      • All-carbon-based cathode for a true high-energy-density Li-O<sub>2</sub> battery

        <P>Li-O-2 batteries have a high theoretical energy density; however, their current cathode system based on a heavy metal framework strikingly diminishes their real energy density. Herein, we report the fabrication of all-carbon-based cathodes composed of conventional active carbon and a carbon mesh (CM) framework produced from waste silk fabric by simple pyrolysis. CM frameworks show a high electrical conductivity of similar to 150 S cm(-1), good tensile strength of 34.1 +/- 5.2 MPa, and a Young's modulus of 4.03 +/- 0.7 GPa, as well as a well-ventilated ordered macroporous structure. These all-carbon-based cathodes exhibit stable cycling and high energy densities of similar to 2600 Wh kg(-1) based on total electrode weight, which are 4-15 times higher than those of conventional air cathodes.       • 남성화를 보이는 여성에서 발견된 난소의 Steroid Cell Tumor 1예

        Steroid cell tumor is a rare ovarian sex cord-stromal tumor which accounts for 0.1% of all ovarian tumors. Until now, only 4 cases have been reported in domestic literatures. Steroid cell tumor often secrets testosterone and presents virilization in adult women or precocious puberty in children. Treatment is often performed by surgical removal, adjuvant chemotherapy and radiation, but completely accepted treatment was not existed. We experienced a case of steroid cell tumor, which was manifested by typical virilization in a 43-year old patient, who was previously performed hysterectomy and unilateral oophorectomy. So, we present with a brief review of the literatures.

        모터구동 밸브 주기적 안전성 확인을 위한 중요도 분류

        Safety-related motor operated valve(MOV) safety significance for Ulchin Unit 3 was categorized. The safety evaluation of MOV of domestic power plants affects the generic data used for the quantification of MOV common cause failure(CCF) events in Ulchin Units 3&4 PSA> Therefore, in this paper, MGL(multiple greek letter) parameter β, used for the evaluation of MOV CCF probabilities in Ulchin Units 3&4 probabilistic safety assessment(PSA), was re-estimated and the MOV safety significance was categorized. The re-estimation results of MGL parameter show that the value of(is decreased by 30% compared with the current value used in Ulchin Unit 3&4 PSA. The categorization results of MOV safety significance using the changed value of MGL parameter(show that the number of HSSCs(high safety significant components) is decreased by 54.5% compared with those using the current value of it used in Ulchin Units 3&4 PSA>

        이 논문은 정부에서 중점 육성하고자 하는 30대 정보통신핵심분야에 대한 기술 및 시장전망을 토대로 기술개발 핵심분야와 경쟁력 확보분야로 나누어서 유망 수출품목을 선정하고, 각 품목에 대한 유망시장 탐색 및 진출전략을 살펴보려는 것을 주요 내용으로 삼는다. The confluence of information and telecommunications technologies is creating explosive changes in the various of industries. Since some major industries in information and telecommunication areas have boosted up the national economic growth, it is needed to identify such industries being supported for improving competitiveness. In this paper, we consider an evaluation model to identify some major industries in information and telecommunication areas by using DEA. Applying the model, we can obtain the relative efficiency, we can select several major industries among alternative ones for improving their competitiveness by some effective strategies. Recent advances in information technologies have paved the way for an explosive growth in the area of information and telecommunication industries. Since some major industries in information and telecommunication areas have boosted up the national economic growth, it is needed to identify such industries being supported for improving competitiveness. In this paper, we consider an evaluation model to identify some major industries in information and telecommunication areas by using DEA. Applying the model, we can obtain the relative efficiency of each one among alternative from the relative efficiency, we can select several major industries among alternative ones for improving their competitiveness by some effective strategies.

        공초점 원리를 이용한 3차원 표면형상 측정에 관한 연구

        근대 산업에서 기계 부품들의 정밀도와 표면 마무리 조건은 그 어느 때보다 더 절박하게 요구되고 있는 가운데, 표면 형상의 측정과 이해는 공학 기술자뿐만 아니라 물리학자나 화학자도 높은 관심을 갖게 되었다. 이런 상황에서 광학적 측정 방법은 opto-mechatronics의 이점을 가지고 진동 측정이나 균열, 결함의 검출 등의 분야에서 유용한 측정 방법으로 사용되고 있고, 표면 형상학의 분야에서 다시 한 번 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대를 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 공초점 현미경의 원리에 대해 서술하였고, 기존의 스캔 방식 공초점 현미경보다 한 차원 개선된 3차원 표면형상 측정 시스템을 개발하였다. 그리고, 표면의 기하적인 형상에 대한 정보를 얻고 그 형상을 가시화하기 위해 컴퓨터 시스템과 통합하고 그에 필요한 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. In modern industry, the accuracy and the surface-finish requirements for machined parts have been becoming ever more stringent. In addition, the measurement and understanding of surface topography is rapidly attracting the attention of the physicist and chemist as well as the engineer. Optical measuring method is used in vibration measurement, crack and defect detection with the advent of opto-mechatronics, and it is expected to play an important role in surface topography. In this study, the principle of confocal microscope is described, and the advanced 3-D surface measuring system that has better performance than the traditional confocal microscope is developed. Suitable fixtures are developed and integrated with the computer system for generating 3-D surface and form data. Software for data acquistion and analysis of various parameters in surface geometrical features has been developed.

      • RT-LAMP를 이용한 콩황화일반모자이크바이러스의 진단

        Soybean yellow common mosaic virus (SYCMV) has been recently reported, it has been occurred a lot with Soybean mosaic virus (SMV) and Soybean yellow mottle mosaic virus (SYMMV) in soybean field. SYCMV belongs to genus of Sobemovirus and induced viral symptoms with yellowing, mottle and mosaic. A reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) method allowed one-step detection of gene amplification by simple procedure and needed only a simple incubator for isothermal template. This RT-LAMP method allowed direct detection of RNA from virus-infected plants without thermal cycling and gel electrophoresis. In this study, we designed RT-LAMP primers named SYCML-F3/B3/FIP/BIP from coat protein gene sequence of SYCMV. After the reaction of RTLAMP, products were identified by electrophoresis and with the detective fluorescent dye, SYBR Green I. under daylight and UV light. Optimal reaction condition was at 63 for 60min and the primers of RTLAMP showed the specificity for only SYCMV tested in this study.

      • GOS가 장내 Bifidobacteria의 생육촉진에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        We investigated the growth effect of various sugars on the principal intestinal microorganisms which were Bifidobacteria, Lactobacilli, Streptococci, Clostridia, Escherichia, Eubacteria, and Staphylococci. Those microorganisms were cultivated on media containing various sugars. The sugars were grouped into A, B, and C. Group A consisted of sugars extracted by water, 5%, 15%, 30%, and 40%, EtOH, respectively. Group B were galactooligosaccharide(GOS), fructooligosaccharide(FOS), isomaltooligosaccharide(IMO), and xylooligosaccharide( XOS). Group C were LOS, SOS, and LSOS. Bif. adolescentis, Bif. bifidum, Bif. infantis, Bif. longum, and Str. faecalis grew well on the media containing sugars of each A, B, and C group, while C. butyricurm, S. aureus, Eu. limosum, and E. coli did not. The results indicated that oligosaccharides of A, B, and C group were consumed effectively by Bifidobacterium spp. but not utilized by other intestinal microorganisms. Oligosaccharides of each A, B, and C group promoted selectively the growth of Bif. infantis and Bif. longum in the human intestinal microflora.

      • 食品工場廢水의 活性汚泥處理中 오존에 依한 酸化分解效果

        잔류염소를 함유한 發水를 活性汚泥에 의한 處理效率을 增加시키기 위하여 전압 100Volt, 유속 10ℓ-air/min, 0.8g-O₃/hr의 오존으로 처리했을때 COD의 除去效果및 투과율의 變化를 實驗한 結果를 要約하면 다음과 같다. 1. 잔류염소를 함유한 시료를 0.8g-O₃/hr의 오존으로 處理하였을때 pH의 變化 및 反應時間에 의한 COD의 除去率은 中性溶液(pH=7.2)에서 오존處理時間 50分 후 35%의 除去效果를 나타내어 酸性溶液(pH=3.2)의 20%, 알칼리性溶液(pH=12.0)의 10%의 除去效果보다 좋았다. 2. 잔류염소를 함유한 試料를 오존으로 50分間 處理하여 F/M比 0.1㎏·BOD/㎏·MLSS로 한 후 3. 6. 9 및 15時間 活性汚泥로 反應시켰을 때 反應時間 6時間 후 85.8%의 COD의 除去效果가 있어 티오황산나트륨(Na₂S₂O₃)으로 處理한 試料의 除去率 60.5%보다 좋았으며, 反應時間의 단축효과도 있었다. 3. Polyphenol色素 等 暗褐色을 띄는 試料를 酸性, 中性, 알칼리性 溶液으로 하여 오존으로 50分間 處理하였을 때 투과율이 30~40%에서 70% 以上 상승하였으며 알칼리성溶液에서가 투과율이 더 좋았다. For the increase of treatment efficiency when waste water which included residual chlorine was biologically treated with activated sludge, elimination efficiency of COD and change of transmittance by activated sludge method were examined after the treatment of residual chlorine with ozone of 100 volt and 10ℓ-air/min., 0.8g-O₃/hr. in velocity. The results were as follows. 1) When the sample which included residual chlorine was treated with ozone of 0.8g-O₃/hr., COD removal rate by the change of pH and ozonization time was more efficient than acidity solution of pH 3.2(20%) and alkaline solution of pH 12.0(10%). Since the COD removal rate become 35% after 50 minutes of ozonization time at neutral solution of pH 7.2. 2) After the residual chlorine included sample was treated with ozone for 50 minutes to make the F/M rate of 0.1㎏·BOD/㎏·MLSS, the sample was reacted with activated sludge for 3, 6, 9 and 15 hours. The 6 hours reaction gave 85.8% COD elimination which showed higher efficiency than 60.5% by Na₂S₂O₂ treatment togather with shorting efficiency of reaction time. 3) When such sample as polyphenol which gives dark brown color was treated with ozone for 50 minutes after being made into acidic, neutral and alkaline solution, the transmittance increased from 30-40% to 70% and gave better result in alkaline solution.

      • 위 선암 조직에서p53단백 발현에 관한 면역조직화학적 연구

        Authors studied the overexpression of p53 in 54 gastric cancer patients underwent operations at Chungnam National University hospital from Jan. 1994 to june 1995 by immunohistochemical staining. Overall overexpression rate was 53.7%. Subjects above 57years of age (72.4%) and intestinal type subjects (77.2%) using Lauren classification were correlated with p53 overexpression. Other clinicopathologic parameters including tumor invasion depth, size, sex, type and lymphnode metastasis were not related to p53 overexpression. However, the advanced gastric carcinoma group (60.5%) and lymphnode metastasis group (64.5%) showed higher incidence of p53 overexpression than early gastric carcinoma group (27.2%) and no lymphnode metastasis group (39.1%). We concluded that p53 mutation seem to play a role in oncogenesis only in the intestinal type of gastric carcinomas.
