        This paper explores the concept of physical literacy (Whitehead, 2010) as an alternative interpretation for the meaning of collegiate physical activity courses at the time of higher education crisis. Also, physical literacy is considered as the theoretical foundation for character education within the context of liberal physical education. Five undergraduate physical activity (i.e., tennis) teachers were recruited and interviewed. During this participatory action research, data were analyzed in three phases: observation, interview, and reflection (Kemmis & McTaggart, 2000). Their course objectives, teaching strategies as well as evaluation schemes were compared and contrasted. Finally, further discussion on how the physical activity courses can be taught was presented in order to propose physical literacy as an alternative educational purpose in liberal physical education.

        청소년의 운동정서와 희망 및 직업결정 자기효능감의 관계

        이 연구는 청소년의 운동에 대한 정서, 미래에 대한 긍정적인 기대를 높이는 희망과 직업결정 자기효능감이 어떤 관계를 가지는지 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 이 연구는 D광역시에 거주하는 남녀공학 일반계 고등학교 1,2학년 학생 665명(남 279, 여 386)을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 자료수집을 위해 PANAS(Positive and Negative Affect Schedule)를 토대로 운동 중에 느끼는 일반적 정서 반응을 측정하기 위해 정용각(1997)이 수정, 보완한 운동정서질문지, 희망척도(Dispositional Hope Scale: DHS)를 바탕으로 한국 상황에 맞게 번역하여 타당화한 최유희 등(2008)의 한국판 희망척도(Korean-DHS), 자기효능감질문지의 단축형(Short Form of the Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Scale: CDMSES-SF)을 청소년에 맞게 수정 보완하여 타당화한 이은경(2001)의 질문지를 활용하였으며, 분석에 앞서 질문지의 신뢰도 분석과 탐색적 요인분석 및 확인적 요인분석을 수행하였다. 분석을 위해 기술통계, t-검증, 상관분석, 구조방정식모형분석을 사용하였다. 분석결과 운동정서, 희망, 직업결정 자기효능감에 긍정적인 상관관계가 성립하였다. 희망은 직업결정 자기효능감에 긍정적 영향을 미치며, 운동정서와 직업결정 자기효능감의 직접적 인과관계는 성립되지 않았으나, 운동정서는 희망을 매개로 하여 직업결정 자기효능감에 간접적 인과관계를 가졌다. The present study explores the relationship between hope, exercise emotion, and career decision-making self-efficacy among high school students. A total of 665 (279 male and 386 female students) high school 1st and 2nd graders participated in the study. A modified form of Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) for exercise (Chung, 1997), Korean version of Dispositional Hope Scale (Choi, Lee, & Lee, 2008), as well as Short Form of the Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Scale (CDSES-SF, Lee, 2001) were used and a series of exploratory factor analysis and path analysis were conduced to establish the measurements` reliabilities prior to the data analysis. Descriptive, t-test, correlation, structural equation model analyses were used. Results revealed that there was significant positive relationship between emotion and dispositional hope. Furthermore, the high schoolers emotion indirectly influenced their career decision-making self-efficacy via dispositional hope as a mediator.

        학교체육진흥법에 대한 중등학교 체육교사들의 인식조사

        입시위주의 교육풍토로 인한 공교육에서의 체육활동 경시와 이로 인한 청소년들의 체력저하, 그리고 학생선수들의 학습권 및 인권침해 등 한국 학교체육의 어두운 단면들을 해소하고자 발의된 학교체육진흥법은 2012년 1월 공포되어 2013년 1월에 시행될 예정이다. 안타깝게도 학교체육진흥법의 효과적인 시행과 적용에 결정적인 역할을 할 중등학교 체육교사들의 의견은 시행령 제정에 제대로 반영되지 않았으며 최근 시행령 제정에 대한 논의와 더불어 이러한 현장의 요구는 점점 더 커져가고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 학교체육 진흥법에 대한 중등학교 체육교사들의 인식 여부를 조사하고 학교체육진흥법의 올바른 정착을 위해 필요한 제안사항을 살펴보는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 2012년 현재 서울특별시에 근무하고 있는 총 중등학교 체육교사의 약 14.5%인 403명(남자=329, 여자=74)을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 결과 거의 대부분(98.8%, n=389)의 체육교사들이 학교체육진흥법의 존재를 알고 있었으며 법령의 현장적용 가능성에 대해서도 대체적으로 긍정적(78%, n=315) 이었다. 그러나 몇 가지 중요한 조항(예, 비만학생을 위한 건강증진 프로그램 운영, 학생선수를 위한 기초학력 보장프로그램 등)에 대한 상대적 인지도가 떨어지는 경향을 보였다. 학교체육진흥법의 효과적인 정착을 위해서 학교체육 당사자인 교사, 학생, 그리고 학부모간의 다각적인 교육적 논의가 필요할 것이다. It is the Physical Education Promotion Act that has a goal which allows students to get a balanced body and mind by deciding required facts for invigorating the school physical education such as building up students` sports activities and promoting athletic clubs at schools. In accordance with this situation, this paper tried to explore secondary physical education teachers` understanding on the Act. In order to achieve this goal, surveys were collected from 403 secondary physical education teachers (14.4% of the total number of physical education teachers in the Seoul Metropolitan area). The data were analysed using frequency analysis and independent t-test. The followings are main findings from the present study: Most physical education teachers (98.8%, n=389) correctly recognized the existence of this Act. However, when they were asked whether the Act can be applied to the school setting, 78.2% (n=315) responded ``possibly``, while 10.7% (n=43) said ``impossible.`` Eleven percent of the teachers reported that they ``do not know.`` The results suggested that, in order to successfully implement the Physical Education Promotion Act, multilateral collaboration should be considered among the various educational stake holders (i.e., educational governing bodies, parents and teachers).

        운동갈망 프로파일 연구

        As exercise craving needs to be examined in a systematic way, this research aims at investigating the profile of exercise craving, analyzing the characteristics of exercise participants’ exercise craving, and offers the basic data for follow-up study. Participants were the adults of 19 years old or older at a preparation stage, an action stage and a maintenance stage with the stages of exercise behavior as the standard. Total of 975 male and female participants was used for analysis. Results are as follows. First, it has been found out that there were differences in exercise craving depending on the characteristics of the exercise participants. Second, there were differences in exercise craving according to the stages of exercise behavior, and the stages of exercise behavior have been found to affect exercise craving. Third, it has been concluded that basic psychological needs and exercise craving are correlated and that autonomy, competence and relatedness have influence on exercise craving. Fourth, participation motivation has been found to have correlation with exercise craving and intrinsic and external motivation to affect exercise craving. Fifth, it has been shown that exercise emotion is correlated to exercise craving and that positive emotions exert an effect on exercise craving.

        고 3을 잘 견디는 법 : 고등학생의 신체활동과 학습동기 및 학교적응의 관계

        This study investigates influences of leisure time physical activity (LPA), physical activity competence (PAC) and physical activity intention (PAI) on academic motivation and school adjustment in junior high school students who are having academic-centered school life for entering university. A total of 716 (male 359, female 357) 2nd year high school students from 6 high schools were surveyed with questionnaire of LPAtime, PAC, PAI, academic motivation and school adjustment. Data were utilized by internal consistency reliability, confirmatory factor analysis for validity and reliability of questionnaires. Bivariate correlation analysis, multivariate analysis of variance, and multiple regression analysis were also used. Results showed PAC had significantly influenced on peer-relationship factor of school adjustment. LPA had significantly negative influence on extrinsic academic motivation. PAI had significantly influenced on extrinsic academic motivation and all of school adjustment sub factors. Base on result, LPA participating students might have less dependent personality on academic performance. PAI was discussed with Theory of Planed Behavior (Ajzen, 1991) which considered academic-centered high school life in Korea.
