기술의 발전으로 인한 현대 사회의 변화의 중심에는 통신 기술의 발전이 있다. 특히 5G라고 불리는 5세대 이동통신 기술 ‘IMT’ 는 초고속, 초저지연, 초연결이라는 특성으로 방송 시스템에 광범위한 영향을 미친다. 본 논문은 5G 네트워크가 방송 시스템에 미치는 영향을 대역폭과 주파수 할당, RF 간섭, 스트리밍 서비스와 시청 습관의 변화, 가상현실(VR)과 증강현실(AR), 보안과 프라이버시, 생산과 전송비용 측면의 6가지로 나누어 분석하고 비교한다.

The present study aimed to explore natural substances as an alternative to antibiotics that result in adverse effects, such as reduced counts of essential lactic acid bacteria in the vagina and compromised vaginal function. For this purpose, Rheum palmatum L. methanol extracts were used to separate substances that do not inhibit lactic acid production in the vagina while inhibiting the pathogens causing vaginitis using different methods used in previous studies. Extraction was performed to separate the substance in the R. palmatum L. methanol extract with antibacterial activity against pathogens causing vaginitis. The maximum antibacterial substance was detected in the ethyl acetate layer extract on TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography). Fractionation by silica gel column chromatography to separate the antibacterial substance from the R. palmatum L. ethyl acetate layer extract revealed that fraction 4 had the maximum antibacterial substance. In addition, on analyzing fraction 4 using HPLC, two peaks were identified and separated at Rt 12.372 and Rt 13.44 min, with peak purities of 82.8% and 92.9%, respectively. After concentrating the fractions from both the peaks to 10 mg/mL, their antibacterial activity was tested against pathogens causing vaginitis and a beneficial strain found in the vagina. Inhibitory zones of 7 mm and 6.5 mm against Sphingomonas paucimobilis KCTC 2834 and Proteus mirabilis KCTC 2510, respectively, were identified. No antibacterial activity was found against the vaginal strain Lactobacillus coleohominis KCTC 21007.

Background The Korean Society of Hypertension has published the Korea Hypertension Fact Sheet 2022 to provide an overview of the magnitude and management status of hypertension and their recent trends. Methods The Fact Sheets were based on the analyses of Korean adults aged 20 years or older of the 1998–2020 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey and the 2002–2020 National Health Insurance Big Data. Results As of 2020, 29.4% of the adult population aged 20 or older in Korea, about 12.6 million people, have high blood pressure, of which 5.0 million (40%) are 65 years of age or older and 1.2 million (10%) are 80 years of age or older. Among those with hypertension, the awareness rate is 69%, the treatment rate is 65%, and the control rate is 47%. The number of people diagnosed with hypertension increased from 3.0 million in 2002 to 10.5 million in 2020. During the same period, the number of people using antihypertensive medication increased from 2.5 million to 9.9 million, and the number of people adherent to treatment increased from 0.6 million to 7.4 million. Among those treated for hypertension in 2020, 74% used angiotensin blockers, 61% used calcium channel blockers, 24% used diuretics, and 15% used beta blockers. Combination therapy with at least two classes of antihypertensive medication consisted of 60% of all antihypertensive prescriptions. The number of people with hypertension aged 65 or older is increasing very rapidly compared to those aged 20–64. Awareness and treatment rates of hypertension improved rapidly, especially in those aged 65 or older, but the rate of improvement slowed since 2012. Conclusions In Korea, the level of hypertension management is improving, but the absolute number of people with hypertension, especially elderly hypertension, is increasing due to the rapid aging of the population. It is necessary to develop more efficient and target-specific policies to control blood pressure and prevent cardiovascular disease.
Ku대역 모노펄스 위성추적을 위한 동축구조 도파관 고차모드 커플러 설계

본 논문은 Ku대역 모노펄스 위성추적을 위한 동축구조 도파관 고차모드 커플러를 제안하였다. 제안된 고차모드 커플러는 이동체 탑재용 위성추적시스템에 적용 가능하도록 소형/경량화를 위하여 동축구조의 도파관을 이용하였다. 기본모드 신호 추출을 위해 내측 원형도파관을 이용하였고, 고차모드 신호 추출을 위해 외측 원형도파관에 내어진 4개의 슬롯과 스텝 구조의 직사각형 도파관을 이용하였다. 제안된 고차모드 커플러의 모의실험 결과는 반사손실 및 삽입손실이 약 250 MHz의 대역폭(12.75∼13.00 GHz)을 만족하며, 모노펄스 추적에 적용 가능한 기본모드 패턴 및 고차모드 패턴이 만족스럽게 생성된 결과를 확인하였다. 제안된 Ku대역 동축구조 도파관 고차모드 커플러는 고속 정밀추적이 요구되는 모노펄스 위성추적시스템에 이용될 것으로 기대된다. In this paper, a higher-order mode coupler using coaxial-structure waveguide for Ku-band monopulse satellite tracking is proposed. The proposed higher-order mode coupler is built in a coaxial structure for compactness and weight reduction, making it suitable for mobile tracking systems. The inner circular waveguide of coaxial-structure is used to extract the fundamental mode signal and the high-order mode signal is extracted from the four slots of the outer circular waveguide and then transmitted via given stepped rectangular waveguide structure. The simulated results show that proposed higher-order mode coupler covers 250 MHz(12.75 GHz ~ 13.00 GHz) bandwidth with return loss and insertion loss characteristics. The antenna patterns of fundamental mode and higher-order mode applicable to monopulse tracking are generated successfully. Designed higher-order mode coupler using coaxial waveguide structure for Ku-band is expected to be used for high precision monopulse satellite tracking systems.

<P><B>Background and Objectives</B></P><P>The study investigated the effect of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) or fibrin glue on tunnel widening after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction compared with biologic free control without any biologic agents in the rabbit model.</P><P><B>Methods and Results</B></P><P>ACL reconstructions were performed in 18 New Zealand white rabbits. All animals were divided into 3 groups according to the following reconstruction conditions and euthanized 12 weeks postoperatively for radiologic and histologic analyses. Thirty-two knees (control group=10; fibrin group=11; MSCs group=11) were finally evaluated. On micro-CT scan, mean femoral tunnel widening on oblique-sagittal image was 0.7±0.4 mm in the control group, 0.22±0.1 mm in the fibrin group and 0.25±0.1 mm in the MSCs group (p=0.001). Fibrin group and MSCs group showed significant differences compared with control group (p=0.002, 0.002). Mean tibial tunnel widening on oblique-sagittal image was 0.76±0.5 mm, 0.27±0.1 mm and 0.29±0.2 mm in the control, fibrin and MSCs group. Fibrin and MSCs group showed significant differences compared with control group (p=0.017, 0.014). Hounsfield Units (HU) were not significantly different between 3 groups (p>0.05). Histological analysis revealed that the architecture of graft in the MSCs group featured hypercellularity and compact collagen deposit.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>ACL reconstruction using MSCs seemed decrease tunnel widening in rabbit model. Further study with large animals is required to confirm efficacy on decreasing tunnel widening.</P>
