메탈핼라이드 램프용 조도제어형 자기식 안정기의 최적 설계 방법
박종연,이현진 江原大學校 産業技術硏究所 2009 産業技術硏究 Vol.29 No.A
The inductor which is used at low frequency as the main part of magnetic ballast consists of an iron core, a bobbin and coil. The conventional inductor design method is not suitable for the magnetic ballast because it has various variables and is not a unique method for the magnetic ballast. Thus, this paper presents the optimal design method for a lamination type inductor using a magnetic ballast for Metal Halide Lamps. Also, the optimal inductor design method is researched for inductors of dimming ballasts and ignitors that have a gate-triggered structure using a SCR thyristor. By the simulation and experimental results, we showed that the proposed design methods is valid.

<P>Two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) at the complex oxide interfaces have brought about considerable interest for the application of the next-generation multifunctional oxide electronics due to the exotic properties that do not exist in the bulk. In this study, we report the integration of 2DEG into the nonvolatile resistance switching cell as a bottom electrode, where the metal–insulator transition of 2DEG by an external field serves to significantly reduce the OFF-state leakage current while enhancing the on/off ratio. Using the Pt/Ta2O5–<I>y</I>/Ta2O5–<I>x</I>/SrTiO3 heterostructure as a model system, we demonstrate the nonvolatile resistance switching memory cell with a large on/off ratio (>106) and a low leakage current at the OFF state (∼10–13 A). Beyond exploring nonvolatile memory, our work also provides an excellent framework for exploring the fundamental understanding of novel physics in which electronic and ionic processes are coupled in the complex heterostructures.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/aamick/2014/aamick.2014.6.issue-20/am504354c/production/images/medium/am-2014-04354c_0004.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/am504354c'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>

Background and Objectives: Although complete revascularization is known superior to incomplete revascularization in ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients with multi-vessel coronary artery disease (MVCD), there are no definite instructions on the optimal timing of non-culprit lesions percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). We compared 1-year clinical outcomes between 2 different complete multi-vessel revascularization strategies. Methods: From the Korea Acute Myocardial Infarction Registry-National Institute of Health, 606 patients with STEMI and MVCD who underwent complete revascularization were enrolled from November 2011 to December 2015. The patients were assigned to multi-vessel single-staged PCI (SS PCI) group (n=254) or multi-vessel multi-staged PCI (MS PCI) group (n=352). Propensity score matched 1-year clinical outcomes were compared between the groups. Results: At one year, MS PCI showed a significantly lower rate of all-cause mortality (hazard ratio [HR], 0.42; 95% confidential interval [CI], 0.19–0.92; p=0.030) compared with SS PCI. In subgroup analysis, all-cause mortality increased in SS PCI with cardiogenic shock (HR, 4.60; 95% CI, 1.54–13.77; p=0.006), age ≥65 years (HR, 4.00; 95% CI, 1.67–9.58, p=0.002), Killip class III/IV (HR, 7.32; 95% CI, 1.68–31.87; p=0.008), and creatinine clearance ≤60 mL/min (HR, 2.81; 95% CI, 1.10–7.18; p=0.031). After propensity score-matching, MS PCI showed a significantly lower risk of major adverse cardiovascular event than SS PCI. Conclusions: SS PCI was associated with worse clinical outcomes compared with MS PCI. MS PCI for non-infarct-related artery could be a better option for patients with STEMI and MVCD, especially high-risk patients.

Induction of Quinone Reductase, an Anticarcinogenic Marker Enzyme, by Medicinal Herb Extracts
Chong-Suk Kwon,Ji Hyeon Kim,Kun Ho Son,Young-Kyoon Kim,Jeong Soon Lee,Jin Kyu Lim,Jong-Sang Kim 한국식품영양과학회 2002 Preventive Nutrition and Food Science Vol.7 No.4
To search for novel cancer preventive agents, we assessed the quinone reductase (QR)-inducing activities of medicinal herb extracts in cultured murine hepatoma cells (hepa1c1c7 cells). Among 216 herb extracts tested in this study, 8 kinds of herbal extracts were found to induce QR activity in hepa1c1c7 cells by more than 2-fold when used at the concentration of 25 μg/mL. The methanol extracts of Aster koraiensis NK and Pulsatilla koreana Nakai induced QR by 252 and 223%, respectively, at the concentration of 25 μg/mL. Most of the herbal extracts with QR inducing-activity increased the enzyme activity in a typical dose-dependent manner. The QR activity in BPrc1 cells was induced more than 50% by the extracts of Pulsatilla koreana Nakai, Inula helenium, Physalis alkekengi var. francheti (Masters) Makino, Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. latilobum Kitamura, Artemisia keiskeana Miquel, Chrysanthemum boreale Makino. In conclusion, Pulsatilla koreana Nakai, Aster koraiensis N.K, and Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. latilobum Kitamura, which showed relatively high QR induction, merit further animal study to evaluate their potential as cancer preventive agents.
