Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) is an integrated, computer controlled complex of automated matrerial handling devices numerically controlled machine tools that can simultaneously process medium-sized volumes of a variety of part types. This paper discusses planning problems that can be solved for efficient use of an FMS and present an integrated decision support system for FMS production planning and scheduling problems. FMSDS (Flexible Manufacturing Systems Decision Support System) consists of data handling modules, part selection module, loading module, load adjusting module, scheduling module and simulation module etc. This paper presents the solution methodology of each subproblems and integrated between subproblems using hierarchical approaches and loop controls considering the relationships between subproblems.
G² Continuity Smooth Path Planning using Cubic Polynomial Interpolation with Membership Function

Path planning algorithms are used to allow mobile robots to avoid obstacles and find ways from a start point to a target point. The general path planning algorithm focused on constructing of collision free path. However, a high continuous path can make smooth and efficiently movements. To improve the continuity of the path, the searched waypoints are connected by the proposed polynomial interpolation. The existing polynomial interpolation methods connect two points. In this paper, point groups are created with three points. The point groups have each polynomial. Polynomials are made by matching the differential values and simple matrix calculation. Membership functions are used to distribute the weight of each polynomial at overlapped sections. As a result, the path has continuity. In addition, the proposed method can analyze path numerically to obtain curvature and heading angle. Moreover, it does not require complex calculation and databases to save the created path.

본 논문에서는 RFIC 설계에 응용 가능한 인덕터의 Quality factor 및 Effective inductance를 비교 분석하기 위해 Octagonal 인덕터를 90nm CMOS 공정을 이용하여 제작하였다. 내부반경을 설계변수로 갖는 인덕터의 경우 내부반경이 증가함에 따라 Quality factor가 감소하고 Effective inductance의 값이 증가하였다. 회전수를 설계변수로 갖는 인덕터의 경우 금속의 회전수가 증가함에 따라 Quality factor의 값이 감소하고 Effective inductance의 값이 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 RFIC 회로 설계에 있어서 인덕터의 구조는 Q-factor 및 inductance 각각의 상대적 중요도에 따라 선택 되어져야 된다고 할 수 있다. In this paper, octagonal inductors for RFIC designs was fabricated with 90nm CMOS Technology to compare its quality factor and the effective inductance as functions of radius and number of turn. The quality factor decreases as the inner radius and the number of metal turned increase. However, the effective inductance increases with the increasing the inner radius and the number of metal turned. Therefore, the inductor structure should be decided according to the relative importance of Q-factor and inductance.
신장이식 환자에 있어서 Cyclosporin-A에 의한 치은비대의 치험례

The authors treated a 58-year old female patient who had come to the Department of Oral Medicine, KNUH due to the chief complaints of gingival enlargement and bleeding on the upper and lower jaw. The lesions were diagnosed as cyclosporin-A induced gingival enlargement by patient's history and clinical examination. The patient was treated with gingivectomy using pulsed Nd:YAG laser. After gingivectomy the wound was compressed with 0.1% chlorhexidine-soaked gauze to prevent relapse of the lesion. Good healing process was observed and there were no recurrences until 3-month follow-up visit. From the results of this clinical trial it was suggested that a pulsed Nd:YAG laser gingivectomy would be helpful for the treatment of cyclosporin-A induced gingival enlargement in renal transplant patients.
시뮬레이션 기법을 이용한 컨테이너 터미널 하역 능력 추정

Container handling facilities in Korean ports have increased rapidly according to Korean industrialization and the worldwide containerization. Over 98% of total containers handles in Korean ports are handled in Puan ports. This paper presents the estimation method of annual container handling capacity of container terminals by the computer simulation models. Simulation models are developed utilizing SIMAN IV simulation package. Annual handling capacity of real container terminals such as BCTOC and PECT was estimated by the proposed simulation models. Also, Annual handling capaicty of planned or expected terminals in Puan port was estimated. The comparisons between container forecast demand and estimated handling capacity of Pusan port from 1996 through 2001 were made. It showed that Pusan port will have over two million TEU handling capacity shortage during that period and will face enormous port congestion. Lastly, mid term and long-term capacity expansion plansof container terminals in korean ports were discussed.

Flexible manufacturing system (FMS) is an integrated, computer controlled complex of automated material handing devices and numerically controlled machine tools that can simultaneously process medium-sized volumes of a variety of part types. This paper discusses a set of five production planning problems that can be solved for efficient use of an FMS and addresses specifically loading problem. This loading problem is first formulated in detail as nonlinear 0-1 mixed integer programs. Five different object functions are considered. Tool slot capacity, system or machine efficiency level, tool life, tool availability and routings are considered as constraints. In an effort to develop solution methodologies for this problems, linearization method is developed. A solution of example loading problem by this model is presented.
