고혈압(高血壓) 및 고지혈증(高脂血症)에 대(對)한 보양환오탕(補陽還五湯)의 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究)

In order to study the effects of Boyanghwanoh-tang(補陽還五湯) on blood pressure and hyperlipidemia, experimental study was performed on Hypertension in normal rats, SHR, and on Hyperlipidemia induced by Triton WR-1339 and 2% cholesterol Fed-diet in normal rats. Also the level of Total cholesterol, Triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, Phospholipid were measured. The results are summarized as follows : 1. After Boyanghwanoh-tang(補陽還五湯) was given to normal rats and SHR, the results showed that inhibitory effects on blood pressure were not significant but exitory effects on heart beat were significant. 2. In the model of hyperlipidemia Rats induced by 2% Cholesterol Fed-Diet, Boyanghwanoh-tang(補陽還五湯) had significantly decreasing effects on Total cholesterol, Triglyceride, LDL-cholesterol, Phospholipid level in serum but no significantly increasing effects on HDL-cholesterol level in serum. 3. In the model of hyperlipidemia Rats induced by Triton WR-1339, Boyanghwanoh-tang(補陽還五湯) had significantly decreasing effects on LDL-cholesterol, Phospholipid level in serum and significantly increasing effects on HDL-cholesterol level in serum but there were not significantly decreasing effects on Total cholesterol, Triglyceride. These results show that Boyanghwanoh-tang(補陽還五湯) has significantly inhibitory effects on hyperlipidemia and thal it could be clinically applied for hyperlipidemia.

Because syndrome-differentiation is one of the major characteristics in oriental medicine, there would be a possibility that the same herbal medicine show different effects on the same disease, if syndrome differentiation is ignored. In this report, we observed different response of Yukmijihwang-tang in diabetic stroke patients according to their syndrome differentiation. One case diagnosed as 'Kidney-yin deficiency syndrome' showed remarkable improvement on diabetes mellitus, whereas the serum glucose levels of the other 4 cases diagnosed as 'non Kidney-yin deficiency syndrome' were lowered little. These results are in accordance with the oriental medical theory that Yukmijihwang-tang can treat 'Kidney-yin deficiency syndrome'. Therefore, we suggest that subsequent clinical trials on oriental medicine would have to include the concept of differentiation of syndromes in order to take out the merit of oriental medicine.

최근 컴퓨터 비젼 기술이 자동화 분야, 반도체 분야, 로보트 분야 등에서 실용화 단계에 들어섬에 따라, 기술의 안정성과 사용의 편이성을 접목시킨 효율적인 컴퓨터 비젼 시스템이 요구되고 있으며, 사용 환경 분석을 통하여 사용자 중심의 설계를 하는 것이 근래의 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 기존 비젼 기술의 경제성과 안정성을 고려하고 컴퓨터 비젼 환경의 인간적 요소를 포함하는 비젼 시스템을 위한 소프트웨어 패키지(Software Package)를 개발하였다. 위 패키지를 위한 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스(GUI) 환경에 대한 규칙을 정의하고, 사용 환경 분석을 통한 사용자 중심의 설계를 하였다. 비젼 시스템을 위한 소프트웨어 패키지를 각종 영상 처리 함수들을 선택, 실행하기 위한 GUI를 제공하고, 이들을 조합 및 가시화함으로써 새로운 알고리듬을 편집, 재실행하게 한다. 또한 영상 처리를 위한 표준 자료 형식을 정의하였으며, 내부적으로는 동적 메모리 관리와 오류 관리를 한다. 유닉스 환경에서 X윈도우(MOTIF)를 기반으로 동작하는 본 소프트웨어 패키지는 컴퓨터 비젼 기술의 실용화에 있어서 효율적인 도구로 사용되어질 것으로 기대된다. In recent years, there has been practical increase in the computer vision technologies, especially in the fields of automation, semiconductor, and robotics. For the efficient computer vision systems combined with the fidelity of technology and the usability of the system, the user-centered design through the analysis of user environments is the major tendency of system designing. Therefore this paper developed the Software Package for vision systems with considering the fidelity of existing vision technologies and usability of vision systems. The Software Package presents the graphical user interfaces for the selection and execution of various image processing functions. By combining and visualizing the selected function, it is possible to create, execute and edit a new vision algorithm In the Software Package, the standard data formats for vision algorithms are defined, and dynamic memory management and error handling is included. Finally, it is expected that the Software Package, operated with the X window system(MOTIF) environment on the UNIX O/S, will be used as a efficient tool for computer vision systems.
사출성형용 컴파운드의 유변학적 특성에 미치는 Sm - Co 계 분말의 입도 영향

Rheological characteristics of Sm-Co type plastic magnet compound for powder Injection molding process were investigated with the variation of the magnetic powder size, their relative contents and volume fraction using the mixture of fine and coarse powder. Shear viscosity of Sm-Co type compound was decreased with increasing the size of coarse powder due to the increase of powder packing density. However, the smaller the average size of fine powder resulted in the higher viscosity of compound due to the increase of agglomeration force. In case of mechanically milled Sm-Co type powder, the viscosity of compound with the mixture of coarse powder of 125~75 ㎛ and fine powder of average size of 4.9 ㎛ greatly depends on their relative contents and shows a minimum value at the 60 % coarse powder fraction. This means that the compound shows a maximum packing density at the 60 % coarse powder fraction. Compound viscosities satisfied well the rheological model with the volume fraction of magnetic powder, and maximum volume fraction of magnetic powder in Sm-Co type compound for powder injection molding was about 66 %.
Sm(Co.688-xFe.₂₄₂Cu.07Zrx)7.404 소결자석의 자기적 특성에 미치는 Zr의 영향

Microstructure and magnetic properties of Sm-Co sintered magnet were investigated with the variation of Zr content and their solution treatment and aging temperatures. The fraction of eutectic structure and the size of eutectic area decreased with increasing x value of cast Sm(Co._(688-x)Fe.₂₄₂Cu._(07)Zr_x)_(7.404) alloys. On the other hand, x=0.022 ingot had finer dendritic structure compared to the other alloys. The sintered magnet of Sm(Co._(688-x)Fe.₂₄₂Cu._(07)Zr_x)_(7.404) had well defined cell structure which is composed of cell boundary SmCo_5 and cell interior Sm₂Co_(17) phase. Cell boundary SmCo_5 phase has 20 ㎚ thickness and its relative angle was 120° in x=0.018 and 0.022 alloys. Cell size was decreased with increasing Zr contents. But, x=0.026 alloy has diffuse cell boundary and irregular shape compared to x=0.022 and 0.018 alloys. Maximum value of coercive force and maximum energy product were obtained from x=0.022 alloys. Optimum solution treatment temperature of Sm(Co._(688-x)Fe.₂₄₂Cu._(07)Zr_x)_(7.404) alloy was 1170℃ and 1st aging temperature of two step aging process for higher coercivity was 850℃.

Background and Purpose : Hemiplegic upper extremity is a problem frequently encountered in the rehabilitation of patients with stroke. In Korean traditional medicine, moxibustion has been used clinically in treatment of stroke patients with hemiplegia. So far, its efficacy has not been proven clinically. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of the moxibustion in treating hemiplegic upper extremity in stroke patients. Design : Randomized Control Trial. Subjects and Methods : Forty hemiplegic stroke patients admitted to Kyunghee oriental medicine hospital were randomized into the treatment with standard physiotheraphy combined with Moxibustion-group or Control-group with standard physiotherapy alone. It took them 2-5 weeks from the onset to start this study. Moxibustion was applied at LI4(合谷), LI11(曲池), TE3(中渚), TE5(外關) in hemiplegic hand, once a day for 2weeks. The effect of treatment on hemiplegic upper extremity was assessed using Fugl-Myer motor scale, Motricity Index and Modified Barthel Index(drinking/feeding, dressing upper body, grooming) Results : These 2 groups had comparable clinical characteristics; sex, age, plegic side (Rt., Lt.), pretreatment impairment. After two weeks, patients in the moxibustion group perfomed better on Fugl-Myer test and Motricity index test. The differences were significant.(P=0.038, 0.002) But Results on the Modified Barthel Index revealed no effect.(P=0.348) Conclusion : This results suggest that moxibustion is an effective treatment for improvement of motor function of hemiplegic upper extremity.
