescence imaging agents, and as drug delivery vehicles, thus making them novel candidates for simultaneous cancer diagnosis and therapy. <img src='wiley_img/14337851-2008-47-44-ANIE200802469-content.gif' alt='wiley_img/14337851-2008-47-44-ANIE200802469-content'> </P>

<P>Developing an artificial extracellular matrix that closely mimics the native tissue microenvironment is important for use as both a cell culture platform for controlling cell fate and an in vitro model system for investigating the role of the cellular microenvironment. Electrospinning, one of the methods for fabricating structures that mimic the native ECM, is a promising technique for creating fibrous platforms. It is well-known that align or randomly distributed electrospun fibers provide cellular contact guidance in a single pattern. However, native tissues have hierarchical structures, i.e., topographies on the micro- and nanoscales, rather than a single structure. Thus, we fabricated randomly distributed nanofibrous (720 +/- 80 nm in diameter) platforms via a conventional electrospinning process, and then we generated microscale grooves using a femtosecond laser ablation process to develop engineered fibrous platforms with patterned hierarchical topographies. The engineered fibrous platforms can regulate cellular adhesive morphology, proliferation, and distinct distribution of focal adhesion proteins. Furthermore, confluent myoblasts cultured on the engineered fibrous platforms revealed that the direction of myotube assembly can be controlled. These results indicate that our engineered fibrous platforms may be useful tools in investigating the roles of nano- and microscale topographies in the communication between cells and ECM.</P>
