Lu, Jia,Wu, Qian-Qian,Zhou, Ya-Bo,Zhang, Kai-Hua,Pang, Bing-Xin,Li, Liang,Sun, Nan,Wang, Heng-Shu,Zhang, Song,Li, Wen-Jian,Zheng, Wei,Liu, Wei Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2016 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.17 No.6
The CKLF-like MARVEL transmembrane domain-containing family (CMTM) is a novel family of genes first reported at international level by Peking University Human Disease Gene Research Center. The gene products act between chemokines and the transmembrane-4 superfamily. Located in several human chromosomes, the CMTMs CKLF and CMTM1 to CMTM8 may be unregulated in tumors and act as potential tumor suppressor genes with important roles in the immune, male reproductive and hematopoietic systems. In-depth studies in recent years established a close relation between CMTMs and tumorigenesis and metastasis. The CMTM family has a significant clinical value in diagnosis and treatment of diseases linked to tumors and the immune system.

‘Dangshansuli’ pear is a yellow–green fruit when mature, whereas that of the mutant ‘Xiusu’ is russeted. In this study, thecontents of glucose, fructose and sucrose in the exocarp of ‘Xiusu’ were found to be lower than those in ‘Dangshansuli’ at75–100 days after full bloom (DAFB) but were higher at 150 DAFB. Additionally, the contents of six polysaccharides inthe exocarp of ‘Xiusu’ were higher than those in ‘Dangshansuli’ at 75 DAFB, the stage at which ‘Xiusu’ becomes russetin color, as well as at 150 DAFB; however, this was not observed for xylose. The contents of type I and II amino acids inthe exocarp of ‘Xiusu’ were higher than those in ‘Dangshansuli’ at diff erent stages, except for at 150 DAFB. The entiresequences of eight genes involved in the shikimate pathway and cell wall structure were cloned, and expression of thesegenes in the exocarp of ‘Dangshansuli’ and ‘Xiusu’ were signifi cantly diff erent during fruit development, indicating thatthese genes might be involved in the russeting process. It is speculated that the shikimate pathway connects primary andsecondary metabolism and that high contents of sugars as carbon sources provide precursors for suberin, lignin and lignanto generate russet skin in pear.

Liuyang Heng,Zilong Zhang,Shuai Wang,Xiqiao Chen,Xiubo Jia,Zhixiang Tang,Yanhong Zou 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2019 NANO Vol.14 No.1
Core–shell structured Fe/C have been successfully derived from a metal-organic framework for microwave absorbing. Based on the measured electromagnetic parameters, it is found that the maximum reflection loss (RL) of Fe/C reaches 40 dB at 5.8 GHz with a thickness of 3.0 mm and the broadest absorption bandwidth (RL < -10 dB) is up to 6.0 GHz (from 11.2 to 17.2 GHz) with a thickness of 1.5 mm. The excellent microwave absorption is mainly ascribed to the multiple reflections, good impedance matching, dielectric loss and interface polarization originating from the core–shell structure. It is believed that Fe/C can be a promising microwave absorbing material.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted by fossil energy combustion is related to the greenhouse effect. To furtherstudy the motion dynamics of CO2 bubbles in various solutions so as to better absorb them, a CO2 bubble experimentalplatform was built. The growth and motion of a single CO2 bubble were experimented in five concentrations ofNaOH, NaHCO3 solutions and five viscosity deionized waters, photographed with a high-speed camera and importedinto PyCharm for analysis. Based on this, four kinds of CO2 bubbles were experimentally studied. The results show thatthe viscosity leads to the increase of rising time; the maximum rise time is 0.518 s when the viscosity is 100 mPa·s, theaspect ratio of CO2 bubble in solution, there will be an “L” distribution, and the minimum rise time is close to risingafter the bubble is separated from the injector. NaHCO3 inhibits the reaction between NaOH solution and CO2, resultingin the cross-section ratio change decreasing. The concentration of NaOH solution most conducive to CO2absorption is 0.039 g/ml and 0.058 g/ml.

Background and Purpose By measuring a newly defined parameter, the carotid–cerebral pulse wave velocity (ccPWV), this study aimed to determine the association of intracranial artery calcification (IAC) with arterial stiffness as reflected by the pulse wave velocity between the carotid and middle cerebral arteries using transcranial Doppler sonography in patients with acute stroke. Methods We recruited 146 patients with ischemic stroke from our stroke center. Computed tomography of the head was used to assess the presence and severity of IAC. Arterial stiffness was evaluated using ccPWV. Data are presented as quartiles of ccPWV. A multivariable logistic regression model was used to assess the independent relationship between ccPWV and IAC. Results The IAC prevalence increased with the ccPWV quartile, being 54%, 76%, 83%, and 89% for quartiles 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively (p<0.001) as did IAC scores, with median [interquartile range] values of 0 [0–2], 3 [2–4], 4 [2–5], and 5 [4–6], respectively (p<0.001). After additionally adjusting for age and hypertension, a significant correlation was only found between quartiles 3 and 4 of ccPWV and IAC scores. The odds ratio (95% confidence interval) for the IAC scores was 1.78 (1.28–2.50) (p=0.001) in quartile 4 of ccPWV and 1.45 (1.07–1.95) (p=0.015) in quartile 3 compared with quartile 1. Conclusions We found that in patients with acute ischemic stroke, ccPWV was positively related to the degree of IAC. Future longitudinal cohort studies may help to identify the potential role of IAC in the progression of cerebral arterial stiffness.

This paper presents a multi-objective robust optimization method for a drive system consisting of a permanent magnet transverse flux machine with soft magnetic composite cores and a field-oriented controller. Unlike existing research work, the torque ripple is considered an optimization objective. Several machine uncertainties caused by manufacturing tolerances are investigated in the robust optimization model under the framework of the design for six-sigma. Since this is a system-level optimization problem, two approximation models are employed to decrease the computational cost. First, a Kriging model is used to approximate the steady-state electromagnetic performances of the motor, such as the output power and efficiency. Second, a Taylor series approximation is employed to estimate the dynamic performances of the control system, such as the speed overshoot and settling time. Furthermore, a sampling selection method is proposed to reduce the computational cost of the Monte Carlo analysis in robust optimization. To show the eff ectiveness of the proposed method, both deterministic and robust Pareto solutions are presented and discussed. It can be seen that the system-level multi-objective design optimization based on robust approach can produce optimal Pareto solutions with a high manufacturing quality for the whole drive system. This is valuable for the batch production of electrical drive systems.
A Data-Mining Approach for Wind Turbine Power Generation Performance Monitoring Based on Power Curve
Jianlou Lou,Heng Lu,Jia Xu,Zhaoyang Qu 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Smart Home Vol.10 No.2
A new data-mining approach based on power curve profiles is put forward to monitor the power generation performance of wind turbines in this paper. Through assessing the wind-speed power datasets, the weakened power generation performance of turbines could be identified effectively by this approach. Shapes of power curve profiles over consecutive time intervals are constructed by fitting power curve models into wind-speed power datasets. In this research, we designed the Auto-adapt Optimal Interclass Variance algorithm, optimal constraint in each wind-speed power sub-dataset is explored for governing the data-driven method based on distance-based outlier detection and variance analysis model. The AOIV algorithm achieves the self-optimization of the threshold parameter and reaches a high degree of robustness to variations in wind-power generation performance monitoring. The blind industrial researches are conducted to validate the effectiveness of this approach, also indicates the decrease of error rates while detecting weakened power generation performance and the improvement of turbines’ power output.

To determine the role of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDHC) in Klebsiella pneumoniae, the growth and metabolism of PDHC-deficient mutant in glycerol-based medium were analyzed and compared with those of other strains. Under aerobic conditions, the PDHC activity was fourfold higher than that of pyruvate formate lyase (PFL), and blocking of PDHC caused severe growth defect and pyruvate accumulation, indicating that the carbon flux through pyruvate to acetyl coenzyme A mainly depended on PDHC. Under anaerobic conditions, although the PDHC activity was only 50% of that of PFL, blocking of PDHC resulted in more growth defect than blocking of PFL. Subsequently, combined with the requirement of CO2 and intracellular redox status, it was presumed that the critical role of PDHC was to provide NADH for the anaerobic growth of K. pneumoniae. This presumption was confirmed in the PDHC-deficient mutant by further blocking one of the formate dehydrogenases, FdnGHI. Besides, based on our data, it can also be suggested that an improvement in the carbon flux in the PFL-deficient mutant could be an effective strategy to construct highyielding 1,3-propanediol-producing K. pneumoniae strain.
