A Study on Major Factors Influencing Dry Cutting Temperature of AISI 304 Stainless Steel

        Hui-Bo He,Hua-Ying Li,Jun Yang,Xian-Yin Zhang,Qi-Bin Yue,Xue Jiang,류성기 한국정밀공학회 2017 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.18 No.10

TiN coated and uncoated tools were used to conduct the dry cutting temperatures for AISI 304 stainless steel. Effects of cutting variables on cutting temperatures were investigated using single factor experiment method. The optimal cutting parameters of cutting temperatures were obtained through orthogonal experiment method. The forming process and temperature distribution of chips were analyzed using finite element method (FEM). The results show that cutting temperature generally increases with the increase of cutting speed and feed rate. When depth of cut increases at the range of 0.8-1.5 mm, the cutting temperature increases firstly and decreases subsequently. And the cutting temperature of TiN coated tool is lower than that of uncoated tool. The optimal parameters of cutting temperature are obtained by orthogonal experiment, which is A1B1C3. The highest temperature appears on the second deformation zone by the simulation.

Application of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells Effectively Eliminates Endotoxemia to Protect Rat from Acute Liver Failure Induced by Thioacetamide

        Jiang Ting,Xia Geng,Yang Bo,Zhang Hong-wei,Yin Yue-shan,Tang Cheng-wei,Yang Jin-hui 한국조직공학과 재생의학회 2022 조직공학과 재생의학 Vol.19 No.2

Background: Endotoxemia is related to worse clinical outcomes in acute liver failure (ALF), but its management remains unsatisfactory. In this study, we aimed to assess whether the application of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) could eliminate endotoxemia and protect rats against ALF induced by thioacetamide (TAA). Methods: BMSCs were isolated from rats and identified by the specific morphology, differentiation potential, and surface markers. The optimal dose of TAA for this study was explored and TAA-induced ALF rats were randomized to three groups: the normal control group (Saline), ALF group (TAA + Saline), and BMSCs-treated group (TAA + BMSCs). The intestinal migration and differentiation of BMSCs was tracked in vivo, and intestinal permeability, endotoxin and inflammatory cytokines, histology, and mortality were analyzed. Moreover, we added the inhibitor of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway into the co-culture system of BMSCs with enterocytes and then performed CK and Villin expression experiments to assess the role of PI3K/AKT/mTOR signal pathway in the intestinal differentiation of BMSCs. Results: BMSCs migrated to the intestinal injury sites and differentiated into enterocytes, intestinal permeability was decreased compared with the ALF group. The higher expression of endotoxin and inflammatory cytokines were reversed after BMSCs transplantation in rats with ALF. Mortality and intestinal lesion were significantly decreased. Blocking the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signal pathway inhibited BMSCs’ intestinal differentiation in vitro. Conclusion: BMSCs can eliminate endotoxemia and reduce mortality in rats with ALF, and the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signal pathway is involved in intestinal differentiation. BMSCs transplantation could be a potential candidate for the treatment of endotoxemia in ALF. . Augmenter of Liver Regeneration Alleviates Renal Hypoxia-Reoxygenation Injury by Regulating Mitochondrial Dynamics in Renal Tubular Epithelial Cells

        Xiao-hui Liao,Rui-ting Long,Jun-bo Peng,Li-li Huang,Gui-ping Jiang,Yue-juan Liao,Hang Sun,Yu-dong Hu 한국분자세포생물학회 2019 Molecules and cells Vol.42 No.12

Mitochondria are highly dynamic organelles that constantly undergo fission and fusion processes that closely related to their function. Disruption of mitochondrial dynamics has been demonstrated in acute kidney injury (AKI), which could eventually result in cell injury and death. Previously, we reported that augmenter of liver regeneration (ALR) alleviates renal tubular epithelial cell injury. Here, we gained further insights into whether the renoprotective roles of ALR are associated with mitochondrial dynamics. Changes in mitochondrial dynamics were examined in experimental models of renal ischemia-reperfusion (IR). In a model of hypoxia-reoxygenation (HR) injury in vitro, dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1) and mitochondrial fission process protein 1 (MTFP1), two key proteins of mitochondrial fission, were downregulated in the Lv-ALR + HR group. ALR overexpression additionally had an impact on phosphorylation of Drp1 Ser637 during AKI. The inner membrane fusion protein, Optic Atrophy 1 (OPA1), was significantly increased whereas levels of outer membrane fusion proteins Mitofusin-1 and -2 (Mfn1, Mfn2) were not affected in the Lv-ALR + HR group, compared with the control group. Furthermore, the mTOR/4E-BP1 signaling pathway was highly activated in the Lv-ALR + HR group. ALR overexpression led to suppression of HR-induced apoptosis. Our collective findings indicate that ALR gene transfection alleviates mitochondrial injury, possibly through inhibiting fission and promoting fusion of the mitochondrial inner membrane, both of which contribute to reduction of HK-2 cell apoptosis. Additionally, fission processes are potentially mediated by promoting tubular cell survival through activating the mTOR/4E-BP1 signaling pathway.

Numerical study of a variable camber plunge airfoil under wind gust condition

        Jianyang Zhu,Lin Jiang,Hui Zhao,Bo Tao,Bin Lei 대한기계학회 2015 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.29 No.11

Variable camber deformation is observed during the flight of some insects and bird species; however, the effect of this special airfoilshape motion on the aerodynamic characteristics of the airfoil is not well understood, especially for the airfoil under gust wind. We did anumerical study to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of a variable camber plunge airfoil under wind gusts. A weak couplingprogram was developed to simulate the interaction between the variable camber plunge airfoil and fluid, and the flow field, aerodynamicforce and energy efficiency of different camber airfoils under different wind gust conditions are investigated. It was found that camberdeformation influences the aerodynamic characteristics of the airfoil greatly. If the airfoil has an appropriate camber deformation, thedeformation can increase the mean thrust and the propulsive efficiency of the airfoil. Moreover, the aerodynamic characteristics of theappropriate camber airfoils are not significantly affected by the gust frequency, and there exists a range of gust amplitude where the aerodynamiccharacteristics of the airfoils are also not significantly affected by the gust amplitude, which may be beneficial for aerodynamicstability of the airfoil. The results also show that appropriate camber deformation can suppress leading edge vortex separation, whichimproves the aerodynamic characteristics of the airfoil.

        Zhang, Bin,Xu, Ya-Zheng,Deng, Zhao-Hui,Chu, Bo,Jiang, Li-Rong,Vandenplas, Yvan The Korean Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology 2015 Pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology & nutrition Vol.18 No.1

Purpose: This study aims to investigate Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745 during Helicobacter pylori eradication in children. Methods: One hundred ninety-four H. pylori positive children were randomized in two groups. Therapy (omeprazole+ clarithromycin+amoxicillin or omeprazole+clarithromycin+metronidazole in case of penicillin allergy) was given to both groups during two weeks. In the treatment group (n: 102) S. boulardii was added to the triple therapy, while the control group (n: 92) only received triple therapy. The incidence, onset, duration and severity of diarrhea and compliance to the eradication treatment were compared. A $^{13}C$ urea breath test was done 4 weeks after the end of eradication therapy in two groups of 21 patients aged 12 years and older to test the H. pylori eradication rate. Results: In the treatment group, diarrhea occurred in 12 cases (11.76%), starting after $6.25{\pm}1.24days$, lasting $3.17{\pm}1.08days$, and compliance to eradication treatment was 100%. In the control group, diarrhea occurred in 26 cases (28.26%), starting after $4.05{\pm}1.11days$, lasting $4.02{\pm}0.87days$, and in six cases eradication treatment was stopped prematurely (p<0.05). The $^{13}C$ urea breath test showed successful H. pylori eradication in 71.4% of the patients in the treatment and in 61.9 % in the control group (not significant). Conclusion: S. boulardii has a beneficial effect on the prevention and treatment of diarrhea during H. pylori eradication in children. Although S. boulardii did only slightly increase H. pylori eradication rate, compliance to eradication treatment was improved.
