        이온도금된 지르코늄질화물 코팅층의 조직특성

        ZrN was deposited on a 304 stainless steel substrate by the reactive sputtering technique, and deposition rate and nitrogen content of deposits were measured as functions of partial pressures of N₂and Ar gases, the input power and the substrate bias voltage, respectively. X-ray diffractometer and scanning electron microscope were used to analyse the preferred orientation and morphology of the deposits. Deposition rate decreased rapidly with increasing the N₂pressure and decreasing the input power, while it decreased slowly with increasing the Ar pressure and decreasing the bias voltage. The N/Zr ratio of the deposts was in the range of 1.6-1.77 for the most deposition conditions. ZrN coatings deposited without any bias voltage showed columnar structure with a strong(111) preferred orientation, and the crystallites were fine and the surface was smooth. Those deposited with bias voltage showed a mixed texture of(111)-(311), where the columnar structure was more or less suppressed.

        한국 팝의 ‘건축학’을 위하여 -이동하는 서울의 음악적 장소들 1976~1992-

        The studies or discourses on popular music in Korea needs to be re-examined from the angle of urban geography, with the focus on Seoul in particular. In the 1980s, roughly from 1976 to 1992, the production and mediation of popular music in Korea was geographically mobile in the literal sense. As the old downtown area (Myeongdong, Jongno and Gwanghwamun) began to decline due to the development policy of national and local governments, different places emerged as the sites for sonic multiplicities. In this paper, several places in the 1980s Seoul are divided into four different nexuses. The first is Han Rive nexus which links Yeouido, Ichon and Yeongdong, which functioned as the center of the production and mediation of mainstream pop music. The other three nexuses provide alternatives to the mainstream pop:Sinchon-Daehakro nexus, which lies between two university towns, provided the network of ‘underground’ music through the reinvention of 1960-1970s local rock, folk, blues and jazz; Guro-Cheonggye-Seongsu nexus, which links industrial towns at the fringes of the metropolis, became the pillars for the practices of Minjunggayo (people‘s songs); Itaewon-Gangnam nexus, which links the north of Han River and its south via a bridge was the hotbeds for the emerging genres like ballad and dance music. The investigation surrounding these nexuses have implications, showing why the music scene in Korea these days is divided into mainstream music based in the Gangnam area and independent music based around the Hongik University area (next to Shinchon). It may also explain why other parts of Seoul, let alone the non-Seoul area, have been marginal as musical places. More in general, it can provide a theoretical foundation that a new kind of cultural history of modern Korea can be constructed in connection with the specific pattern of city planning that started in the 1970s and continues to this day. 이 글은 한국 대중음악의 연구와 담론을 도시지리학의 각도에서 재검토하고 재구축한다. 대략 1976년부터 1992년 사이, 상징적으로 ‘1980년대’라고 부를 수 있는 시기 동안 한국, 특히 서울에서 대중음악의 생산과 매개의 장소는 문자 그대로 ‘모바일’했다. 정부의 도시개발 정책에 따라 구도심의 다운타운(명동, 종로, 광화문)이 쇠퇴하면서, 상이한 장소들이 음향적 복수성의 새로운 부지(site)로 출연했다. 이 논문에서는 1980년대 서울의 상이한 장소들을 네 개의 넥서스로 구분하여 설명한다. 첫 번째인 한강변 넥서스는 여의도, 이촌동, 영동을 연계하면서 방송-음반-공연 등 대중음악의 생산과 매개의 중심으로 기능했고, 나머지 세 개의 넥서스는 각각 상이한 방식으로 주류 가요에 대한 대안을 제공했다. 구도심을 사이에 두고 두 대표적 대학촌을 연결하는 신촌-대학로 넥서스는 1960~1970년대의 록, 포크, 블루스/재즈를 기반으로 ‘언더그라운드’ 음악이 창조되는 축이 되엇고, 도심 외곽의 공업지대를 잇는 구로-청계-성수 넥서스는 민중가요의 실천의 현장이 되었고, 한강 이남과 이북을 잇는 이태원-강남 넥서스는 1980년대 말 주류로 등극하는 발라드와 댄스 등의 새로운 장르의 온상이 되었다. 이상의 넥서스들에 관한 고찰을 통해 현재 한국에서 주류 아이돌 음악은 강남 지역에, 인디 음악은 홍대 지역에 기반하고 있는지, 또한 서울의 다른 지역 및 서울 외부의 지역은 음악적 장소로 주변적인지 등의 지리적 구조화에 대한 역사적 기원을 추적할 수 있다. 더 일반적으로 1970년대 중반 이후 한국의 문화사를 도시개발계획과 접속하여 ‘건축’하는 연구를 위한 작업가설을 정초할 수 있다.

        중국 굴기 이후 한국화교와 다문화주의 - 잔여적 중국인인가 부상하는 과(跨)문화 주체인가? -

        한국화교는 냉전 시대 ‘중국(대륙) 출신, 대만 국적, 한국 거주’라는 확고한 정체성을 형성해 왔고, 다문화주의 정책이 시행되기 이전 시대에 다문화주의를 실질적으로 수행해 온 유일한 소수자 집단이다. 화교는 1990년대 이후 한중 수교를 비롯하여 동아시아 권역에서 전개된일련의 정치적, 경제적, 문화적 변화 속에서 자신의 법적 시민권과 문화적 소속감을 유연하게교섭하고 있다. 그 결과 한국에서 유일하다고 할 수 있는 화교의 집단 거주지인 연희동․연남동 일대는, 주변화된 화교의 집거지로부터 오래된 거주자인 화교와 새로운 주민인 대륙 중국인, 조선족, 기타 외국인이 공유하는 다문화적 혹은 과문화(跨文化)적 장소로 재편되고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 화교는 자신들이 다문화주의 정책으로부터 얻는 수혜가 없다고 실감하고있으며, 오히려 자신들이 새로운 이주민과 구별되지 않는 사실에 대해 불편해 하고 있다는 것이 관찰되었다. 이상의 조사에 따르면, 한국화교는 중국이 초강대국으로 굴기(屈起)한 이후의잔여적 중국인으로 간단히 설명될 수 없으며, 오랜 시간의 문화적 변환을 통해 형성된 혼종적이고 다문화적인, 정확히 말하면 과문화적 주체로 재개념화되어야 한다. 이는 다문화정책이본질주의적 민족문화(ethnonational culture)의 개념을 넘어서야 한다는 함의를 갖는다. Hwagyo, ethnic Chinese in Korea, had virtually been the only non-Korean residents in South Korea who had performed multiculturalism before the multiclultral policy began to be implemented. While hwagyo had established the stable identity of ethnic Chinese from the Mainland, the citizen of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the residents in South Korea simultaneously, they began to negotiate their legal citizenship and cultural sense of belonging in the complex effects of political and economic changes since the 1990s. As a result, the neighborhood of Yeonhui and Yeonnam, that once was a marginalized enclave of hwagyo, is being transformed into a multicultural or transcultural place which is shared by hwagyo, joseonjok (ethnic Koreans from China), mainland (Han-) Chinese, and other foreigner residents. In spite of these changes, my field research shows that hwagyo senses their exclusion from the benefits of multicultural policy. Furthermore, they feel uncomfortable with the gaze that does not differentiate them from the newcomer Chinese. The main argument of this paper is that hwagyo needs to be reconceptualized not as residual Chinese diaspora after the rise of China, but as hybrid and transcultural subjects who are neither Chinese nor Korean. It has the implication that the multiculturalism in South Korea needs to go beyond the essentialist notion of ethnonational culture.

        두만강 과경권역(跨境圈域)의 ‘개발’과 조선족의 이동성― 월경적 사회자본과 복수의 경계넘기/이웃하기

        Tumen River forms part of the border between North Korea and Northeast China as well as between North Korea and Far East Russia. Tumen river area as a transborder subregion has been politically sensitive in the modern history laden with territorial claims and political disputes. During the Cold War period, the subregion became the routes for the camaraderie trade among three socialist countries, but the political, economic and cultural importance of the subregion had been marginal. However, the subregion began to be transformed under the effect of economic globalization after the end of the Cold War. The Greater Tumen Initiative (GTI), originally the Tumen River Area Development Programme (TRADP), is an intergovernmental cooperation mechanism since 1995, supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Although GTI has not produced significant outcomes in terms of economic cooperation due to the disparities of political system and economic development among member countries, the subregion has already been transformed into a contact zone. More recently China is the most active at the GTI, which links it to the “Changjitu (Changchun–Jilin–Tumen) Development Plan,” which is expected to boost the economic development of three Northeast Provinces in Chinese territory. The spatial transformation of 'open border cities' and the cross-bordering mobility of those living there are examined, based on the field works and in-depth interviews. A special focus is put on Hunchun, one of the border cities in China, and Korean-Chinese (Chaoxianzu/Josenjok), who are arguably the most border-crossing since the border(s) became porous. Rather than reducing all the changes to the government policy, the cultural contestation in everyday life of Korean-Chinese in the changing urban space is highlighted. Moreover, the everyday practices and tactics by Korean-Chinese are investigated through the concepts of neighboring and social capital. The research has several implications. First, the border is no more the obstacle to the physical mobility than the integral forces in the lives of people residing in the subregion. Second, the Korean-Chinese are entitled to be the intermediaries in the subregion and beyond. Third, area studies, diaspora studies and the border studies needs to connected for the deeper understanding of the regionalization in the Northeast Asia.

        Numerical and experimental investigation of conventional and un-conventional preswirl duct for VLCC

        This paper shows the study of preswirl duct as an effective energy saving devices that have been devised and reviewed to support the propeller performance, especially for the ship of VLCC with large block coefficients. From the bare hull wake measurements, typical upper/lower asymmetry of hull wake at the propeller disk was found. The 2kinds of pre-swirl duct, Unconventional half circular duct and Conventional circular pre-swirl duct have been designed and reviewed to recover the loss of propeller running in that condition. The general function of the pre-swirl duct was set to work against this asymmetry of wake and generate pre-swirled flow into the propeller against the propeller rotating direction. The optimum self propulsion tests with various angle configurations were carried out and the best configuration was decided. Accordingly, cavitation test was carried out with best configuration of unconventional half circular duct. The blade surface and tip vortex cavitation behaved smoother when the duct was mounted. The hull pressure amplitudes reflected this difference, so the hull pressure amplitude with duct was smaller than that of without duct.

        다스랄, 디자인주간, 후토폴리스(胡同城) ― 베이징 남부(城南)의 도시재생과 문화의 (탈)정치

        Dashilar, an area in the southern part of old Beijing, had been culturally and economically marginalized, to the point where the ‘south city’ (南城/城南) gained the connotations of poverty, stagnation and uncouthness. Yet, since the late 2000s, it has been under profound spatial transformation by the implementation of the culture-led urban regeneration policy. The renovation of siheyuan (courtyard housing) and hutong (narrow alley), and the hosting of the Beijing Design Week (BJDW) marked the new phase of urbanization, which is definitely different from the dominant approach of urban development. Based on the revaluation of heritage buildings such as Xintiandi (in Shanghai) and cultural and creative industries such as 798 Art Zone (in Beijing), Dashilar shows a case of linking culture and creativity to a residential area. An urbanism called Hutopolis (胡同城), a visionary scenario for China’s urbanization, emerges out of these practices. This paper traces the processes that enable this and similar upgrading or gentrifying projects in Beijing, and connects them with the trends of urban governance. Although BJDW and Hutopolis have the negative side of functioning as another spectacle, the case of Dashilar shows that the local communities can be developed organically, at least theoretically, through complex processes of collaboration, conflict and contestation between government agencies, property developers, and cultural and creative industrie
