A novel synthesis of spherical LiFePO4/C composite using Fe1.5P and mixed lithium salts via oxygen permeation

        Gui-Xin Wang,Kangping Yan,Rui Liu,Miao Chen,Hanchang Kang,Xiuli Li 한국화학공학회 2012 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.29 No.8

A novel route was designed to synthesize LiFePO4/C composites by using the Fe1.5P byproduct, mixed lithium salts, and permeated oxygen from air via a rheological phase method. The reaction process was investigated with various techniques. When the calcining time was increased from 10 to 30 h, the gradual formation of olivine structure was observed. The growth kinetics of the crystals was analyzed. SEM and TEM results indicated the as-synthesized LiFePO4 was constituted of small spheres covered with carbon particles. The discharge capacity of the LiFePO4/C composite prepared at ~700 oC for ~25 h could reach 139.7 mAh g−1 and still remained 130.2 mAh g−1 after 15 cycles at 0.2 C rate, comparable to that of the reported LiFePO4/C composite using conventional methods. Cyclic voltammogram confirmed the LiFePO4/C composite had a high purity and good lithium ion insertion/desertion redox behavior.

Preventive Effect of Polysaccharide of Larimichthys crocea Swim Bladder on Reserpine Induced Gastric Ulcer in ICR Mice

        Gui-Jie Li,Peng Sun,Rui Wang,Yalin Zhou,Yu Qian,Xin Zhao 대한약리학회 2014 The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology Vol.18 No.2

This project’s aim was to determine the reserpine-induced gastric ulcer preventive effect of polysaccharideof Larimichthys crocea swim bladder (PLCSB) in ICR mice. The anti-gastric ulcer effectsof polysaccharide of Larimichthys crocea swim bladder was evaluated in mice model using morphologicaltest, serum levels assay, cytokine levels assay, tissue contents analysis, reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) analysis and western bolt assay. High concentration (50mg/kg dose) of PLCSB reduced IFN-γ as compared to low concentration (25 mg/kg dose) and controlmice. SS and VIP serum levels of PLCSB treated mice were higher than those of control mice, andMOT and SP serum levels were lower than control mice. Gastric ulcer inhibitory index of PLCSBtreatment groups mice were much lower than control mice, and the high concentration treated micewere similar to the ranitidine treated mice. The SOD and GSH-Px activities of PLCSB treated micewere higher than control mice, close to normal mice and ranitidine treated mice. PLCSB treated micealso showed the similar contents of NO and MDA to normal group. By RT-PCR and western blot assay,PLCSB significantly induced inflammation in tissues of mice by downregulating NF-κ B, iNOS, andCOX-2, and upregulating IκB-α . These results suggest that PLCSB showed a good gastric ulcerpreventive effect as the gastric ulcer drug of ranitidine. Polysaccharide of Larimichthys crocea swimbladder may be used as a drug material from marine products.

Self-assembled wide bandgap nanocoatings enabled outstanding dielectric characteristics in the sandwich-like structure polymer composites

        Wang Tian-Yu,Li Xiao-Fen,Liu Shu-Ming,Liu Bai-Xin,Liang Xi-Dong,Li Shunning,Zhang Gui-Xin,Liu Jian-Bo,Dang Zhi-Min 나노기술연구협의회 2022 Nano Convergence Vol.9 No.55

Polymer dielectrics are insulators or energy storage materials widely used in electrical and electronic devices. Polymer dielectrics are needed with outstanding dielectric characteristics than current technologies. In this study, the self-assembly of boron nitride nanosheets (BNNSs) was applied to form an inorganic–organic nanocoating on various common polymer dielectrics. It is inexpensive and easy to fabricate this thin coating on a large scale. The coating has a wide bandgap and thus can significantly improve the breakdown strength of polymer dielectrics. The charge characteristics and trapping parameters of nano-domains on the surfaces of polymer dielectrics were measured, and the coating had shallow trap levels. This facilitated the dissipation of surface charges and thus greatly increased the flashover voltage. The coating also effectively improved the temperature stability and dielectric constant of the polymer dielectric. This nanocoating shows potential as a method to effectively improve the dielectric characteristics of polymer dielectrics and outperform existing composite polymer dielectrics, which are crucial for large-scale applications in energy storage and power and electronic devices.

The motion rule of sand particles under control of the sand transportation engineering

        Xin, Lin-gui,Cheng, Jian-jun,Chen, Bo-yu,Wang, Rui Techno-Press 2018 Wind and Structures, An International Journal (WAS Vol.27 No.4

In the desert and Gobi regions with strong wind and large sediment discharge, sand transporting engineering is more effective than sand blocking and sand fixing measures in sand prevention. This study uses the discrete phase model of 3D numerical simulation to study the motion trail, motion state and distribution rule of sand particles with different grain diameters when the included angle between the main shaft of the feather-row lateral transportation sand barrier and the wind direction changes, and conducts a comparison in combination with the wind tunnel test and the flow field rule of common sand barrier. According to the comparison, when wind-sand incoming flow passes through a feather-row sand barrier, sand particles slow down and deposit within the deceleration area under the resistance of the feather-row sand barrier, move along the transportation area formed by the transportation force, and accumulate as a ridge at the tail of the engineering. With increasing wind speed, the eolian erosion of the sand particles to the ground and the feather-row sand barrier is enhanced, and the sand transporting quantity and throw-over quantity of the feather-row sand barrier are both increased. When sand particles with different grain diameters bypass the feather-row sand barrier, the particle size of the infiltrating sands will increase with the included angle between the main shaft of the feather-row sand barrier and the wind direction. The obtained result demonstrates that, at a constant wind speed, the flow field formed is most suitable for the lateral transportation of the wind-drift flow when the included angle between the main shaft of the feather-row sand barrier lateral transportation engineering and the wind speed is less than or equal to $30^{\circ}$.

Comparisons of Shuidouchi, Natto, and Cheonggukjang in Their Physicochemical Properties, and Antimutagenic and Anticancer Effects

        Xin Zhao,Jiale Song,Qiang Wang,Yu Qian,Gui-Jie Li,Liang Pang 한국식품과학회 2013 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.22 No.4

The comparing of shuidouchi, natto, and cheonggukjang were evaluated using physicochemical experiment, Ames test, and in vitro anticancer experiment. Cheonggukjang contained the highest amount of aroma components of amino and ammonia type nitrogens and the lowest amount of γ-glutamyltranspeptidase. Cheonggukjang showed the better sensory qualities than shuidouchi and natto. Three short-term fermented soybean foods were associated with high degree of antimutagenic activities. At a concentration of 2 mg/mL, the growth inhibitory rate of TCA8113 cells treated with cheonggukjang determined by a MTT assay was reduced by 78%; this rate of inhibition was higher than that achieved with shuidouchi (67%) and natto (55%). Cheonggukjang significantly induced apoptosis in cancer cells by upregulating Bax, caspase-3, and caspase-9, and downregulating Bcl-2 by RT-PCR and Western blotting. Our results demonstrated that cheonggukjang had the most potent in vitro anticancer effect, induced apoptosis as well as in terms of physico-chemical properties.

High-Velocity Impact of Carbon/Epoxy Composite Laminates

Zhao, Gui Ping,Wang, Zheng Hao,Zhang, Jian Xin,Cho, Chong Du Trans Tech Publications, Ltd. 2007 Key Engineering Materials Vol.334-335 No.1

The response of Carbon/epoxy composites under high velocity impact was investigated experimentally. The strain rate dependent behavior of T300 Carbon/epoxy matrix composite in tension is studied experimentally by split Hopkinson bar technique. Dynamic stress-strain plot was obtained and compared with the quasi-static tensile test results. The results of the study indicate that Carbon/epoxy composites are strain rate dependent materials. Stacking sequence has a significant effect on the material response. Tensile strength of the composites all increased with increasing strain rate. And failure strain decreased when strain rate increased.
