        In this paper, we propose a new type of gateway system for WWW-Oracle interface. It supports various types of relational queries on the WWW such as join between two tables, one level nested queries, ORDER BY and GROUP BY operations in conditional clause. In addition, an application designer can suggest an access method for a table by query selection with a hint option on the WWW. It causes the Oracle optimizer to chose the specified access path. By this function, an application designer can choose more efficient way than the optimizer can determine. The designer can also check the execution time of the SQL statement on the WWW.

      • 퍼지제어를 이용한 유도전동기 드라이브의 효율 최적화

        Efficiency optimization of an indirect vector controlled induction motor drive is proposed. The loss models are used in the validation of the fuzzy logic based on-line efficiency optimization control. At steady state, the fuzzy controller adaptively changes the excitation current on the basis of measured input power, until the maximum efficiency point is reached. The pulsating torque, due to flux reduction, has been compensated by an ingenious feedforward scheme. During transient state, rated flux is established, to get the best transient response. Through a comprehensive simulation study, the results confirmed the validity of the proposed method.

        GIS와 RS를 이용한 생태지도 작성기법에 관한 기초연구

        본 연구는 낙동강 하구 일대의 생태계 변화와 생태 관련자료를 GIS DB로 구축하고 생태지도를 작성하였다. 생태지도 작성을 위해 1984년 11월 21일, 1997년 5월 17일에 촬영된 공간해상도 30m의 Landsat TM 위성영상과 국립지리원에서 발행된 1:25,000 수치지형도, 부산시에서 조사한 생물현황 자료를 바탕으로 DB를 구축하였다. 생태지도를 작성하기 위해, 첫째, 낙동강 하구 생태계 조사 보고서와 현재까지 진행된 생태지도에 대한 문헌 연구, 둘째, 시계열적 토지피복분류도 제작, 셋째, 동·식물상, 수질 등 생태계 항목별 BB 구축과 3단계 방식에 의한 생태계 평가, 최종적으로는 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 생태계 관리를 위한 생태지도를 작성하였다. This study developed an ecological mapping technique with GIS database using the analyses of existing ecological survey reports and the change detection on the Nakdong river estuary. The data which are used to establish GIS DB include 2 Landsat TM images on Nov. 31, 1984 and May 17, 1997, 1:25, 000 topographical maps established by National Geography Institution and various ecological survey reports published by Busan metropolitan city government. The details for producing ecological map are as follows. At first, the current methods of ecomapping efforts and previous ecological surveys of Nakdong river estuary were carefully examined. Secondly, the land cover maps were created from the classified Landsat images of 1984 and 1997 for the spatiotemporal ecosystem analysis. Thirdly, the ecosystem was evaluated by using GIS ecological database based on the criteria of botany, zoology and water quality etc. Each criteria was reclassified into 3 stages which describe the overall quality of ecological condition. At last, the comprehensive ecological map was suggested as a prototype of ecosystem assesment and management tool with the discussion of further study. The findings of this study would be a milestone for preserving and managing the ecosystem.

      • In situ hybridization과 염색체 미세해부에 의한 특정 염색체 띠에 대한 유전자 발굴

        Recently surmountable amounts of genes are being cloned but it is hard to define the chromosomal location and functions of these genes. In this study, a new technique was developed for cloning genes expressed in the developing human brain with confirmed chromosomal location. The mRNAs were extracted from 18 week old human fetal brain, cDNAs were made by reverse transcription from these mRNAs and Uni-amp cDNAs having Uni-amp adapters a t both ends were made for subsequent PCR. To observe the distribution of the Uni-amp cDNAs on the chromosome, fluorescent in situ hybridization was performed with biotin labeled Uni-amp cDNAs. Among the chromosome bands showing strong hybridization with the cDNAs, lq21, lq25, lq32 and lq42 were microdissected from the chromosome hybridized with unlabeled Uni-amp cDNAs and amplified by PCR with Uni-amp primers. These amplified cDNA fragments were subcloned to plasmid vectors and the nucleic acid sequences were analysed. As a result 18 different clones were confirmed the chromosomal localization. They were categorized as 4 clones of well characterized genes, 3 clones showing low homology with known genes, 5 clones of simply registered uncharacterized human cDNAs, and 6 clones of unknown genes. The evidence suggests that the technique is very useful to clone the genes that express in the developing human brain, with confirmed chromosomal location. In addition, this cloning technique can be used to discover the new genes related with neuronal development in combination with functional screening method.

      • 엽수 및 줄기수 제한이 무등산수박의 생장 및 과실품질에 미치는 영향

        본 실험은 무등산에서 재배되어온 지역 특산물인 무등산수박의 생장촉진과 과실품질의 개선을 위하여 1996년 7월 2일에 해발 10, 150 및 500m인 지대에 정식하여 엽수 및 줄기수를 제한하여 표고별로 재배한 결과는 다음과 같다. 본 실험의 처리 범위내에서는 엽수를 증가시킬수록 방임구보다 당도가 현저히 증가하였으며, 줄기수도 많을수록 당도, 과중, 과고 및 과경이 높아지는 경향이었다. 그리고 표고가 상승함에 따라 온도, 습도 환경에 큰 차이가 나타났고 과실크기, 당도 및 감미 등이 향상되었고 과피두께도 두꺼웠다. 과육부위별 당도의 분포를 보면 무등산수박은 중심부와 종자사이의 부분이 가장 높았고, 과육심부에서 화흔방향이 과병방향보다 더 높았으며 과병, 화흔 및 과피방향으로 갈수록 당도는 낮았다. This study was carried out to promote plant growth and fruit quality of Mudeungsan Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus (Thunb.) Mansf. cv.) by restricting leaf and stem numbers. Seedlings were transplanted to diferent elevations of Mt. Mudeungsan range at 10, 150 and 500 meters above sea level on July 2, 1996. Leaf number was restricted to 20, 23, 25, 28 and 31 and stem number to 1, 2 and 3 along with control, replicated three times. The growth characteristics and fruit quality were recorded and analyzed. Substantial differences in both growth characteristics and fruit quality were found among different elevations. At the site 500m above sea level, soluble solid content, fruit weight, fruit shape index, fruit flesh quality and flavor were improved as the leaf number increased excluding control. At the site 150m above sea level, soluble solid content, fruit weight and flavor also increased as the stem number increased. As the cultural site was higher above sea level, fluctuation in temperature and relative humidity became greater, which might have improved fruit quality in terms of size, soluble solid content and pericarp thickness. Soluble solid content in a fruit of Mudeungsan Watermelon was highest in the center followed by in the order of blossom end and stem end.

        An accurate loss model of induction motor drive controlled by the converter is proposed. Steady state fundamental and hamonics loss characteristics, besides the dynamics of the machine are analyzed and incorporated in the model, resulting in a new synchronous frame dynamics d-q equivalent circuit. The converter system has been modeled accurately for condition and switching losses.

      • 토란의 황화경으로부터 캘러스 형성 및 식물체 재생

        토란의 기지 shoot를 암배양하여 절간이 신장한 황하경을 얻고 이황하경의 절편을 계대배양하여 기내증식을 시도하였다. 황하경은 NAA 0.2mg/ℓ가 첨가된 배지에서 가장 길게 신장하였다. 황하경은 자구형성형이 모구배대형보다 길게 신장하였다. 호르몬이 첨가된 거의 모든 배지에서 protocorm이 형성되었으나 0.2mg/ℓ NAA + 0.2mg/ℓ BA를 첨가한 배지에서 특히 많이 형성되었고 이 protocorm을 MS기본 배지에 옮겼을 때 8.5%의 재분화율을 보였다. Etiolated stems with elongated internodes were obtained from the in vitro culture of shoots of Colocasia esculenta schout under dark condition and plant differntiation was achived by subculturing the ethiolated stem segments. The etiolated stems elongates better on the media containing 0.2mg/ℓNAA than of those lacking it. Subculture of the etiolated stem segments produced protocorm-like structures in all the media examined. The medium containing 0.2mg/ℓNAA and 0.2mg/ℓBA produced the higest number of protocorm-like structure, which regenerated into plantets at 85% when transferred to phytohormone-free MS medium.

        We investigated the atomic structure and the density of state of the rearrangered GaAs(001) surface from the surface layer to the third layer. The geometry is calculated by the energy minimization by the described formula. The result is that displacement of the first layer is asymmetric with no twist, the dimer angle is about 7˚.

        유지놀 처리된 상아질 표면의 상아질 접착제의 전단결합강도에 관한 연구

        In this study, shear bond strength of two bonding systems were measured and appearance of dentin surfaces were observed with SEM according to the storage time of eugenol on dentin surface, thus evaluated the effect of eugenol on bond strength of two dentin bonding systems. Control groups were directly bonded to dentin surface with One Step, Prime & Bond 2.1. Experimental groups were divided into experimental I and II according to dentin bonding agents. After eugenol application, dentin surfaces were bonded with One Step and Prime & Bond 2.1 according to the each storage time of immediately, 3min, 24hour, 48hour and 1week, and then control and experimental groups were filled with light cured composite resin(Z-100). After 24 hours water storage at 37℃, all samples were subjected to a shear load to fracture at a cross head 1.0mm/min with Instron universal testing machine(No. 4467) . Etched dentin surface storaged for each time of immediately, 3min, 24hour, 48hour and 1week after eugenol application were observed under Scanning Electron Microscope(Hitachi S-2300) at 20kvp. The data were evaluated statistically with two-way ANOVA and Tukey's HSD. The results were as follows; 1.Shear bond strengths were higher in control groups than in the experimental groups. 2.As storage time was increased after eugenol application, the shear bond strengths were decreased in experimental groups 3.In experimental I, II the shear bond strengths were the lowest in which storage time was 1week after eugenol application. 4.As storage time was increased after eugenol application, etched dentin surfaces showed obstructed dentinal tubule.
