        Molecular dyad exhibiting strong multi‐resonance blue fluorescence

        A multi‐resonance (MR) fluorophore exhibiting circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) holds a significant promise for enhancing the utility of organic light‐emitting devices. To meet this demand, we have devised molecular dyads having azaoxaborin MR emitters based on homochiral ( R )‐ and ( S )‐1,1′‐bi‐2‐naphthol. The synthesized 12,12′‐di‐ tert ‐butyl‐9,9′‐bi(8,8′‐dioxa‐4b,4′b‐diaza‐14b,14′b‐diborafluorantheno[1,2,3‐ de ]tetracene) products (TBNBOCz) exhibit strong blue fluorescence, with a remarkable 100% fluorescence quantum yield and an extremely narrow full width at half‐maximum of 22 nm. However, unexpectedly, TBNBOCz exhibits negligible electric circular dichroism and CPL activities. Chiroptical investigations into the reaction precursors reveals an occurrence of racemization in the borylation step. This result emphasizes the importance of understanding synthetic processes and their impact on the chiroptical properties.         A-마트 저온제품 종합물류센터 실시설계를 위한 시뮬레이션

        본 논문에서는 A-마트 저온제품 종합물류센터 실시설계 대안별 검증을 통해 신뢰성을 향상하고, 추가 보완사항을 발굴하여 개선하고, 설계의 편의를 제공하기 위한 시뮬레이션 모델을 개발하여 물류센터 설비 및 레이아웃, 운영 방안에 대해 종합적인 대안을 제시하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통한 총 5가지 품종을 65점별로 분류하는 작업장과 각 마트별 출고 대기장을 모델링에 반영하였으며, 운영시간 내에 처리 가능한 작업 파트별 작업자의 수와 작업자 가동률, 각 작업 대기장 및 하역장의 대기용량의 수준을 평가요소로 반영하였다. 또한 입/출고 도크의 가동률과, 팔레트 처리를 위한 운반장비의 가동률을 성능평가 요소로 반영하였다. 개발된 시뮬레이션 모델에서는 실제감 있는 2차원 애니메이션을 통해 시뮬레이션상의 물류의 이상 발생을 시각화하여 보여주도록 하였다. 시뮬레이션의 결과에 대한 평가 요소 및 대안별 정량적 분석을 통해 A-마트 저온제품 종합물류센터의 종합적인 운영방안을 제시하였다. This paper deals with the simulation model for design and operations of A-Mart logistic center for low temperature products. In developed simulation model, receiving docks, digital classification system (DCS), shipping docks, material handling devices and manual sorting stations are considered. Five types of cargo such as fruits, palletized fruits, delicatessen and fisheries, vegetables and refrigerated cargoes are considered. The simulation model and process animation are developed using the simulation package ARENA. Among various design and operation alternatives consisting of the number of workers of receiving dock, allocation of receiving docks by cargo types, DCS capacity, the number of folk-lift, the number of manual sorting operators and overall layout, the best alternatives of each subsystem are selected by simulation analysis. The major performance measures such as DCS throughput, utilization of operators at each station, receiving docks utilization and folk-lift utilization are considered for the alternative evaluation.

        A-마트 상온 제품 종합물류센터 실시설계를 위한 시뮬레이션

        This paper deals with the simulation model for A-Mart logistic center design and operations. In developed simulation model, receiving docks, conveyor sorter, conveyor system, shipping docks, material handling devices and manual sorting stations are considered. Three types of cargo such as transfer center cargo, distribution center cargo and supermarket cargo are considered. The simulation model and process animation are developed using the simulation package ARENA. Among various design and operation alternatives consisting of the number of workers of receiving dock, allocation of receiving docks by cargo types, conveyor sorter velocity, the number of folk-lift, the number of manual sorting operators and overall layout, the best alternatives of each subsystem are selected by simulation analysis. The major performance measures such as sorter throughput, utilization of operators at each station, receiving docks utilization and folk-lift utilization are considered for the alternative evaluation.

        시뮬레이션 기법을 이용한 철도차량 중정비 공장 설계검증 - 디젤동차 및 발전차 중정비 공장을 중심으로 -

        In the railroad rolling stock depot, long-term maintenance tasks is done regularly every two or four year basis to maintain the functionality of equipments and rolling stock body or for the repair operation of the heavily damaged rolling stocks by fatal accidents. This paper addresses the computer simulation model building for the rolling stock maintenance shop for the CDC(Commuter Diesel Car) and Generator Car planned to be constructed at Daejon Rolling Stock Depot, which will be moved from Yongsan Rolling Stock Depot. We evaluated the processing capacity of two layout design alternatives based on the maintenance process chart through the developed simulation models. The performance measures are the number of processed cars per year, the cycle time, shop utilization, work in process and the average number waiting car for input. The simulation result shows that one design alternative outperforms another design alternative in every aspect and superior design alternative can process total 340 number of trains per year 15% more than the proposed target within the current average cycle time.

      • Estimation of the size of the iatrogenic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease outbreak associated with cadaveric dura mater grafts in Korea

        OBJECTIVES: This study estimated the overall incidence of iatrogenic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (iCJD) based on dura graft cases in Korea using a mathematical model. METHODS: We estimated the number of annual dura grafts performed between 1980 and 1995 by applying the proportion of dura grafts recorded by the Health Insurance Review Agency claim dataset in Korea to the number of nationwide neurosurgery cases. The distribution of the incubation period was assumed to fall under a Weibull distribution with density function or a log-logistic distribution with density function. RESULTS: The total number of neurosurgery procedures performed from 1980 to 1995 was estimated to be 263,945, and among those operations, 37% used dura graft products. Between the years of 1980 and 2020, our model predicted that the total number of iCJD cases would be between 14.9 and 33.2 (95% confidence interval [CI], 13.4 to 50.9). Notably, we estimated that the cumulative number of iCJD cases caused by dura grafts between 1980 and 2011 was approximately 13.3 to 27.3 (95% CI, 12.2 to 40.6). CONCLUSIONS: Based on our model, we postulate that the incidence of iCJD will sharply decline from 2012 to 2020. However, additional new cases are still expected, which necessitates a strong national surveillance system.

      • Frequency of Humidifier and Humidifier Disinfectant Usage in Gyeonggi Provine

        Objectives: This study is a cross-sectional study to investigate the frequency of humidifier and humidifier disinfectant usage in the general population. Methods: A questionnaire was applied to 94 subjects (46 male, 48 female) from the general population of Gyeonggi Province. The questionnaire consisted of 3 scales (general characteristics, 5 items about humidifier usage, 5 items about humidifier disinfectant usage). Results: Thirty-five (37.2%) of the 94 subjects use a humidifier and humidifier disinfectant usage was found to be 18.1%. The frequency of humidifier usage is 4.8 times per a week and the humidifier disinfectant usage is 2.4 times per a week. Humidifier usage rate was highest in January. and then tended to rise gradually from October. Conclusions: Although this study population was not representative, we can say that approximately 50 percent of the humidifier users use a humidifier disinfectant and the trend of using a humidifier has shown seasonality.
