This paper reals with the structure and function of duel mass flywheel. Damping effects of engine rotational fluctuation are compared with those of pre-damper clutch and duel mass frywheel and driven-system behavior is es-timated engine idle r.p.m. The reason of gear rattle noise is higher in summer than winter and driving longer period than initial driving is clue to affection by drag torque changing. The above-contents can be used on the design of clutch system and transmission maching including engine and duel mas-s flywheel.

The interest and purpose of this study is to control of air-fuel ratio and develop control device of a spark ignition LPG engine with adopting open loop fuel system. The air-fuel ratio is derived by considering airflow resistane of air cleaner element. The result shows that air-fuel ratio becomes more and more rich when airflow resistance increases. Experiments about the influence of airflow resistance on the engine performance, drivability and emissions are performed. Therefore, it is known that open-loop fuel system depends on the absorbing resistance of air-cleaner.
균기산(勻氣散)이 흰쥐의 국소뇌혈류량 및 평균혈압에 미치는 효과

Kyungisan (KGS) has been used in oriental medicine for many centuries as a therapeutic agent for treatment of stroke caused by deficiency of qi(氣虛). This study was performed to evaluate effects of KGS extract on the regional cerebral blood flow(rCBF) and mean arterial blood pressure(MABP) in rats. The result of this study were as follow ; 1. KGS significantly increased rCBF irrelevant to MABP in normal rats, 2. To prescribe KGS after pretreatment with indomethacin(IDN) decreased rCBF as compared with control group to administered only KGS in normal rats. But the change of MABP is not significantly as compared with control group. 3. To prescribe KGS after pretreatment with methylen blue( MTB) decreased MABP and rCBF as compared with control group to administered only KGS in normal rats. Especially, it significantly decreased rCBF. These results suggest that KGS increase rCBF by enlargement diameter of pial artery in brain. The active mechanism of KGS is related with prostaglandin activated by cyclooxygenase. So, I suggest that KGS has an anti-ischemic effect through the improvement of cerebral blood flow and can be used for stroke.
디젤엔진을 탑재한 소형버스의 기어 래틀 소음 저감에 관한 실험적 연구

On mini-bus with diesel engine, at idle rpm for taking measurement to reduce gear rattle noise, was tested by the three clutch disc samples by turns, then measured the fluctuation of revolution of engine & transmission and parallel vibration of differential gear & transmission. By analyzing the measured data, the gear rattle noise, the matching design and tuning technic of transmission are comprehended and established. Conclusions of this test are as follows ; (1) Fluctuation of revolution on transmission is greatly affected by torsion of clutch disc according to fluctuation of engine revolution transmit to transmission through clutch system. Especially, gear rattle noise can be reduced by minimaizing the fluctuation of the revolution of transmission using pre-damper type clutch disc. (2) The reason of gear rattle noise is higher in summer than winter and driving longer period than initial driving is due to affection by drag torque changing. So, it is necessary for manufacturer to choose proper oil to transmission. (3) It can be occurred jumping and crash noise by applying the pre-damper type clutch disc for reducing the gear rattle noise. So, it is necessary to do test with actual vehicle according to test procedure.
Transcranial Doppler Ultrasonography(TCD)의 참고치와 변화 요인들과의 연관성

Objective : We present reference values of flow velocities of intracranial and extracranial cerebral arteries and relation with change factor. Method : We checked transcranial Doppler ultrasonography on mean velocity, systolic velocity, pulsatility index, and resistance index of 252 patients. We also compared differences of change factor. Result : The result showed a difference by sex and age and relevance between vessels besides mean velocity of vessels related with past history and social history. Conclusion : According to the above results, females showed higher velocity of all vessels. With advancing age, subjects showed reduction in velocity and increase in pulsatility index and resistance index. Anterior cerebral, middle cerebral, and posterior cerebral artery increased in proportion to velocity of internal carotid artery and basilar artery. Vessel velocity correlated with diabetes mellitus, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.

The purpose of this study is to present a case of gaze palsy due to thalamic infarction improved by acupuncture and herb medicine. Monocular gaze palsies which result from a supranuclear cerebral lesion are rare clinical manifestations. The pre-frontal cortico-oculomotor pathways travel across the thalamus and mesodienphalic junction terminating directly in oculomotor complexes. The acute disinhibition of these neurons by a posterior thalamic lesion results in a sustained but transient discharge of the medial rectus and tonic activation. Results of this study suggest a role for conservative therapy with herb medicine and acupuncture to treat gaze palsy due to thalamic infarction. Further research into oriental medical treatment for such disorders will be forthcoming.

An experimental study on the effects of temperature change on the impact damages of CFRP aminates was made through an observation of the interrelations between the Impact energy vs. delamination area, the impact energy vs. residual bending strength, and the delamination area vs. the decreasing of the residual bending strength for CF/EPOXY and CF/PEEK composite laminates subjected to FOD (Foreign Object Damage) under high temperatures.

Recently increasing flexibility and low damping characteristics of large structures have made the structures susceptible to large vibration levels under harsh environmental loads such as earthquakes, winds, and mechanical excitations. Therefore, higher performance control systems to reduce the vibration levels are demanded more than any time in the past. In this paper, the active vibration control system using a linear oscillatory actuator (LOA) is studied to suppress structural vibration. A voice-coil-type LOA having the moving mass of 23㎏ weight is designed and fabricated for good linearity and high performance. The LOA consists of permanent magnets with high specific energy as the stator, a nonmagnetic hollow rectangular structure wrapped the coil around, and an iron core as a pathway for magnetic flux. When the coil is fed with alternating current, a oscillating force is produced to the active mass connected to the mover in the magnetic field generated by the magnets. The LOA has relatively simple structure of almost maintenance free, compared with other actuators such as a hydraulic actuator. Performance tests are carried out on the test structure subjected to sinusoidal and random base excitations. From these tests, it is confirmed that the acceleration level of the test structure is drastically reduced near the resonant region.
