The objectives of this study are to examine a structural model explaining the behavioral intentions of passengers to accept the service, and to test the effect of cultural difference on kiosk use. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect the sampled data and 248 usable surveys were collected: To test a proposed model, a multi-group analysis of metric invariance and concurrent cross validation tests were performed on the two cultural groups obtained from a k-mean cluster analysis. The study findings indicate that metric invariance was fully supported while concurrent cross validation proved that only two paths are slightly different cross culture. All paths in the structural models were significant except two paths in the CUA model (TR → PU & PE → AKU). In addition, the variance accounted for behavioral intention was slightly larger in the CUA sample relative to the IUA sample. The study discusses the theoretical and practical implications of the findings.

This paper discusses the sharing economy's global expansion, highlighting its disruptive influence on traditional economic structures across various sectors. Focusing on accommodation sharing, the study critically examines the existing regulatory frameworks and their shortcomings, using Korea and four overseas cities (San Francisco, New York, Paris, and Amsterdam) as primary cases. This study also analyzed the legal status of workers who operate as suppliers through intermediary platforms in the sharing economy, specifically focusing on whether these workers should be viewed as independent contractors or employees of the platform companies It notes the cultural resonance of the sharing economy and underscores the challenges faced by the Korean government in crafting effective regulations. The research seeks to fill this gap by examining accommodation-sharing regulations in major international cities and Korea. The paper concludes with the call for contextually nuanced, adaptive, and ethically informed regulatory frameworks, underlining the importance of co-regulation and localized strategies in governing the sharing economy.
Hydrogen Passivation of Impurities in Al2O3

<P>Carbon and nitrogen are contaminant impurities in Al2O3 dielectrics grown by atomic layer deposition, leading to deleterious effects in device performance. We investigate whether these impurities can be passivated using hydrogen. The role of atomic hydrogen in the electronic properties is addressed by examining formation energies and charge-state transition levels of C-H and N-H complexes. Combined with calculated band alignment, we then assess the impact on Al2O3/semiconductor interfaces. We find that hydrogen is indeed an effective passivating agent: it removes carbon-related carrier traps and passivates negative fixed charge associated with nitrogen.</P>

This study evaluated the effects of supplementing solubles from shredded, steam-exploded pine particles (SSPP) on growth performances, plasma biochemicals, and microbial composition in broilers. The birds were reared for 28 days and fed basal diets with or without the inclusion of SSPP from 8 days old. There were a total of three dietary treatments supplemented with 0% (0% SSPP), 0.1% (0.1% SSPP) and 0.4% (0.4% SSPP) SSPP in basal diets. Supplementation of SSPP did not significantly affect growth or plasma biochemicals, but there was a clear indication of diet-induced microbial shifts. Beta-diversity analysis revealed SSPP supplementation-related clustering (ANOSIM: r = 0.31, p < 0.01), with an overall lower (PERMDISP: p < 0.05) individual dispersion in comparison to the control group. In addition, the proportions of the Bacteroides were increased, and the relative abundances of the families Vallitaleaceae, Defluviitaleaceae, Clostridiaceae, and the genera Butyricicoccus and Anaerofilum (p < 0.05) were significantly higher in the 0.4% SSPP group than in the control group. Furthermore, the linear discriminant analysis effect size (LEfSe) also showed that beneficial bacteria such as Ruminococcus albus and Butyricicoccus pullicaecorum were identified as microbial biomarkers of dietary SSPP inclusion (p < 0.05; | LDA effect size | > 2.0). Finally, network analysis showed that strong positive correlations were established among microbial species belonging to the class Clostridia, whereas Erysipelotrichia and Bacteroidia were mostly negatively correlated with Clostridia. Taken together, the results suggested that SSPP supplementation modulates the cecal microbial composition of broilers toward a “healthier” profile.
