The effects of welding parameters such as contact tip-to-work distance (CTWD), voltage, and current on the weld metal diffusible hydrogen contents (HD) were investigated and rationalized by the calculation of heating time and amount of heat generated in the extension length of flux cored wire. As CTWD increased from 15 to 25mm, HD decreased from 8.46 to 5.45mL/100g deposited metal. Calculations showed that, with an increase of CTWD, the amount of heat generated increased from 46 to 92J in addition to an increase of heating time. Increase of current from 250 to 320A, however, gave little variation of HD. It showed that no significant change in the amount of heat generated was found, and heating time was decreased with an increase of current. It also showed that CTWD is more influential than voltage in relatively lower heat input ranges, while voltage is more in higher input ranges

Background: Acute lung injury (ALI) is the most serious complication of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). We investigated role of autophagy and inflammatory signaling pathways in lung damage and therapeutic effects of dexmedetomidine (DEX). Methods: Fifty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups: sham, SAH, SAH+ DEX5, SAH+DEX25, and SAH+DEX50. SAH was induced using endovascular perforation technique. All rats received mechanical ventilation for 60 min. At 2 and 24 h of SAH induction, SAH+DEX groups were treated with 5, 25, and 50 μg/kg of DEX, respectively. Histological ALI score and pulmonary edema were assessed after 48 h. Lung expression of LC3B, ATG3, p62, TLR4, TLR9, and NFκB was assessed using western blotting and quantitative PCR. Blood levels of IL-6, IL-1β, IFN-γ, and TNFα were also assessed. Results: SAH induced ALI and pulmonary edema, which were attenuated in SAH+DEX5 (P < 0.001 for both) and SAH+DEX25 groups (P = 0.001 and P < 0.001 for ALI and edema, respectively). Lung expressions of LC3B and ATG3 were upregulated in SAH group, which was attenuated in SAH+DEX5 and SAH+DEX25 groups. Lung expressions of TLR4, TLR9, and NFκB were increased in SAH group, which was attenuated in SAH+DEX5 group. Blood IL-6 level was increased in SAH group and attenuated in SAH+DEX5 and SAH+DEX25 groups. Blood IFN-γ level was lower in SAH group than in sham group, and it was increased in SAH+DEX25 group. Conclusions: Low-dose DEX treatment after SAH may protect against ALI by disrupting pathological brain-lung crosstalk and alleviating autophagy flux and TLR-dependent inflammatory pathways.

Effects of MgO or $R_2O_3$(R:Dy, Ho, Yb) on the capacitance aging behavior of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) based on $BaTiO_3$ dielectrics under DC electrical fields has been studied. At a DC field of 1 $V{/\mu}m$, the capacitance of MLCC specimens dropped immediately in a very short period (<10 s, the first stage) and then decreased continuously with time (the second stage). Mn doping significantly increased the aging rate in the second stage. The addition of MgO or $R_2O_3$ notably decreased the second stage aging rate of Mn-doped specimens. Yb doping gives rise to the lowest aging rate in the second stage, which is due to the larger population of defect dipoles associated with oxygen vacancies.

Background: Peripheral nerve injury induces up-regulation of the calcium channel alpha2delta (${\alpha}2{\delta}$) subunit and TRPM8 in the dorsal root ganglion (DRG) which might contribute to allodynia development. We investigated the expression of the ${\alpha}2{\delta}$ subunit and TRPM8 in the DRG of sympathetically maintained pain (SMP) and sympathetic independent pain (SIP) rat model. Methods: For the SMP model, the L5 and L6 spinal nerves were ligated tightly distal to the DRG. For the SIP model, the tibial and sural nerves were transected, while the common peroneal nerve was spared. After a 7 day postoperative period, tactile and cold allodynia were assessed using von Frey filaments and acetone drops, respectively. Expression of the ${\alpha}2{\delta}$ subunit and TRPM8 in the L5 and L6 DRG were subsequently examined by a Western blot. Results: There were no significant differences between the two models for the thresholds of tactile and cold allodynia. Expression of the ${\alpha}2{\delta}$ subunit in the ipsilateral DRG to the injury was increased as determined on a Western blot as compared to that in the contralateral or sham-operated DRG of the SMP model, but there was no difference in expression seen with the use of the SIP model. There was no difference in the expression of TRPM8 in the ipsilateral DRG to the injury and the contralateral or sham-operated DRG of either model. Conclusions: Up-regulation of the ${\alpha}2{\delta}$ subunit in injured DRG may play a role that contributes to tactile allodynia development in SMP, but not TRPM8 to cold allodynia after peripheral nerve injury.

한국의 사회복지 조직은 과거의 그 어느 때보다 책임성 이행에의 압력을 크게 받고 있다 사회복지 조직들은 사업의 성과를 평가해야 하며, 조직 운영의 정당성과 투명성을 입증해야 한다. 이 논문에서는 한국의 사회복지 조직이 직면하고 있는 책임성 위기의 본질을 파악하고, 이에 대응하는 책임성 있는 조직 지배구조의 요소들을 이론적으로 식별하고자 시도하였다. 사회복지 조직의 공공성, 사회복지 사업 재정규모의 급증 그리고 신뢰와 평판의 위기를 책임성 압력의 원인으로 파악하였다. 또한 사회복지 조직의 내적 지배구조로서 이사회와 사무국 그리고 위원회의 기능과 역할을 책임성의 관점에서 파악하고, 지배구조의 구성요소들 간의 관계를 제시하였다. 아울러 조직의 외적 지배구조와의 소통과 관계 설정이 중요함을 지적하였다. Social welfare organizations in Korea are now facing the accountability crisis which is the greatest than ever. Social welfare organizations should evaluate their performances and justify the rationality and transparency of the management. This article tries to identify the fundamentals of the accountability crisis that social welfare organizations are facing and the accountable governance factors. This article finds the functions and roles of the board of directors, executives, and committees of the social welfare organizations as nonprofit entities. The relationship between the governance factors are also suggested. Finally, communicating and building relationship between the organizations and outer governance.
실험연구 : 흰쥐의 포르말린 검사에서 척수강 내로 혼합 투여한 NMDA 수용체 길항제와 5-HT3 수용체 작동제의 상호 작용

Background: A single agent administered is not effective enough to block nociception. Combination of agents acting through different mechanisms may be one of the best ways for better analgesic methods. The purpose of this study was to investigate the spinally mediated analgesic interaction between 5-HT3 receptor agonist (m-CPBG) and NMDA receptor antagonist (MK801) in the rat formalin test. Methods: A polyethylene catheter was inserted in the atlanto-occipital membrane to the thoracolumbar level of the spinal cord. On postoperative 7 day, the normal saline (n = 6), m-CPBG (10, 30, 100μg: n = 18) and MK801 (0.1, 1, 10μg: n = 18) were injected intrathecally before subcutaneous injection of 5% formalin. The combinations of each 1/2ED50 + 1/2ED50, 1/4ED50 + 1/4ED50, 1/8ED50 + 1/8ED50 were tested and the ED50 of the combination was determined. The experimental ED50 values were compared with the theoretical additive values. Results: m-CPBG dose-dependently decreased the number of flinches in both phase 1 and 2. MK801 dose-dependently reduced the number of flinches in phase 2, but not in phase 1. The combination of m-CPBG and MK801 produced dose-dependent decreases of flinches on both phase 1 and 2. ED50 values (2.75μg for m-CPBG and 0.076μg for MK801) of phase 2 in the combination were significantly less than the calculated additive values (20.0μg for m-CPBG and 0.55μg for MK801)(P<0.01). Conclusions: Intrathecally administered m-CPBG and MK801 had synergistic analgesic effects on formalin-induced hyperalgesia as well as antinociceptive effects in phase 1 on the rat formalin test.
