      • 牧丹皮가 Collagen 誘發 關節炎에 미치는 影響

        류마티스관절염은 활막관절 부위의 만성 염증을 특징으로하며 병이 진행될에 따라 이환된 관절의 연골 및 골과 관절주위 연체조직의 파괴를 초래하는 전신성 자가면역질환이다. 전세계에 걸쳐서 주로 젊은층에서 발병하며 전 인구의 약 2-4%가 이환되는 것으로 알려진 류마티스관절염의 병인에 대하여는 아직도 완전히 규명되지 못하고 있으며,이 질병을 완치 시키거나 질병의 질행을 막을 수 있은 치료법이 정리되지 않은 실정이다. 牧丹皮는 淸熱凉血 活血祛瘀의 효능이 있어 임상적으로 발열,도한,월경불순등 이나 급성충수염 또는 跌打瘀血 등에 응용되어 왔으며 최근에는 진정,최면,진통작용과 항염 및 항알레르기 작용 등이 보고되고 있고 adjuvant 관절염에서 염증반응을 억제하는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 목단피가 콜라겐유발관절염(CIA)에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 bovine type II collagen을 랫트의 꼬리에 주사하고 목단피를 투여하여 CIA의 유발과정중의 면역학적 변화에 미치는 영향에 대하여 관찰하였다. 그 결과 목단피는 생체내와 생체외에서 담식세포에 의한 탐식능을 증가시켰으며 활막세포에 의한 반응산소중간물질 생성능을 감소시켰다. 또한 목단피는 림프구의 증식을 억제하였고,CD4+세포의 비율을 증가시키고 CD8+세포의 비율을 감소시켰다. 아울러 목단피는 요증 미tric oxide(NO)의 분비를 억제시켰고, 활막세포에서의 NO생성을 약간 증가시키는 효과를 보였으나 고농도의 목단피를 투여할 경우 다시 감소하는 결과를 보였다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 collagen에 의한 관절염의 진행시 목단피의 투여는 면역반응을 조절하여 ROI와 NO의 생성을 억제하고 탐식능을 증가시켜 외부 항원에 대한 탐식을 효과적으로 하여 관절염의 진행을 완화시킨 것으로 생각되며,따라서 목단피는 류마티스관절염의 치료에 임상적으로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. Rheumatoid arthritis(RA) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by a chronic inflammatory, proliferative polyarthritis with joint destruction. The disease occurs throughout the world. Most cases are common in young adult age, and 2-4% of the population are affected with female predominance. However the curative therapy of RA is not yet available, so the development of successful management is required. Moutan Cortex is an herb drug applied for such disease as fever, sweating, menstrual irregularity, acute appendicitis and trauma. Recently it is reported that Moutan Cortex has the antiinflammatory, antimicrobial and antihypertensive actions. It also has analgesic, sedative, and anticonvulsant effects. And it is reported to inhibil swelling of rat's paw and reduce arthritic joint swelling. So as to investigate the effects of Moutan Cortex on collagen-induced arthritis, its water extract was administered in the rat immunized by collagen and the immune responses were measured. The phagocytosis was increased in vivo and in vitro after administration of Moutan Cortex, which was strikingly increased after secondary immunization in vivo. Moutan Cortex decreased lhe reactive oxygen intermediate(ROI) formation and nitric oxide(NO) secretion in urine. While formation of reactive nitrogen intermediate was slightly increased after administration, it showed tendency of decrement in high dose. Moutan Cortex also inhibit lymphocytes proliferation. The ratio of CD4+ T cell was decreased and CD8+ T cell was increased. These results suggest that Moutan Cortex might inhibit arthritic changes by regulating immune response, inhibiting ROI and NO formation and increasing phagocytosis. So Moutan Cortex could be applied for the treatment of RA.

      • Wavelet 변환을 이용한 단기부하 예측기법에 관한 연구

        This paper proposes a novel wavelet transform based algorithm for the seasonal load forecasting. In this paper, Daubechies DB2, DB4 and DB10 wavelet transforms are adopted to predict the seasonal loads and the numerical results reveal that certain wavelet components can effectively be used to identify the load characteristics in electric power systems. The wavelet coefficients associated with certain frequency and tiem localization are adjusted using the conventional multiple regression method and then reconstructed in order to forecast the final loads through a five-scale synthesis technique. The outcome of the study clearly indicates that the wavelet transform approach can be used as an attractive and effective means of the seasonal load forecasting.

        난자의 회수시기, BSA, Cysteine 및 Myoinositol이 개 난자의 체외성숙에 미치는 영향

        This study was carried out to investigate the effects of ovarian estrus stage of oocytes and supplementation of medium with BSA, cysteine and myoinositol on in vitro maturation of canine oocytes. The in vitro maturation(IVM) rate to metaphase II (M II) stage of oocytes recovered from different stage of the reproductive cycle (inactive, follicular and luteal stage) cultured in TCM-199 media were 0.0±0.0%, 10.0±4.1% and 5.7±1.6%, respectively. The IVM rate of oocytes collected from follicular stage was significantly higher in inactive or luteal stage of oocytes. The IVM rates of oocytes recovered from different stage of the reproductive cycle cultured in TCM-199 media with 5% BSA and 0.1 mM cysteine were 0.0+0.0%, 15.8+4.7%, 5.6+1.5%, respectively. The IVM rates of oocytes recovered from different stage of the reproductive cycle cultured in TCM-199 media with 5% BSA and 10 mM myoinositol were 0.0±0.0%, 18.4±4.6% and 5.7±1.9%, respectively. The IVM rate of follicular stage oocytes was significantly higher in oocytes collected from follicular stage and with cultured 5% BSA and 0.1 mM cysteine or 5% BSA and 10 mM myoinositol compared to other experimental group.

      • 공기 보조 분사 장치를 이용한 엔진 성능 향상 및 연비 개선

        This paper describes the improvement of engine performence and fuel consumption through improved combustion formed by the tumble and swirl flows of an in-cylinder fuel-air mixture that uses an air forced fuel injector(AFI) which used compressed air. The AFI is designed to promote fuel atomization and to form uniform fuel-air mixture. In order to make up the tumble and the swirl flows of the in-cylinder mixture, the end of AFI is attached to the tube containing the fuel-air mixture to ensure the adequate flow and to ensure that the remaining kinds of mixture will flow effectively. In order to investigate the improvement of engine performence and fuel consumption, 2 models of tubes which make tumble and swirl flows were utilized. Each model was examined according to engine speed, intake manifold pressure and excess air ratio and compared with a base engine. Compared with the base engine, the results show that the AFI improves the engine performance and the brake specific fuel consumption(BSFC) in all of the engine speeds and the boost pressures at the tumble and the swirlflows. It also decreases exhaust emission of hydrocarbon(HC)

      • 표면 딤플 유무에 따른 골프공 주위 유동장의 해석

        To investigate the drag reduction effect of surface dimples on a golf ball, the flow fields around golf ball models with or without dimples at a subcritical Reynolds number of Re=1.4x10⁴ were analyzed experimentally in a wind tunnel as well as numerically by utilizing the commercial CFD program of CFX 5.5. It was proved by hot-wire measurements and flow visualization that the onset of flow separation was obviously delayed by the existence of surface dimples on a golf ball and thus thewake width of the flow field behind a golf ball with dimples became slightly narrower than that without dimple. For both cases, it was hard to identify the Karman type vortex shedding frequency and its harmonics in the wakes. At this relatively high Reynolds number, it was revealed that the implementation of a commercial CFD program to predict the flow field around a 3-D blunt body was not fruitful.

      • 상정사고 해석을 위한 위상각 및 전압 행렬 계산에 관한 연구

        This paper proposes a simple and efficient contingency analysis algorithm to find after-states without increasing computation efforts. Conventional methods are based on the matrix inversion lemma and two times of forward and backward substitutions are required to find modified angles. The proposed method which is based on the matrix iterative solution is a simple decoupled load flow with slightly modified formulations, and thus we can find new angles and voltages. With two iterations of the proposed method the computation efforts are equivalent to the conventional, since this requires only one forward and backward substitution per iteration. The proposed method is tested for IEEE 14 and 30 bus systems, and it shows that the solution accuracy is superior to and the efficiency is comparable with, DC load flow calculation. .

        A CCD(Charged Coupled Device) based image processing system was newly developed for performing effective flow visualization experiments by utilizing the IMAQ Vision Builder. As a result, instead of a manual system based on analog camera, flow visualization experiments can be carried out on an on-line operating system and thus much time and effort required in analyzing fluid flow field can be successfully reduced.

        오늘날 컴퓨터의 주된 사용은 많은 양의 데이터를 적절히 분류하여 저장하고 이들로부터 정보를 얻어내는 데 있다. 특히, 기호자료(symbolic data) 뿐만 아니라 영상자료(Image data)에 대한 처리가 필수적으로 요구되고 있는 시점에서 영상정보 저장 및 검색 시스템에 대한 중요성은 고조되고 있다. 그러므로 영상정보를 다루기 위한 시스템은 매우 중요한 것으로 인식된다. 본 논문에서는 영상정보의 저장 및 검색 기법에 대해 논하며, 영상정보 저장 및 검색 시스템을 설계하고 구현한 결과와 특징을 소개한다. Nowadays the main usage of a computer is to store and retrieve a large set of data. Especially there increases a need for a computer to handle image data as well as symbolic data. Thus, the role of image information system becomes very important. This paper dicusses key issues that one should consider when designing image information system. And then this paper describes main properties of our Image Information Store and Retrieval system.
