A small survey was performed to investigate the recent infection status of Clonorchis sinensis and other zoo- notic trematode metacercariae in freshwater fish from a local market of Yen Bai city, Yen Bai province, northern Vietnam. A total of 118 fish in 7 species were examined by the artificial digestion method on March 2016. The metacercariae of 4 species of zoonotic trematodes, i.e., C. sinensis, Haplorchis pumilio, Haplorchis taichui, and Centrocestus formosanus, were detected. The metacercariae of C. sinensis were found in 62 (69.7%) out of 89 fish (5 species), and their intensity of infection was very high, 81.2 per fish infected. Prevalences of 3 intestinal flukes, H. pumilio, H. taichui and C. formosanus, were 75.0%, 47.6%, and 31.7% in positive fish species, respectively, with the metacercarial intensities of 15.5, 10.3, and 2.2 per fish infected. From the above results, it has been confirmed that various species of freshwater fish continue to play the role of the infection source of C. sinensis and other zoonotic trematodes in Yen Bai city, Yen Bai province, north- ern Vietnam. It is of particular note that the prevalence and intensity of C. sinensis metacercariae are much higher than those reported in previous studies in fish in northern Vietnam.
A Dynamic Accuracy Estimation for GPU-based Monte Carlo Simulation in Tissue Optics
Fuhong Cai,Wen Lu 한국광학회 2017 Current Optics and Photonics Vol.1 No.5
Tissue optics is a well-established and extensively studied area. In the last decades, Monte Carlosimulation (MCS) has been one of the standard tools for simulation of light propagation in turbid media. The utilization of parallel processing exhibits dramatic increase in the speed of MCS’s of photon migration. Some calculations based on MCS can be completed within a few seconds. Since the MCS’s have thepotential to become a real time calculation method, a dynamic accuracy estimation, which is also knownas history by history statistical estimators, is required in the simulation code to automatically terminatethe MCS as the results’ accuracy achieves a high enough level. In this work, spatial and time-domainGPU-based MCS, adopting the dynamic accuracy estimation, are performed to calculate the lightdose/reflectance in homogeneous and heterogeneous tissue media. This dynamic accuracy estimation caneffectively derive the statistical error of optical dose/reflectance during the parallel Monte Carlo process.
Novel Pre-pushing & Downloading Model in Mobile Peer-assisted Streaming Network
( Fuhong Lin ),( Xianewi Zhou ),( Changjia Chen ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2013 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.7 No.12
The popularization of streaming networks and mobile devices brings a new kind of network called mobile peer-assisted streaming network. In this network, service provider not only offers downloading services, but also pre-pushes resources to users for caching. Users can download their demanded resources while working as servers for uploading the cached data. Also the mobile characteristic makes high package losing probability in this network. So we study how the service provider pre-pushes or the user downloads resources efficiently and effectively while considering the package losing in this paper. We build utility models for service provider and user, and solve the models using Bellman`s theory to achieve Nash Equilibrium which shows the service provider`s optimal pre-pushing speed and user`s optimal downloading speed. The numerical simulation demonstrates the efficiency and effectiveness of our proposed pre-pushing and downloading scheme by comparing to the traditional scheme.
Service Scheduling in Cloud Computing based on Queuing Game Model
( Fuhong Lin ),( Xianwei Zhou ),( Daochao Huang ),( Wei Song ),( Dongsheng Han ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2014 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.8 No.5
Cloud Computing allows application providers seamlessly scaling their services and enables users scaling their usage according to their needs. In this paper, using queuing game model, we present service scheduling schemes which are used in software as a service (SaaS). The object is maximizing the Cloud Computing platform`s (CCP`s) payoff via controlling the service requests whether to join or balk, and controlling the value of CCP`s admission fee. Firstly, we treat the CCP as one virtual machine (VM) and analyze the optimal queue length with a fixed admission fee distribution. If the position number of a new service request is bigger than the optimal queue length, it balks. Otherwise, it joins in. Under this scheme, the CCP`s payoff can be maximized. Secondly, we extend this achievement to the multiple VMs situation. A big difference between single VM and multiple VMs is that the latter one needs to decide which VM the service requests turn to for service. We use a corresponding algorithm solve it. Simulation results demonstrate the good performance of our schemes.

Clonorchis sinensis is a carcinogenic human liver fluke that promotes hepatic inflammatory environments via direct contact or through their excretory-secretory products (ESPs), subsequently leading to cholangitis, periductal fibro- sis, liver cirrhosis, and even cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). This study was conducted to examine the host inflammatory re- sponses to C. sinensis ESPs and their putative protein components selected from C. sinensis expressed sequenced tag (EST) pool databases, including TGF-β receptor interacting protein 1(CsTRIP1), legumain (CsLeg), and growth factor binding protein 2 (CsGrb2). Treatment of CCA cells (HuCCT1) with the ESPs or bacterial recombinant C. sinensis proteins differentially promoted the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α) as well as anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-10, TGF-β1, and TGF-β2) in a time-dependent manner. In particular, recombinant C. sinensis protein treat- ment resulted in increase (at maximum) of ~7-fold in TGF-β1, ~30-fold in TGF-β2, and ~3-fold in TNF-α compared with the increase produced by ESPs, indicating that CsTrip1, CsLeg, and CsGrb2 function as strong inducers for secretion of these cytokines in host cells. These results suggest that C. sinensis ESPs contribute to the immunopathological response in host cells, leading to clonorchiasis-associated hepatobiliary abnormalities of greater severity.
