The lighting source is one of the most critical environmental elements in a plant factory for plant production. In this study, the narrow spectrum of blue LEDs (B) was added to mint-white LEDs (MW), resulting in diff erent spectral distributions of white lights. Strawberry propagules and runner plants were grown for 21 days under 100% MW, 80% MW and 20% B, 50% of each MW and B, or 100% B to identify the eff ects of additional blue to white LEDs on their growth. Additionally, the propagation periods for three runner plants were recorded to achieve greater effi ciency with these lighting treatments. As a result, propagules and runner plants showed the greatest growth and development in the 80% MW and 20% B. The same lighting treatment had the shortest propagation cycles in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd runner plants, 13.2, 24.9, and 35.2 days, respectively, indicating that growth promotion reduces the propagation cycle. However, 100% B caused runner growth retardation on strawberry plant and this resulted the prolongation of propagation cycle. There was no signifi cant diff erence in net photosynthetic rate for propagules, however, the runner plant was signifi cantly lowest in 100% MW. The intercellular CO2 concentration and stomatal conductance to CO 2 transfer of runner plants showed signifi cant diff erences similar to net photosynthetic rate. These experimental results suggest that the optimal amount of blue light could promote strawberry plant growth and strawberry runner plants’ growth.
Numerical approach to assessing the contact characteristics of a polymer-based waterproof membrane

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A waterproof membrane sprayed onto concrete enables faster construction compared with a conventional sheet membrane. The sprayed raw material, which is polymer mixed with water, becomes completely continuous waterproof thin membrane after a certain curing time. Such membranes have not been widely used in East Asia due to less confidence of their performance and limited applications despite of their outstanding structural properties and many projects in Europe, especially in the UK (at least 6 projects), which include higher cohesion at the interface and higher tensile strength. This study evaluates the material and contact properties of a waterproof membrane based on the results from laboratory experiments and numerical analyses. Interface properties of the waterproof membrane were calibrated from results of the linear block-support test proposed by European Federation of National Associations Representing for Concrete (EFNARC). A numerical model for simulating three-point bending tests was then developed and used to examine structural effects of the membrane. In results of numerical analysis, the contact conditions between the lining and the membrane had little effect in elastic behaviors, but tensile behavior of concrete lining had a relatively large effect.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Material property of sprayed waterproof membrane was experimentally and numerically evaluated. </LI> <LI> Interfacial property of sprayed waterproof membrane was assessed from linear block test results. </LI> <LI> Structural effects of sprayed waterproof membrane on concrete lining were analyzed. </LI> <LI> Interface property was well represented by cohesive contact model and damage criterion. </LI> <LI> Significant sprayed waterproof membrane effect on tensile behavior of lining was identified. </LI> </UL> </P>
A Black Hole Detection Protocol Design based on a Mutual Authentication Scheme on VANET
( Byungkwan Lee ),( Eunhee Jeong ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2016 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.10 No.3
This paper proposes “A Black Hole Detection Protocol Design based on a Mutual Authentication Scheme on VANET.” It consists of the Mutual Authentication Scheme (MAS) that processes a Mutual Authentication by transferring messages among a Gateway Node, a Sensor Node, and a User Node and the Black Hole Detection Protocol (BHDP) which detects a Non-Authentication Node by using the Session Key computed in the MAS and a Black Hole by using the Broadcasting Table. Therefore, the MAS can reduce the operation count of hash functions more than the existing scheme and protect a privacy from an eavesdropping attack and an information exposure by hashing a nonce and user`s ID and password. In addition, the MAS prevents a replay attack by using the randomly generated nonce and the time stamp. The BHDP improves Packet Delivery ratio and Throughput more than the AODV with Black hole by 4.79% and 38.28Kbps. Also, it improves Packet Delivery ratio and Throughput more than the IDSAODV by 1.53% and 10.45Kbps. Hence it makes VANET more safe and reliable.
A Design on Disease Rule Generation Scheme for Healthcare System

This paper proposes the DRGS (Disease Rule Generation Scheme) which generates the decision rules for Individually-Customized Medical Service and Medical Information. The DRGS generates a Decision rules with Rough Set Theory and support of attributes. Then the DRGS provides the enhanced Patient-Customized Medical Service and Medical Information by comparing and analyzing the extracted rules with a patient’s medical information, a current patient’s health condition, and a patient’s family history. In particular, because the DRGS generates the more excellent decision rules with the Rough Set Theory, contrary to the existing Decision Tree C4.5 algorithm which does not consider the relation between attributes, it improves the exactness, compared with the C4.5 algorithm.

This paper proposes Message Propagation based on Three types of Density Classification for Smooth and Secure Vehicular Traffic Flow. The Message Propagation based on Three types of Density Classification (MPTDC) measures the density on three types of roads, namely a secluded rural road (0), a highway (1), and a urban intersection (2) and propagates messages to each classified one. When the type of message propagation is 1 and 2, the MPTDC generates a Cluster key by using MAC after grouping vehicles into a Cluster. The Cluster Header aggregates traffic information, and transfers it to a destination after filtering redundant or tampered traffic information. When the type of message propagation is 0, the MPTDC transfers traffic information by using RSU without generating a Cluster. In particular, when the type of message propagation is 2, the MPTDC selects a transmission path according to the density. Hence, this paper not only provides efficient communication but also improves the reliability of messages because it aggregates frequently encountered redundant messages.
