Lung cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers and it has the highest mortality of all forms of cancers. Although surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy are routinely used for the treatment of lung cancer treatment, little progress has been made in the treatment of this condition over the past 20 years. The histological subtype of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) accounts for approximately 30% of all lung cancer patients. Spontaneous regression of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCL) is an extremely rare phenomenon. Spontaneous regression of cancer (SR) is defined as a complete or partial, temporary or permanent disappearance of all or at least some the relevant parameters of soundly diagnosed malignant disease without any medical treatment or with treatment that is considered inadequate to produce the resulting regression.

60세이상 노인의 신체 부위별 전기자극시간에 따른 역치 변화에 대한 연구

Background: The purpose of this study was influence of change of electrical stimulation time on body regions affects on electrical current threshold. Methods: The present study is to examine the effect of silver spike point (SSP) electrical stimulation (1Hz), transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS, 100Hz), and interferential current therapy (ICT, 50Hz) from the low back and scapulodorsal and knee joint regions on stimulation-induced current thresholds from the elderly (over sixty) people (male:72, female:91) in senior welfare center. Result: The low back region, but not scapulodorsal and knee joint region, significantly increased the TENS and ICT, but not SSP, electrical stimulation, significantly increased the time-dependent current thresholds in elderly patients. Conclusion: Therefore, these results, in part, suggest that the TENS and ICT were shown to be a more adaptable method of stimulation, and that needed of the development of senile specialized physical therapy and the utilization of senior leisure facilities such as senior welfare center the others.

대퇴네갈래근에 테이핑요법 적용이 근력과 근피로에 미치는 영향

Background: This study examines the changes in muscular strength and muscle fatigue substances when taping treatment is applied in squat exercise and treadmill exercise, in which quadriceps femoris muscles are used frequently so as to clarify the effects of taping as an aid of exercise ability improvement. Methods: 20 healthy male adults in their 20's participated in the study, in which tapes were put on their quadriceps femoris muscles, and various variables as the indicator of muscular strength and muscle fatigue substances were measured by means of the measuring tool before and after exercises. Results: the following conclusion was drawn up: 1. In exercise using muscular strength of the right knee extension, the reduction of muscular strength after exercise of the taping group showed significant statistical difference from that of the non-taping group. 2. In exercise using muscular strength of the lower limbs, the reduction of blood Glaucos after exercise of the taping group showed significant statistical difference from that of the non-taping group. 3. In exercise using muscular strength of the lower limbs, the value of lactic acid after exercise of the taping group showed significant statistical difference from that of the non-taping group. Conclusion: Therefore, the results of this study demonstrate that the application of taping treatment in sports activity or daily life where quadriceps femoris muscles are used a lot can have positive effects on the improvement of muscular strength and relief of muscle fatigue.

플라즈마 포커스를 이용한 크롬 산화물 박막 성장의 분위기 기체 압력 의존성 연구

Chromium oxide thin films have been deposited on silicon substrates using a tabletop 9kJ mathertyped plasma focus (PF) device. Before deposition, pinch behavior with gas pressure was observed. Strength of pinches was increased with increasing working pressure. Deposition was performed at room temperature as a function of working pressure between 50 and 1000 mTorr. Composition and surface morphology of the films were analyzed by Auger Electron Spectroscopy and Scanning Electron Microscope, respectively. Growth rates of the films were decreased with pressure. The oxide films were polycrystalline containing some impurities, Cu, Fe, C and revealed finer grain structure at lower pressure.

Purpose : The aim of this study was to analyze the duties of physical therapists by developing a curriculum( DACUM) method, and to present the frequency, importance and difficulty of the main duties and tasks currently conducted in Korea. Methods : The definition of physical therapists and job description was developed based on DACUM. In order to achieve this analysis, a DACUM workshop, and a survey was conducted on 524 Korean physical therapists working in the whole country 84 areas in order to analyze the order of priority for all tasks. Results : This study defined the task of physical therapists and five kinds of duties were identified : diagnosis and evaluation, intervention, education and counseling, management and community service. Twenty-six tasks and Sixty-three task elements were classified. Conclusions : The results of this study will be of help for the development in clinical education and university curriculum.

알코올 중독 환자의 심리 유형과 임상적 특성 간의 관계에 대한 예비적 연구

Objectives:This study has been carried out in order to understand the degree of preference of the psychological types of the alcoholics and their sociodemographic variables and then to verify the correlation of these variables using statistical methods, which will be the preliminary keys to the dynamic understanding of the drug addiction. Methods:We have conducted a questionnaire survey of the 31 alcoholics, which had questions about MBTI and sociodemographic variables. The results were statistically analyzed using SPSS. Results:Most of the them were in their thirties, with little school background, and under poor economic condition. Many of them were second sons in their family and many of them had only mother, while father was dead. There was a relative tendency, even not so prominent in a statistical sense, that many of the alcoholics were extroverts, and that they liked thinking function, and preferred the sensing function. Conclusion:We hope that this preliminary study will be a starting point for a deeper study which will reveal the relations between the addiction to alcohol and the degree of the preference of the psychological types, stereotyping, and the dynamic meaning.

다가오는 뉴 밀레니엄 시대는 생활의 급격한 변화를 예고하고 있으며, 고도의 산업사회, 국제사회, 평생교육사회가 예상되어 이에 따른 사회 전반에 걸친 생활 양식은 물론 교육의 혁신이 요구되고 있음을 앞에서 밝힌바 있다. 형식적 교육의 역기능을 보완하고 급속한 사회 변화에 대처하기 위한 방안으로 평생 교육의 필요성이 대두되었으며, 사회와 가정, 학교의 여러 환경적 요인의 중요성과 교육적 기능을 간과할 수 없는 시대적 상황이 전개되고 있는 것이 현실이다. 이러한 지식 기반 사회와 정보화 시대를 살아가야 할 현대인에게 있어 비인간화 현상의 초래는 당연한 결과이며, 이를 극복해야 함은 이 시대를 살아가야 할 우리의 필연적 과제인 것이다. 이러한 과제를 해결하기 위해서는 과거 지향적인 지식중심교육의 틀에서 벗어나 창의성, 사고력, 문제 해결력 등 고등정신 기능을 신장시키는 교육이 이루어져야 하며, 인간 능력의 무한한 가능성과 개인차를 인정하는 교육이 이루어져야하는데 이를 위 한 레크리에이션 교육이 필요한 것이다. 또한 토플러가 그의 저서 「제3의 물결」에서 밝힌 고도 산업사회가 만들어낸 인간소외, 인간 삶의 의미 상실에 대한 인간성 회복과 인간관계의 기술을 익히기 위해서도 여가·레크리에이션에 대한 교육이 절실히 요구된다고 하겠다. 인간 사회에 살면서 소홀하기 쉬운 인간성을 회복하고 삶의 질을 제고하며 풍부하고 윤택한 삶을 영위하기 위하여 여가를 통한 레크리에이션 활동의 기능과 역할은 시대적 요구인 동시에 이에 따른 여가 선용과 레크리에이션 활동에 대할 국가적 차원에서의 행정적인 지원과 재정적인 지원은 물론 정책적인 배려를 아끼지 말아야 할 것이다. 또한 체험 활동을 통하여 자기 주도력을 신장하고 다양한 능력을 개발하며 국민들의 복지와 건강한 삶을 영위하기 위한 평생 학습과 평생 레크리에이션을 누릴 수 있는 전반적인 환경이 조성되어져야 하며, 국민에게 그 혜택이 다가설 수 있도록 하는 삶에 대한 제도적 장치와 여건이 확실히 보장되어져야 할 것이다. 그리고 지구촌 시대에 걸 맞는 건전하고도 창조적인 여가 및 레크리에이션 활동을 위해서는 Globalism에 입각한 의식으로의 전환이 필연적으로 요구되며, 올바른 국가관과 민족관의 바탕 위에 국가와 민족, 국경을 초월하는 세계 시민 의식인 지구 공동체 의식을 고취하여 세계가 더불어 살아갈 수 있도록 쾌적한 환경인 지구촌 캠프를 보전하여야 할 것이다. 이상과 같이 여가 선용에 바탕을 둔 Recreation의 생활화를 통하여 더욱 풍부하고 다양하며, 건강한 삶을 누릴 수 있고, 나아가서는 주체적이고 윤택한 삶의 환경을 조성하여 내일의 일을 충실히 수행할 수 있는 원동력을 얻어 사회적, 신체적, 정신적, 정서적으로 건강하고 행복하며 보람에 찬 인생을 찾아 21C New Millennium시대에 사는 우리에게 미래가 보장되는 복지 국가를 향해 나아가야 할 것이다.

십이지장 궤양을 동반한 베체트 증후군 1예

Behcet's disease is a recurrent and multisystemic disorder which usually persists over many years. In 1937 Behcet described a chronic relapsing triple symptom complex of recurrent oral ulceration, genital ulceration and ocular inflammation. Other manifestations of the syndrome include arthritis, cutaneous vasculitis, thrombophlebitis, epididymitis, ulcers of gastrointestinal tract and meningoencephalitis. Recently, a case was experienced involving intestinal Behcet's syndrome with duodenal ulcer bleeding. A 32-year-old male patient was admitted due to hematemesis, and epigastric pain. The patient had ulcers on the oral mucosa, soft palate, external genitalia, and anus. An irregularly marginated ulcer with bleeding was found on the anterior of the duodenal bulb through esophago- gastroduodenoscopic examination. The patient was diagnosed with Behcet's disease and was treated with steroids. In this paper, the case of duodenal bulb involvement of Behcet's disease is reported with a review of relevant literature.

Graves 병 환자에서 Propylthiouracil 투여후 발생한 무과립구증과 Stevens-Johnson 증후군 1 예

Only a few cases with Stevens-Johnson syndrome following propylthiouracil administration have been reported. We report one case of a 54-year-old woman with propylthiouracil-induced Stevens-Johnson syndrome and agranulocytosis. A diagnosis of Graves disease had been made by a high level of serum thyroid hormones associated with low thyrotropin level, positive thyroid microsomal antibody, and increased radioactive iodine uptake. Three months after propylthiouracil medication the patient visited this hospital due to vesiculobullous and ulcerative skin lesions on her extremities, along with conjunctival hemorrhage. With the discontinuation of propylthiouracil, the skin lesions improved, while short- term trials of propylthiouracil revealed a drug-induced maculapapular eruption on her extremities with severe itching.
