        광양만 해수의 휘발성 유기화합물에 대한 시 공간적 분포

        Volatile organic compounds(VOCs) were analyzed on the seawater from 17 stations in Kwangyang Bay throughtout the year. We could not detect 10 VOCs; methylene chloride, tetrachloromethane, 1, 1, 1-trichloroethane, trichloroethane, 1, 1, 1, 2-tetrachloroethane, trichloroethylene, bromoethane, dibromoethane, bromobenzene, 1-ethyl-3-methylbenzene. The other VOCs-chloroform, 1, 2-dichloroethane, ethylbenzene, benzene, toluene, m, p-xylene, methylethylketone, styrene, hexane-were detected with a little variance according to the sampling stations and the sampling seasons. The concentrations of chloroform(0.6∼49.9㎍/l) and toluene(0.42∼48.3㎍/l) were high and they were detected more frequently than the other detected VOCs. We also tried to seek the correlation between the physicochemical environmental factors and VOCs. Only tolene had the high correlation coefficient with the water temperature(r=-0.524) and with the pH(r=0.319). Correlation between VOCs themselves showed some interesting results. The benzene had high correlation coefficient(r=0.549∼0.662) with three VOCs such as toluene, m, p-xylene, ethylbenzene. From these results it is suggested that VOCs might be discharged simultaneously in Kwangyang Bay. [VOCs, Environmental factors, Correlation, Kwangyang Bay].

        불가사리 알을 이용한 연안해수의 수질 평가

        N/A In August 2003, the water quality of offshore waters along the Incheon coast of Korea was evaluated by biological evaluation using gametes, embryos and early development systems of a starfish species (Asterina pectinifera). As the result of performing biological evaluations on seawater samples from a total thirteen sites, the formation rate of normal larva was 16-68%. At seawater sample from site 5 and 13, formation rate of normal larva averaged 16%, the most abnormal rate hindering the early embryo development of the experimental animal, while that of site 3 averaged 68%, the highest formation rate of normal larva. At seawater sample from site 2, 4, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, formation rate of normal larva averaged 33-54%, those which damage the development of early embryos slightly. At seawater sample from site 1, 5, 6, 8, 13, formation rate of normal larva averaged 16-28%, those which damage the development of early embryos strongly.

        아므르불가사리 배아를 이용한 서해 연안해수의 생물학적 수질평가

        This survey was carried out to evaluate offshore water quality to Western sea in Korea by bioassay using early development system of Asterias amurensis. Despite of the inflows of several river systems, most West coast maintained the grade Ⅱ water quality because embryo development of Asterias amurensis was moderately inhibited. This is thought to be due to the decrease in pollutant input resulting from the purification of inflow rivers (e. g., the control of waste water discharge and the construction of sewage treatment facilities), and the dilution of pollutants by a strong tidal mixing with a large difference between the ebb and flood tides. However, the water quality of Asan, Hampu˘ng and Choˇnsu Bays, where circulations of water are relatively poor, and Kunsan and Mokpo harbors which are influenced by pollutants from neighboring cities have shown the grade III because embryo development of Asterias amurensis was strongly inhibited.

        광양만 생태계의 미생물군집에 관한 환경요인 분석

        In Kwangyang bay, the biological and ecological surveys were carried out at seventeen sites both in surface and bottom water from July 1996 to May 1997. Fifteen abiotic and biotic parameters were determined on each sample. These data were subjected to simple regression, multiple stepwise regression and the principal factor analysis-to scrutinize the effect of environmental conditions on water quality and ecosystem. By the results of these analyses in Kwangyang bay, ecosystem were regulated by five factors for four seasons. The results showed that distribution of the microbial population was mainly influenced by inflow of fresh water, nitrogenous nutrients, suspended solids and water temperature. The overall size of microbial population was greater ten and five times than those obtained in 1982 and 1992, respectively.

        광양만의 퇴적물에 대한 이화학적 조성 및 중금속 함량

        본 연구는 광양만 퇴적물의 이화학적 조성과 중금속 함량을 알아보기 위해 함수율, COD, $H_{2}S$, 입도 및 10가지의 중금속을 17개 조사지점에 대해 분석${\cdot}$조사하였다. 조사기간동안 나타난 결과로서 퇴적물의 함수율 변화는 35.5${\sim}$53.8%를 나타내었다. COD와 $H_{2}S$는 각각 3.8${\sim}$12.9 mg/g, 0.1${\sim}$11.4 ${\mu}g/g$를 나타내었다. 퇴적물 입도의 구성은 입경 $74{\mu}m$ 이하가 40.5${\sim}$86.7% 74${\mu}m$ 이상이 11.5${\sim}$43.0%로 나타났다. 등농도 분포도를 이용한 중금속의 공간분포로부터 광양만 퇴적물에 영향을 미치는 몇 곳의 배출원을 추정할 수 있었다. 중금속 배출원 중 여천공단 내의 신풍천, 쌍봉천 그리고 하수처리장의 방류수역이 주요 배출원으로 판정되었다. 중금속의 분석 결과를 US, EPA 비오염해역의 guideline에 비교할 때 납과 수은은 guideline에 모두 적합한 것으로 평가되었으나 망간, 아연, 구리, 철, 비소, 크롬 등은 guideline을 모두 상회하고 있었다. For the purpose of surveying the physicochemical composition of sediment collected from Kwangyang Bay, the percentage of water loss, COD, $H_2S$, grain size and 10 heavy metals were studied at 17 sites. During the surveying period, the changes of the percentage of water loss were appeared $35.5\;{\sim}\;53.8%$. COD and $H_2S$ were showed $3.8\l{\sim}\;12.9\;mg/g$, and $0.1\;{\sim}11.4\;{\mu}g/g$, respectively, In composition of grain size on the sediment, percentages of grain sizes under $74\;{\mu}m$ were varied from 40.5% to 86.7% and above $74\;{\mu}m$ were varied from 11.5% to 43.0%. From the spatial distribution of heavy metal using contour map, we can suppose some heavy metal discharges which affect sediment of Kwangyang Bay, It was estimated that Shinpung creek, Ssang-bong creek, and draining area of sewange treatment plant were the main discharge among the heavy metal output sources. By comparison between present study and heavy metal guideline of nonpolluted sea sediment that is provided by EPA, US, it was showed that the contents of Pb and Hg were acceptable but contents of Mn, Zn, Cu, Fe, As, and Cr were higher than those of EPA guideline.

        강진만 생태계의 환경요인 분석

        To investigate the variations of environmental and microbial populations in six stations at water region of Gangjin Bay, nutritive salts, water temperature, COD, DO, pH, heterotrophic bacteria, fungi and facal coliform bacteria were analysed four imes from February to November, 1998. These data were subjected to simple statistics, correlation analysis and principal factor analysis. Ecosystem of Gangjin Bay was regulated by 2∼4 factors during four seasons. We estimated that it was mainly influenced by inflow of fresh water, nutrient salts, suspended solids, salinity and variation of water temperature. These results suggested that influences of environmental factor of Gangjin Bay was relatively less than those of other bays. [Environmental factor, Ecosystem, Gangjin Bay].

      • 오원천의 식물플랑크톤 군집에 대한 연구

        We carried out a study on phytoplankton community at Owon stream, Jeollabukdo, Korea. The author have examined 83 taxa of the phytoplankton from researched area. These were composed of 5 classes, 11 orders, 21 families, 44 genera, 79 species, and 9 varieties. The composition of occurrence species were as follows: green algae are 48.2%, diatoms are 33.7%, blue green algae are 10.8% and etc(7.3%). Dominant species were Chlamydomonas angulosa, Pandorina morum, Coelastrum microporum, Scenedesmus quadricauda, Staurastrum gracile, Melosira varians, Me. italica, Synedra ulna, Sy. acus, Cocconeis placentula, and Cymbella tumida. The standing crops varied from 1,650cells/ℓ to 47,000cells/ℓ. Phytoplankton density of Owon stream were lower about 8.6 times to a 1,531 times than those of other lakes and rivers in Korea. So, to preserve the water quality in Owon stream we have to manage continuously on the nitrogen and phosphorus.

      • 강진만에서 미생물의 년 변화

        The biological surveys were performed at seven sites in the Gangjin bay from February, 1998 to November, 2001. In order to analysis of environmental variation, numbers of heterotrophic bacteria, general fungus and fecal coliforms were enumerated in each sample. The result showed that variation range of heterotrophic bacteria, general fungus, and fecal coliforms were 2.9 x 10^(3)~9.6 x 10^(3) CFU/ml, 17.2~80.1 CFU/ml, and 6.3~682.5 CFU/100ml for four tears(1988~2001), respectively. Density of heterotrophic bacteria and general fungus were gradually decreased for four tours, while fecal coliforms were suddenly increased. Specially, numbers of fecal colifoms were increased the more 100 times in 2001 than that 1998. We think that it was probably caused a little rainfall in February, 2001. There result suggests that ecosystem of Gangjin bay were mainly regulated by 2~3 factors, which were inflow of fresh water, salinity and variation of water temperature.

        The biological and ecological surveys were carried out at six site water region from February to October. 1998, In other to analysis of environmental variation, density population of heterotrophic bacteria, general fulgi and fecal coli were determined on each sample. The result, ecosystem of Gangjin bay were regulated by 2~4 factors for four season. The results showed that distribution of the microbial population was mainly infuluenced by inflow of fresh water, salinity and variation of water temperature. And suggested that environmental factor of Gangjin bay was relatively simple than those other bays.

      • 저서동물을 이용한 진양호 유입하천의 수질평가

        This study was conducted to evaluate the biological water quality by aquatic benthos community analysis in the upper stream of Lake Jinyang of Kyungsangnamdo province. The total of benthic animal during surveyed period was indentified in all sites 31 species, 31 genera, 27 famillies 15 orders 7class in 4 phylums; In phylum platyhelmites 1 species, 1genus 1 family 1 order 3 class , in annelida 3 species 3 genera, 3 famillies 3 orders 2 class, in mollesca, 4 species, 4 genera, 3 famillies 3 orders 2 class, and in arthropoda 29 species, 24 genera, 20 famillies 8 orders 2 class were recorded. According to the analysis of biological indices of dominance index(DI), water quality of majority was either ? -mesosaprobic or polysaprobic but site 1 and 4 were polysaprobic at all seasons. In case of diversity index(H'). however, water quality in all sites were polysaprobic.
