        1. Butterflies were collected in the !v[t. Wol-Chool area from April 1986 to October 1986. A total of 685 specimens, comprising 5, species, were collected. 2. Categories of collected specimens are as follows : Papilionidae 3 Genera 7 Species Pieridae 4 II 6 II Satyridae 7 II 10 II Nymphalidae 9 II 17 II Lycaenidae7 II 7 II Hesperiidae 9 II 10 II Total 39 Genera 57 Species 3. The numbers of collected species and specimens each month are as follows: Month Apr. May Jun. Jul. Aug. Sep. Oct. Total Species 9 21 30 37 32 28 7 Spcci mens 23 52 138 176 158 112 26 685 4. The specific ratio of the Palaearctic Region to the Oriental Region is 2.44 : 1, which shows that the Oriental ratio is higher in comparison with the all Korea ratio of 5.5 : 1. This result is owing to the fact that Mt. Wol-Chool is located in the southern part of korea.

        Cyclophosphamide가 흰쥐의 부정소에 미치는 영향 I. 두부

        This research was undertaken to determine the effects of the anticancer and immunosuppressive drug cyclophosphamide (CP) on the epididymal caput of the male rat in terms of ultrastructural alteration and protein analysis by SDS-PAGE at different groups; control group, 1 week group, 3 weeks group, 5 weeks group were treated with saline (control group) or CP at doses of 20 mg/kg/week, 1 time a week, respectively. In the cytoplasm of the principal cells on the epididymis, the mitochondrial outer and inner membranes were significantly swollen or disrupted. The lumens of rough endoplasmic reticulum (rER) were also swollen, and the number of Golgi vesicles were increased, respectively. It is suggested that treatment with CP alters the specific cell organelles in the epididymis. CP caused changes in protein concentrations in caput of epididymis after CP treatment. Total proteins of 32 to 37 species such as lactate dehydrogenase, carnitine acetyltransferase and succinate dehydrogenase were expressed in the caput fluid. Then the more CP was increased, the more concentration of proteins caused to decrease, synthesize or increase in epididymis. In contrast to the control group, in particular carnitine acetyltransferase and the other 9 proteins in the caput fluid were decreased or disappeared, respectively, whereas lactate dehydrogenase and the other 5 proteins in the caput fluid were increased or synthesized, respectively. The other proteins are not showed distinctive difference. These alterations could be direct mediated by toxic effects of the drug on the epithelium or be secondary to changes in the spermatozoa as a result of the CP treatment.

        This research was undertaken to determine the effcets of the cyclophosphamide(CP) on the epididymis of the male rat in terms of histological alteration, and protein analysis by SDS-PAGE at different groups ; control group, 1 week group, 3 weeks group. 5 weeks group were treated with saline(control group) or CP at doses of 20mg / Kg / week, 1 time a week, respectively. Vacuoles in the cytoplasm of the principal cells on the epididymis at the histological levels are increased according to the accumulating dose. The number of sperms in epididymal cavity were decreased on the 3 weeks group of this animals and significant decreases were observed in the 5 weeks group. Then the more CP was increased, the more concentration of proteins were changed in all segments of epididymis ; In contrast to the control group, in particular carnitine acetyltransferase and the other 9 proteins in the caput fluid, 88KD and the other 8 proteins in the corpus fluid, and 29KD and the other 10 proteins in the cauda fluid, acid phosphatase were decreased or disappeared, respectively, whereas lactate dehydrogenase and the other 5 proteins in the caput fluid, acid phosphatase and the other 9 proteins in the corpus fluid, and 89KD and the other 6 proteins in the caudafluid, 28KD were increased or synthesized, respectively. The other proteins are not showed distinctive difference. These alterations could be mediated by direct, toxic effects of the drug on the epithelium or be secondary to changes in the spermatozoa as a result of the CP treatment.

        This research was undertaken to determine the effects of the cyclophosphamide (CP) on the epididymal corpus of the male rat in terms of ultrastructural alteration and protein analysis by SDS-PAGE at different groups; control group, 1 week group, 3 weeks group and 5 weeks group were treated with saline (control group) or CP at doses of 20mg/kg/week, 1 time a week, respectively. In the cytoplasm of the principal cells on the epididymal corpus, the mitochondria were significantly swollen or disrupted. The lumens of rough endoplasmic reticulum (rER) were also dilated and the number of secretory vesicles and lysosomes were increased respectively. CP caused changes in protein concentrations in the corpus of epididymis after CP treatment. Total proteins of 31 to 36 species were expressed in the corpus fluid. Then the more CP was increased, the more concentration of proteins caused to decrease, synthesize or increase in epididymal corpus. In contrast to the control group, in particular 88KD and the other 8 proteins in the corpus fluid, were decreased or disappeared respectively, whereas acid phosphatase and the other 9 proteins in the corpus fluid, were increased or synthesized respectively. The other proteins are not showed distinctive difference. It is suggested that treatment with CP alters the specific cell organelles and proteins in segment of the epididymal corpus.

      • 어류의 장내세균 분리와 항생제 감수성 실험에 관한 연구

        어류 장내세균의 양상을 알아보기 위하여 7종의 어류를 대상으로 장내 세균 수와 분포를 조사하였으며, 분리된 장내세균수와 분포를 조사하였으며, 분리된 장내세균 100균주를 대상으로 10종의 항생물질에 대한 감수성 실험을 실시하여 아래와 같은 성적을 얻었다. 1. 어루의 장내세균수는 Nutrient agar에서 1.1x10^-9/g, EMB agar에서 1.2x10^-7/g의 평균치를 얻었다. 2. 어류의 장내세균으로는 E. coli, Citrobacter, Protrus, Alcaligenes, Providencia, Enterobacter, Klebsiella, Edwardsiella가 분리되었으며 그 중 E. coli, Citrobacter, Enterobacter가 대부분을 차지하였다. 3. 어류 장내세균의 항생제 감수성 실험에서 amikacin(95%), gentamicin(88%), chloramphenicil(80%)에 감수성을 나타낸 반면 penicillin(99%)m clindamycin(99%), methicillin(88%)에 높은 내성을 보여 주었다. 4. 균주별 항생제 감수성 실험에서 chloramphenicol에 Providencia에 Enterobacter, Klebsiella가, cefoperazone에 Citrobacter, Providencia, Edwardsiella, Klebsiella가 amikacin에 E. coli, Alcaligenes, Peocidencia가 gentamicin에 Providencia, Klebsiella, Edwardsuella가 모두 감수성을 보여준 반면 clindamycin에 Proteus 1균주와 penicillin에 citrobacter 1균주를 제외한 모든 균주에서 높은 내성을 나타냈다. Total viable count and distribution of the enteric bacteria were exaimed from 7 species fishes. Isolated 100 strains of enteric bacteria were performed antibiotic susceptibility test on the 10 kinds of antibiotics. The results obtained were as follows: 1. In total viable count from fishes, the average volume were 1.1X10^-9/g in nutrient agar and 1.2X10^-7/g in EMB agar. 2. Enteric bacteria isolated from fishes were E. coli, Proteus, Alcaligenes, Providencia, Enterobacter, Klebsiella and Edwardsiella. Among them, predominant strains were E. coli, Citrobacter and Enterrobacter. 3. The results on the susceptibility tast of isolated 100 strains from fishes were as follows: 95% by amikacin, 88% by gentanmicin, 80% by chloramphenicol. On the other hand, penicillin, clindamycin and mehicillin were shown 99%, 99% 88% resistant patterns respectively. 4. On the antibiotic susceptibility test by each strains, Provindencia, Enterobacter and Klebsiella strains were 100% by chlorampenicol. Citrobacter, Providencia, Klebsiella and Edwardsiella strains were 100% by cofoperazone. E. coli, Alcaligenes and Providencia strains were 100% by amikacin. Providencia, Klebsiella and Edwardsiella strains were 100% by gentamicin. On the other hand, a11 of strains except 1 Proteus strain were resistant by c1indamycin. All of strains except I Citrobacter strain resistant by penicillin.

      • 초파리의 발육 단계에 따른 온도의 영향

        In order to see the developmental rates and the emergence rates of Drosophila melanogaster, having been reared in laboratory, whose wings has been grown at each development under different temperatures, the five strains of Drosophila melanogaster were examined, and so. The results were shown as follows ; The emergence rates of all the five strains of D. melanogaster were decreased at the stage of egg treated with both high and low temperatures, but decreased exceedingly under the high temperature treatments. The emergence rates of all five strains of D. melanogaster were decreased at the stages of larva, treated with both high and low temperature, too, but the more developmental stages were progressed, the less the third stage of larva had its difference eventually. The emergence rates treated with the stage of larva were lower than that of the stage of egg, but the difference of the emergence rates was small according to the terms of temperature. The effects of temperature treatment were few at the stage of pupa. The resistance under the low temperature of D. melanogaster was stronger than that under the high temperature of D. melanogaster. The resistance of temperature related with the five strains of D. melanogaster had no significant difference. The developmental rates were faster in high temperature than in low temperature.

        Alkylating agent가 생쥐 정소의 Sertoli Cell에 미치는 영향

        This paper aims to probe that the effect of high dose of cyclophosphamide to the Sertoli cells of the mouse was examined by transmission electron microscope. In the normal group, Sertoli cells contact each other around the basal aspect of the seminiferous tubule, forming numerous row of tight junction, blood-testis barrier. Sertoli cells contain smooth endoplasmic reticulum, well developed Golgi comples, a number of round mitochondria and microfilament. The cytoplasmic necrosis are observed from the 1-time treated group. In the 2-times treated group, smooth endoplasmic reticulum are more developed than normal group, but cisternae are partially dilated. In the 3-times treated group, the smooth endoplasmic reticulum are not developed. In the 2-times treated group, the inner membrane of the mitochondria are partially disrupted, and cristae are all disrupted in the 3-times treated group. The microfilaments are not observed in the all treated groups. According to the results above, it seems that smooth endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, and microfilament are disrupted by toxic effects of the cyclosphamide to the Sertoli cells of the mouse.
