        Pseudomonas sp. RRj 228이 분비하는 항균물질의 동정과 고추탄저균 C. acutatum에 대한 항균활성

        식물 근권미생물은 식물의 뿌리 표면과 내부에 정착하면서 식물생장 촉진물질을 분비하여 식물생육에 직접적인 영향을 주거나, 항균물질을 분비하여 병원균으로부터 식물 근권환경을 보호하여 식물의 생육을 촉진하게 된다. 이러한 활성을 갖고 있는 미생물을 분리하여 동정하며, 항균물질을 분리, 동정하여 지속농업의 발전과 농업환경의 보전을 위하여 연구를 실시하였다. 논토양으로부터 식물생육촉진활성과 항균활성을 갖는 RRj 228균주를 분리하여, 생리ㆍ생화학적방법과 유전학적 방법으로 동정한 결과, Pseudomonas sp.로 동정되었다. RRj 228균주는 B. cinerea, P. ultimum, P. capsici와 R. solani에도 높은 항균활성을 보였으며, 특히 고추탄저병원균인 C. acutatum에 강력한 항균활성을 나타냈다. RRj 228균의 배양여액을 C. acutatum, R. solani 및 P. ultimum에 대한 ED50값을 측정한 결과 0.14, 0.16, 0.29 ㎎/ml로 나타났다. 항균활성물질은 RRj 228 배양여액으로부터 각종 크로마토그라피법으로 순수분리하고, NMR과 GC/MS 등의 기기분석을 실시하여 구조를 Phenazine-1-carboxylic acid (분자량 224)로 동정하였다. Microorganisms near the plant rhizosphere usually inhabit the surface or the inside of the plant roots and have a direct effect on plant growth by secreting plant growth promoters or antagonistic materials which protect the root zone system from various pathogens. This study was carried out to identify and isolate the antagonistic materials after isolation of microorganisms showing high antagonistic activities, in hopes of contributing to the development of sustainable agriculture and the preservation of agricultural environments. A number of antagonistic bacteria were isolated from paddy soil. Among isolates, RRj 228 showed plant growth promotion and antagonistic activity. RRj 228 was identified as Pseudomonas sp. according to the results of physiological properties and genetic methods. On the basis of the results of anti-fungal spectrum against several pathogens by RRj 228, the antagonistic effect of the isolate against Botrytis cinerea, Pythium ultimum, Phytopthola capsici, and Rhizoctonia solani, especially against red-pepper anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum acutatum, was remarkable. The experiment evaluating the biological control effect by RRj 228 revealed that the ED50 value by the RRj 228 culture against C. acutatum, R. solani and P. ultimum were 0.14 ㎎/ml, 0.16 ㎎/ml and 0.29 ㎎/ml, respectively. An antagonistic substance was isolated and purified by several chromatographies from the RRj 228 culture. The ¹H and <SUP>13</SUP>C assignment of the antagonistic substance was achieved from two-dimensional ¹H-¹H COSY, HMQC, and HMBC. Finally, the antagonistic substance was identified as Phenazine-1-carboxylic acid (C13H?N₂O₂, M.W.=224).

      • 체육학편 : 공군사관학교 생도의 4년간 체력 변화 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 공군사관학교 제58~61기 생도들을 대상으로 4년간의 체력변화를 분석함으로써 생도 체력관리 실태를 파악하고, 향후 체육교육에 환류하여 생도 체력 향상의 효율적인 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 유용한 자료를 제공하는데 있다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 제58~61기 사관생도들의 기초체력평가(3,000m 달리기/VO2max, 윗몸일으키기, 팔굽혀펴기) 자료를 SPSS 17.0을 이용하여 기술통계 및 반복측정 분산분석을 하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공군사관학교 남·여생도의 심폐지구력(VO2max)은 고학년일수록 향상되는 경향을 보였고, 58기 여생도는 .05 수준에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 공군사관학교 남·여생도의 복근지구력(윗몸일으키기)는 고학년일수록 향상되는 경향을 보였고, 58기 여생도를 제외한 전 학년은 .01 수준에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 공군사관학교 남·여생도의 상체근지구력(팔굽혀펴기)는 고학년일수록 향상되는 경향을 보였고, 전 학년은 .01 수준에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. The Purpose of this study to seek health management and generate new data for the effective health improvement programs by analyzing changes in physical fitness of period of 58-61 cadets. For these purpose, push-up, sit-up and VO2max of period of 58-61 K.A.F.A cadets. All test results including One-way ANOVA and Two-way ANOVA were generated by SPSS 17.0 The results of the research are as follows. First, Cardiorespiratory endurance(VO2max) of the Air Force Academy cadet showed a tendency to improve the more higher grades. And 58th women cadets also showed a significantly difference at the .05 level. Second, Abdominal endurance(sit-up) of the Air Force Academy cadet showed a tendency to improve the more higher grades. And all grades except 58th women cadets showed a significantly difference at the .01 level. Third, Upper body muscular endurance(push-up) of the Air Force Academy cadet showed a tendency to improve the more higher grades. And all grades cadets showed a significantly difference at the .01 level.

        양심탕이 백서의 뇌혈류역학 변화에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : This study was performed to evaluate effects of Yangsim-tang extract (YST) on hemodynamics (regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) and mean arterial blood pressure (MABP) ) in normal rats, and effects of cyclooxygenase and guanylate cyclase under YST. Methods : Laser-Doppler flowmetry (LDF) measured changes of rCBF, and a data acquisition system assembled with MacLab and Macintosh measured changes of MABP. Results : YST significantly increased rCBF, but did not change MABP. Pretreatment with indomethacin significantly inhibited rCBF increased by YST, but pretreatment with methylene blue did not significantly inhibit rCBF increased by YST. Conclusions : YST increases rCBF, and the action of this response is mediated by cyclooxygenase.

        회음혈 봉약침 치료와 팔료혈 자침을 통한 만성전립선염/만성골반통증 증후군 치험 1례

        Objectives: The purpose of this study was to report the effectiveness of Hoeeum Bee-venom Therapy and Balio Acupuncture Treatment in the management of chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome. Methods: A patient with chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome underwent Korean medical treatment, including Hoeeum Bee-venom Therapy and Balio Acupuncture Treatment. The severity of symptoms was assessed with a daily visual analog scale (VAS) for orchialgia and lower abdominal pain. In addition, we measured the National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI) on the first and last days of visit. Results: The patient's symptoms were improved after treatment. The severity of orchialgia was reduced from VAS7 to VAS2, and lower abdominal pain was improved from VAS6 to VAS1. NIH-CPSI decreased from 21 to 5. Conclusion: Hoeeum Bee-venom Therapy and Balio Acupuncture Treatment are effective in treating chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome.

        단삼(丹蔘), 홍화(紅花)가 흰쥐의 뇌허혈에 미치는 영향

        Objectives: This study investigates the effects of Salviae miltiorrhizae Radix, Carthami Flos on Brain ischemia of the rats induced from the Occlusion of Lt. Common Carotid Artery. Methods: I observed effects using light microscopes and examined tissue of parietal lobe and hippocampus and VEGF-immunoreactive cells. Results: A small number of VEGF-immunoreactive cells are observed in the control group. VEGF-immunoreactive cells in Salviae miltiorrhizae Radix-administered group were slightly increased compared with control group. VEGF-immunoreactive cells in Carthami Flos-administered group were significantly increased compared with control group. Neurons of parietal lobe and pyramidal cells of hippocampus in the control group were greatly damaged.(neuronal densitity, form of dendrite and axon) On the other hand, neurons of parietal lobe and pyramidal cells of hippocampus in Salviae miltiorrhizae Radix-administered group were less damaged. Neurons of parietal lobe and pyramidal cells of hippocampus in Carthami Flos-administered group were significantly less damaged compared with control group. Conclusion : Salviae miltiorrhizae Radix, Carthami Flos can effect on stimulating angiogenesis and reducinging the damage of neurons in the rats induced from the Occlusion of Lt. Common Carotid Artery.

        정상압 수두증 환자 1예에 대한 임상적 고찰

        Objective : This study was designed to evaluate the effects of oriental medicine therapy on a normal pressure hydrocephalus patient. Methods : The clinical data was analyzed on a patient with normal pressure hydrocephalus whose main symptoms were dementia, gait disturbance and urinary incontinence. The patient was admitted to the internal medicine department of Dong-shin University Oriental Hospital from December 7, 2002, and remaind until January 20, 2003. He was treated with herbal medicine(Yukmijiwhangtang), acupuncture and moxa therapy. Results : After treatment, improvement was seen in dementia, gait disturbance, and urinary incontinence. Conclusions : The study suggests that oriental medicine therapy is significantly effective on the treatment or normal pressure hydrocephalus.

        베네딕트 증후군 환자의 동안신경마비 치험 1례

        The purpose of this case study is to present a case of oculolmotor nerve palsy due to midbrain infarction improved by acupuncture and herb medicine. Oculomotor nerve palsy is a disorder associated with dysfunction in the third cranial nerve, which causes eye movement disorder, diplopia and ptosis. The patient, who was diagnosed with Benedikt's Syndrome(Red Nucleus Syndrome), was given oriental medical treatment. Benetikt's Syndrome has the various symptoms of weakness on one side(contralateral) and eye movement disorder, ptosis, diplopia(ipsilateral) etc., but research on Benetikt's Syndrome or midbrain infarction is scant. Results of this study suggest a role for conservative therapy with herb medicine and acupuncture to treat oculomotor nerve palsy(eye movement disorder, ptosis, diplopia, etc., ipsilateral) and right motor weakness(contralateral) due to midbrain infarction. Further research into oriental medical treatment for such disorders will be forthcoming.

        화담통락탕(化痰通絡湯)이 백서의 뇌혈류변화 및 허혈성 뇌손상에 미치는 영향

        Objectives & Methods : This present study was performed to investigate the effect of Hwadamtongrak-Tang extract (HTT) on the regulation of cerebral hemodynamics in terms of regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) and mean arterial blood pressure (MABP)] in normal and cerebral ischemic rats. Also the effects of HTT on changes in local blood flow, inhibition of LD H activity in neuronal cells, and levels of cytokine production in the serum were determined in the ischemic rat model. The major findings are summarized below. Results : 1. HTT significantly increased rCBF in a dose-dependent manner, but MABP was not changed by HTT treatment. These results suggest that HTT may increase rCBF by dilating cerebral arterial diameter. 2. HTT-induced increase in rCBF was blocked by pretreatment with cyclooxygenase inhibitor indomethacin (IDN, 1 mg/kg, i.p.) and MABP was significantly increased by ID N. 3. Pretreatment of methylene blue $(MTB,\;10\;{\mu}g/kg,\;i.p.)$, an inhibitor of guanylate cyclase, significantly decreased both rCBP and MABP in HTT-treated rats. 4. HTT treatment significantly increased rCBP to a stable level during the period of cerebral reperfusion. 5. HTT significantly inhibited LD H activity in neuronal cells, suggesting a neuroprotection by HTT. 6. Serum interleukin $(IL)-1{\beta}$ and tumor necrosis factor $(TNF)-{\alpha}$ levels were significantly decreased in the femoral artery 1 hr after middle cerebral arterial occlusion in HTT-treated rats. IL-10 levels in the serum were significantly increased by HTT treatment whereas transforming growth factor $(TGF)-{\beta}$ levels were similar between HTT-treated and control groups. 7. Serum interleukin $(IL)-1{\beta}$ and tumor necrosis factor $(TNF)-{\alpha}$ levels were significantly decreased in the femoral artery 1 hr after reperfusion in HTT-treated rats. Serum IL-10 levels were significantly decreased in HTT-treated rats compared with the control group, and no significant changes in $(TGF)-{\beta}$ in the serum were observed by HTT treatment. Conclusions: The present data suggest that HTT may have an anti-ischemic effect via the improvement of cerebral hemodynamics and thus protect the brain from ischemic damage.
