전복을 육상수조에서 사육하기 위한 먹이 개발을 위하여 육상식물 및 배합사료를 공급하여 대조구인 미역과의 성장도, 생존율 및 먹이효과에 대하여 조사한 결과 1. 배합사료, 미역, 육상식물의 순으로 성장이 빨랐으며 생존율은 큰 차이가 없었다 2. 일간섭식률은 미역과 육상식물이 비슷하였고 배합사료는 이 들의 $30\%$ 수준이었다. 사료전환효율은 미역과 육상식물에 비해 배합사료가 월등히 높았으며 치패 크기가 작을수록 높았다. 3. EFA index, ${{\sum}n9/(20:4n6+20:5n3+22:6n3}$는 건미역이 1.26, 배합사요가 3.64로서 양호 값을 나타냈으나, 깻잎의 경우 127.00으로 나타나 참전복에 유효한 지방산이 거의 없는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 전복 육상수조에서의 사육을 위한 여름철 대체 먹이로는 육상식물보다는 배합안료가 효과적이었다. The study was conducted to develop the suitable abalone's diets for the indoor tank culture. The young abalone Haliotis discus hannai Ino sized ca. 20, 30 and 40 nun in shell length were fed three different diets, dried sea mustard Undaria pinnatifida HARVEY (control), artificial diet and terrestrial plants e. g. Chinese cabbage and Perilla leaf for 2 years. The growth rate of abalones fed an artificial diet was slightly higher than that of abalones from the control. However, the growth rate of abalones from terrestrial plants was significantly lower than that of abalones fed a control or an artificial diet (P< 0.05). The daily feeding rate of young abalones from terrestrial plants was slightly higher than that of abalones from the control. While, that of abalones from an artificial diet was approximately $30\%$ of that of abalones from a control or a terrestrial plants diet. The feed efficiency of abalone from artificail diet was higher than that of abalones from a control or a terrestrial plants diet, and the smaller size of young abalone showed the higher the feed efficiency. The EFA index values ${{\sum}n9/(20:4n6+20:5n3+22:6n3}$ of the dried sea mustard and the artificial diet were 1.26 and 3.64, respectively. These values were favorable, but the value of terrestrial plant, Perilla leaf was 127.00 indicating poor EFA index for normal growth of abalone.

전복을 육상에서 사육하기 위한 시설형태 및 적절한 사육밀도의 구명을 위해 수조형태 및 수용밀도별 사육실험을 한 결과 1. 수조형태, 단별에 따른 성장과 생존율의 차리는 인정되지 않았고, 유수식과 순환식사육의 비교에서는 유수식의 성장도와 생존율이 좋았다. 2. 수조단수별 (3단)에 따른 성장과 생존율의 차이가 인정되지 않아 동일량의 사육수로 단위면적 당 3배의 생산이 가능하였다. 3. 밀도별실험에서 $1000-2000마리/m^2$로 수용한 각장 약 20mm치패는 수용밀도에 따른 성장 차가 없었지만, 각각 200-600, 100-300마리의 밀도로 수용한 각장 약 40mm와 50mm의 치패는 수용밀도가 낮을수록 성장이 빨랐다. 4. 일간섭식률과 사료전환효율은 밀도가 낮을수록 높았고, 치패 크기가 작을수록 높았다 To find out suitable indoor rearing tank shape and stocking density of the abalone Haliotis discus hannai, young abalones were reared in the square or ellipse shape tanks with various stocking densities and were fed dried sea mustard, Undaria Pinnatifida HARVEY for three years. There were no significant differences between the square rearing tank and the ellipse one in growth rate and survival rate. With regard to vertical design of rearing tanks with three floors, the significant differences were not found among culture floors. However, the growth and survival rates of young abalones from the running water system were significantly higher than those of the abalones from the circulating system (P< 0.05). For the stocking density experiment with 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 individuals of 20 mm young abalone, there was no significant differences in growth and survival rates among these groups. However, in that of 200-400 individuals of 40 mm abalone and 100-300 individuals of 50 mm abalone, the lower stocking density of young abalone showed the higher growth and survival rates. The lower stocking density and the smaller size of young abalones showed the higher daily feeding rate and feed efficiency.

Tuberculosis of the pancreas is a rare disorder, little reported in the literature. It may not develop primarily within the pancreas, and may occur secondary to a focus elsewhere in the body. A 50-year-old woman presented with weight loss, epigastric pain and palpable abdominal mass. A diagnosi of inoperab]e carcinoma of the panceas was made after radiologic evaluation. But tubercu- losis of the pancreas was confirmed by sono guided fine needle aspiration biopsy. Completely recovery resulted following the admmistration of antituberculous chemotherapy.

Microangiopathic hemolytic anemia is characterized by erythrocyte fragments (schistocytes) in the peripheral blood smears; in most patients, this is associated with thrombocytopenia. Microangiopathic hemolytic anemia has been described in various diseases, the most common being the hemolytic uremic syndrome, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, malignant hypertension, metastatic carcinoma, preeclampsia and eclampsia. These underlying causes have in common the deposition of fibrin in the small blood vessels, or perhaps an abnormal vascular endothelium. Microangiopathic hemolytic anemia can be improved by heparin, prednisone, aspirin or plasmapheresis. The prognosis depends on the cause. We report a case of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia due to preeclampsia.
만성 이황화탄소중독의 신증상과 신조직검사 소견에 대한 연구

Carbon disulfide(CS₂), a volatile gas used during the processing of viscose rayon synthesis, is known to be a neurotoxin and to cause atherogenesis in the vascular system. This atherogenic effect is thought to be responsible for the renal impairment caused by chronic CS₂ intoxication. The author hereby reports the renal symptoms and kidney biopsy findings of 21 cases of chronic CS₂ intoxication. 1) A total of 21 patients, 16 males and 5 females, with a history of working at a rayon factory were examined. The mean age was 44.4±5.2 years old, and the duration of exposure was 13.4±4.0 years. 2) Of the total 21 cases, four patients were hypertensive and another four had proteinuria. Two of those patients also had azotemia. 3) In kidney biopsy, light microscopy revealed diffuse or nodular glomerular sclerosis in eight cases. Immunoflurorescence microscopy revealed nonspecific focal deposits of C3 and IgM in four cases. Electron microscopy revealed that the basement membranes were significantly thicker with a mean of 656.9±244.7㎚ than the normal thickness(320±10㎚). 4) The above results suggest that kidney biopsy is helpful in the early diagnosis of chronic CS₂ intoxication and that the histologic findings are similar to those of diabetes mellitus.

Formaldehyde is a colorless irritating gas of pungent odor, which is used as a disinfectant, antiseptic, deodorant, tissue fixative and embalming fluid, It is used in the formation of resins, alcohols and acids, and in permanent press processes in the textile industry. If formaldehyde is swallowed, severe abdominal pain and vomiting is immediately noted. Corrosive gastritis can follow with diffuse ulceration, fibrosis and contracture of the stomach, resembling linitis plastica, which may be severe enough to require gastrectomy. We report a case of cicatricial contracted stomach due to the ingestion of formalin.
