      • Distributed Fusion Filter for Multi-rate Sampling Stochastic Singular Systems with Multiplicative Noises

        The distributed fusion filtering problem is studied for multi-rate sampling stochastic singular linear systems with multiple sensors and stochastic multiplicative noises. The system is described at the highest sampling rate and different sensors may have different lower sampling rates. The white noise in measurement matrix is introduced to describe the stochastic disturbance. Firstly, based on decomposition in canonical form, the original singular system is transformed into fast and slow two subsystems. For the two reduced-order subsystems, the local filters (LFs) are given based on the “dummy” random variables. The cross-covariance matrices between any two local filtering errors are derived. Further, the distributed fusion filter weighted by matrices (FFWM) is obtained for the original singular system based on the well-known fusion algorithm in the linear minimum variance sense. Simulation example verifies the correctness and feasibility of the proposed algorithm.

        <P>The Nd2Fe14B alloy has been successfully synthesized by nitrate-citrate auto-combustion followed by the reduction and diffusion process with low energy consumption. H3BO3, Fe(NO3)3·9H2O, and Nd(NO3)3·6H2O were used as precursors and citric acid was used as the chelating ligand of metal ions. Ammonia water was used to adjust pH to 7. CaH2 was used as a reducing agent for the reduction and diffusion process. NdFeO3 and Fe2O3 were produced during auto-combustion of gel. The combustion process of the gel was investigated by TGA/DTA curve measurements. The phase compositions were studied by XRD measurements. The differences of the overall morphology and magnetic properties were measured by SEM, TEM and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) at 300 K. The comparison of the magnetic properties of the reduced samples between the pellet type and the random powder type was done with VSM and it showed better magnetic properties of the pellet type Nd2Fe14B. Making a compact pellet type sample for reduction is more efficient for solid reduction and phase transition for higher coercivity.</P>

        High-j Proton h11/2 and g7/2 Intruder Bands in 113In

        Excited states of 113In have been populated through the heavy-ion fusion evaporation reaction 110Pd(7Li, 4n)113In. A new band with the configuration of a proton d5/2 orbital is identified. Two ΔI = 2 intruder bands, built on the πh11/2 and the πg7/2 orbitals, have been extended to spins (63/2-)ħ and (55/2+)ħ, respectively. The negative-parity πh11/2 intruder band shows a smooth increase in aligned spin, which is attributed to a strong proton-neutron interaction. The properties of the positive-parity πg7/2 band are discussed based on tilted axis cranking model calculations, and the features of the antimagnetic rotation for this band are shown after backbend. Furthermore, the contributions of the two-shears-like mechanism, the neutron (gd)ν shell and the core rotation are investigated for the positive-parity πg7/2 band.

      • Information Fusion Filter for Multi-rate Multi-sensor Systems

        This paper is concerned with the information fusion filtering problem for a class of multi-rate multi-sensor systems, where the system is described at the highest sampling rate and different sensors may have different lower sampling rates. Firstly, the local filters (LFs) at state updating points are proposed by using the LFs at measurement sampling points. Then, the distributed suboptimal fusion filter is obtained by the well-known covariance intersection fusion (CIF) algorithm. The filtering error variance matrices are derived to obtain the fusion weights. The computational cost is reduced since the cross-covariance matrices between any two local filters are avoided. Simulation example verifies the correctness and feasibility of the proposed algorithm.

        Analysis of the low velocity impact response of functionally graded carbon nanotubes reinforced composite spherical shells

        The low velocity impact analysis of functionally graded carbon nanotubes reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) spherical shells including the contact force and indentation of the shell surface center was presented. The material properties were set according to the rule of mixture. The fibers and polymeric matrix were temperature-dependent. Timoshenko-Midlin assumption was used to establish the dimensionless nonlinear governing equations of the axis-symmetric transverse isotropy spherical shells. The Hertz contact theory was established to obtain the force and displacement between the spherical shell and impactor. Seven species of comparison analyses including grading profiles and volume fraction were mentioned to investigate the influence on the low velocity impact response of the FG-CNTRC spherical shells. The results revealed that the contact force was determined by the material properties of both contact surface and noncontact surface collectively. Furthermore, the increase of volume fraction can result in the larger contact force and shorter contact time.

        Scaling analysis of magnetic-thermal behaviors in ferromagnetic insulator LaCoO3 thin film

        The structure, surface topography and magnetic properties of LaCoO3 (LCO) thin films deposited epitaxially on the SrTiO3 substrates have been investigated in detail. The LCO thin films show a typical ferromagneticparamagnetic (FM-PM) phase transition at 78 K. Based on the measurements of isothermal magnetization around the Curie point, the magnetic entropy change (ΔSM) of LCO thin films under various applied magnetic fields were obtained. By utilizing scaling theory, all of the ΔSM curves can be re-scaled, confirming that the FMPM phase transition is second-order magnetic phase transition. Moreover, the magnetic entropy change -ΔSM features a maximum around TC, whereas, power law fitting of -ΔSmax M with H gives n = 0.9704, which is obviously deviating from the standard value n = 2/3 for the Landau mean field model. This indicates that the mean field theory cannot be used to explain the critical behavior of LCO thin films which implies that the critical behavior of LCO thin films may involve complex magnetic interactions. These interactions are correlated with a long-term puzzling finding in this system why its Curie point is always around 80 K regardless of the different fabrication methods and conditions used in the film growth.

        일반논문 : 『삼도부』와 위진 박물학: 『문선집주』 유규주(劉逵注) 인서(引書)를 중심으로

        『삼도부(三都賦)』는 위진 박물학과 은밀한 연관이 있는 것으로 보인다. 좌사(左思)는 부(賦)를 짓기 위해 비서랑이 되고자 했으며, 서진(西晉)의 비각(秘閣)에서 많은 책을 두루 읽었다. 그의 “征實”의 근거가 바로 여기에 있다. 유규(劉逵)가 주를 단 『문선집주』의 고찰을 통해 『삼도부』의 “征實”의 사조의 배후에 하나의 박물학의 세계가 나타남을 볼 수 있다, 그는 『시경(詩經)』, 『초사(楚辭)』의 비흥(比興)과 상징의 전통에서 벗어났고, 『이아(爾雅)』, 『방언(方言)』, “이물지(異物志)”에서 물(物)을 묘사하는 방법을 사용하여 『삼도부』에서 사(詞)와 물(物)의 정확한 연관을 확립한 것으로 보인다. 좌사의 박물학 세계에는 한계가 있었기 때문에 내적인 충돌이 형성되었다. 첫째는 지리와 정치 -“이물지”, 양웅(揚雄)의 『촉도부(蜀都賦)』에 나타나는 지방성과 『상서(尙書)·우공(禹貢)』, 『한서(漢書)·지리지(地理志)』에 나타나는 대통일 사상 - 사이의 충돌이다. 둘째는 신화와 역사 - 『장자(莊子)』, 『회남자(淮南子)』 가운데 나타나는 도가적 우주관, 그리고 물(物)로써 물(物)을 보는 “물아관(物我觀)”과 『좌전(左傳)』과 『한서』 등 경서와 사서에 나타나는 유가 정통 사상 - 사이의 충돌이다. 『삼도부』는 “正之以魏都, 折之以王道”라는 주제를 추구하고 있다. 그러나 박물학의 세계에 대해 남김없이 드러낸 것은 정반대의 효과를 불러일으키는 양식으로 빠져 들어가는 것을 면치 못하게 하였다. San du fu (三都賦: Rhapsodies on the Three Capitals) is intimately linked to the natural philosophy of Western Jin. Zuo Si requested the post of secretary and read widely from texts in the Palace Library of Western Jin to compose the rhapsodies, and its link to Western Jin’s natural philosophy is seen in the words zheng shi (征 實). Through a study of Liu Kui’s commentary on San du fu in Wen xuan ji zhu(文選 集注: the Collected Commentaries on the Selections of Refined Literature), we can see the world of natural philosophy in the words zheng shi. Breaking away from metaphors and language used in Shi jing and Chu Ci and traditional symbols, he used descriptive methods in the Erya, Fangyan, and Yiwu Zhi to establish an exact link between words and objects. The world of Zuo Si’s natural philosophy has limits, creating several internal tensions: 1) regionality in Yiwu Zhi and Yang Xiong’s Shu du fu versus grand unified thought in Shang shu-Yu gong, Han shu- Di li zhi depict the tension between geography and politics and 2) the Daoist view of the universe and the subjective and objective view in Zhuang zi and Huai nan zi versus traditional Confucian thought in the Confucian classics and history such as Zuo chuan and Han shu depicts tension between mythology and history. Although San du fu pursues the theme of “The Wei capital is ruled by justice, and benevolent rule makes the people bend,” it does so not by persuasion of the proper way but by inducing the reader with vivid description of the natural world.

        OpenGL-based Virtual Reality System for Building Design

        Virtual reality (VR) technology has been rapidly developed and applied to many aspects of human life, and the building industry is no exception. First, we summarize the working principles of Open Graphics Library (OpenGL) and analyze the characteristics of VR data from the standpoint of the characteristics of buildings. Second, we propose a key technology to combine VR data with relevant software. Finally, we discuss how to present a good exhibition to users, and how to improve the use of VR systems in building design.

        The bifunctional effect of propofol on thromboxane agonist (U46619)-induced vasoconstriction in isolated human pulmonary artery

        Propofol is known to cause vasorelaxation of several systemic vascular beds. However, its effect on the pulmonary vasculature remains controversial. In the present study, we investigated the effects of propofol on human pulmonary arteries obtained from patients who had undergone surgery. Arterial rings were mounted in a Multi-Myograph system for measurement of isometric forces. U46619 was used to induce sustained contraction of the intrapulmonary arteries, and propofol was then applied (in increments from $10-300{\mu}m$). Arteries denuded of endothelium, preincubated or not with indomethacin, were used to investigate the effects of propofol on isolated arteries. Propofol exhibited a bifunctional effect on isolated human pulmonary arteries contracted by U46619, evoking constriction at low concentrations ($10-100{\mu}m$) followed by secondary relaxation (at $100-300{\mu}m$). The extent of constriction induced by propofol was higher in an endothelium-denuded group than in an endothelium-intact group. Preincubation with indomethacin abolished constriction and potentiated relaxation. The maximal relaxation was greater in the endothelium-intact than the endothelium-denuded group. Propofol also suppressed $CaCl_2$-induced constriction in the 60 mM $K^+$-containing $Ca^{2+}$-free solution in a dose-dependent manner. Fluorescent imaging of $Ca^{2+}$ using fluo-4 showed that a 10 min incubation with propofol ($10-300{\mu}m$) inhibited the $Ca^{2+}$ influx into human pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells induced by a 60 mM $K^+$-containing $Ca^{2+}$-free solution. In conclusion, propofol-induced arterial constriction appears to involve prostaglandin production by cyclooxygenase in pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells and the relaxation depends in part on endothelial function, principally on the inhibition of calcium influx through L-type voltage-operated calcium channels.

        Interleaved High Step-Up Boost Converter

        Renewable energy based on photovoltaic systems is beginning to play an important role to supply power to remote areas all over the world. Owing to the lower output voltage of photovoltaic arrays, high gain DC-DC converters with a high efficiency are required in practice. This paper presents a novel interleaved DC-DC boost converter with a high voltage gain, where the input terminal is interlaced in parallel and the output terminal is staggered in series (IPOSB). The IPOSB configuration can reduce input current ripples because two inductors are interlaced in parallel. The double output capacitors are charged in staggered parallel and discharged in series for the load. Therefore, IPOSB can attain a high step-up conversion and a lower output voltage ripple. In addtion, the output voltage can be automatically divided by two capacitors, without the need for extra sharing control methods. At the same time, the voltage stress of the power devices is lowered. The inrush current problem of capacitors is restrained by the inductor when compared with high gain converters with a switching-capacitor structure. The working principle and steady-state characteristics of the converter are analyzed in detail. The correctness of the theoretical analysis is verified by experimental results.
