        A Study on Spatial Design Configuration Based on Re-appropriation Characteristics of Adaptive Space

        (Background and Purpose) The convergence of various technologies in the 4th industrial revolution requires spatial flexibility through extension of relationships. The existing simple physical variability is fusing space and space users in more innovative ways. This study tried to approach this point of view in the direction of adaptive space. Various modifications of adaptive space converge to the value of place, leading to its re-appropriation, and it is intended to study how this affects space designers. Atypicality, characteristics of organic space, variable structure, introduction of new technologies, and hyperconnection of the Internet of Things are creating a new design paradigm by extending the areas of spatial awareness. (Method) In order to enhance the value of adaptive space, this study first checked the theory of the field of adaptive space, and mentioned Deleuze's nonrepresentation as a process. Later, a variable planning methodology was presented to discuss the re-appropriation characteristic from a difference-generating point of view. Based on it, it was defined that adaptive space contains physical, non-physical, and artificial functions, and a detailed study was conducted by configuring the case analysis of the narrative method. Based on these results, it is intended to suggest spatial values and directions of modification and re-appropriation. (Results) The characteristics of modification and re-appropriation of adaptive space contain variable functionality. Six frames were proposed as a classification system for each function. The six classification systems of responsive, module, adaptable, integrative, space-saving and openened are related to the re-appropriation characteristic as a spatial characteristic. Responsiveness and module structure, was explained from the perspective of responding to space users, and adaptable and integrative structure, was explained as a non-physical function with temporality and adaptation. Lastly, space-saving and openened structure, is a fusion characteristic summarized from the perspective of social values and user behavior. These are characteristics that express the validity of various designs as a re-appropriated space characteristic. (Conclusions) As spatial design encounters advanced technology and is considered as a convergence space, the realization of space is facing various changes. The technology to build a smart environment supports the spatiality of modification, which has ushered in the era of adaptive space. The re-appropriation of adaptive space extends the usability of modern space through modification, and is evolving with various temporal and place values. This study focused on three perspectives. The first is that space is a continuous flow space rather than a single unit, the second is that time is inherent in the spatial program from various perspectives, and the third is that boundaries are perceived differently by space users. The re-appropriation characteristics of adaptive space are expected to be reflected in various design practices against the background.

        스포츠 브랜드 매장의 VMD 개선을 위한 디지털 사이니지 적용 가치 평가에 관한 연구

        진화하고 있는 여러 가지 커뮤니케이션의 도구들은 인간의 생활 방식과 인식의 영역에 많은 변화를 초래하고 있다. 상업 공간에서의 뉴 미디어의 적용은 새로운 커뮤니케이션 도구로서, 브랜드의 이미지 변화와 판매 방식의 진화에 많은 도움을 줄 것이라고 본다. 이 중 디지털 사이니지는 고객 감응형 뉴 미디어로서 브랜드의 새로운 경쟁력이 될 것이라고 확신한다. 본 연구는 매년 성장하고 있는 디지털 사이니지 시장을 검토하여, 이의 적용이 스포츠 브랜드 VMD 분야에서의 효율 극대화에 어떠한 영향을 끼칠 것인가에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 기존 판매 공간에서의 고객 인지 미디어를 유형 분석하여 보았으며, 이를 대체할 수 있는 디지털 사이니지의 유형을 사례 분석하여 보았다. 그리고 특정 매장 적용을 통한 매장 인지, 고객 유입, 제품 인지 및 평가, 제품구입, 이벤트 정보 인지 등의 고객 구매 행태를 분석하여 보았다. 결과적으로, 디지털 사이니지의 적용이 매출 증가 및 브랜드 이미지 재고로 이어질 수 있음을 평가, 제안하였다. As communication tools have evolved in many different directions, they have changed the way people live and perceive different stimuli in various human activities. Especially, the adoption of new media has great potential to change brand image and to improve sales methods in commercial areas. Among these emerging media, digital signage is one of the most competitive, even interactive, communication tools that can easily affect and adapt to consumers’ behaviors. This study is to examine the potential of ever growing digital signage market to find the degree to which the adoption of digital signage can bring in sports VMD area in terms of maximizing visual effectiveness. Also, this study includes case studies that what types of media people can recognize in existing sales environments and what types of digital signage can replace current media channels. Also, this study analyzes consumer behaviors based on the degree of store recognition, influx of customers, product recognition and evaluation, purchasing, and promotional event recognition in a certain digital signage installed retail store. In conclusion, the study suggests that the adoption of digital signage can lead to increase in sales and to improve brand image.

      • Support Vector Regression을 이용한 협동 추천 시스템

        방대하고 무질서한 현재 인터넷 환경에서 원하는 정보를 찾는 것은 쉽지 않은 문제이다. 이를 위해, 웹 정보를 수집하고 정보를 추출하거나 사용자와 관련 있는 정보를 적절히 추천해주는 시스템의 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 연속성 피드백 데이터를 이용한 사용자 모델링 방법을 제시하였으며, 이를 이용하여 웹 페이지 예측을 수행하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 이를 위해 Support Vector Regression 기법을 도입하여 사용자 모델링 알고리즘을 설계하였다. 실험 결과, 이 모델링 기법이 기존 알고리즘 보다 매우 적은 시간을 요구하면서도 비슷한 성능을 보임을 검증하였다. It is never easy to find desired information from the ever growing Internet. Therefore, a recommendation system that collects and extracts information from the web is acquiring great attentions. In this paper, we have proposed a user modeling method based on the continuous feedback data and we had implemented a system that predicts a web page using the method just described. In order to implement the system, we designed a user modeling algorithm by using Support Vector Regression method. In the experiment. we verified that the proposed modeling method, compared to with the existing methods, takes lesser time while the whole performance remained unchanged.

        A Study on the Modification of Spatial Design to Enhance the Adaptive Environment

        (Background and Purpose) Contemporary spatial design is excessively formalistic and structural. If it is assumed that the result of spatial design is divided into a representative part and a None-Representative part, which is a representational result, having the excuse of efficiency. In the future, space will have a paradigm of diversity based on differences(None-Representative point of view). This study tries to examine space modification as a methodology to achieve the diversity. In order to enhance an adaptive environment, design planning that emphasizes the perspective of modification based on variable characteristics is required, and the purpose of this study is to prove that the modification of spatial design has a value as an alternative space. (Methods) In order to raise the value of the adaptive environment, this study first organized the academic theories of related concepts, and conducted a spatial design perspective study on modification as a related study. Next, based on it, it tried to derive the characteristics of the physical, non-physical, and human elements of the modification of spatial design, and as a result, six characteristics of 'Responsive characteristic, 'Module characteristic', 'Adaptable characteristic', 'Integrative characteristic', 'Space-saving characteristic', and 'Opened characteristic' were derived and analyzed. With it, the framework of case analysis was constructed from the perspective of spatially variable elements, and a related analysis study was conducted. Based on the results, it intended to discuss spatial directions. (Results) As mentioned above, space modification for the enhancement of adaptive environment can be analyzed to six characteristics as mentioned above(Responsive characteristic, Module characteristic, Adaptable characteristic, Integrative characteristic, Space-saving characteristic, and Opened characteristic), and this appears as a spatial design methodology through usability-based detailed characteristics of place modification (continuity, mobility, changeability, temporality, placeness, variability, diversity, relationship, and complexity). As a result of case analysis based on it, it suggested the linked value of detailed spatial elements of design modification and the enhancement of adaptive environment. (Conclusion) In the study of the field and direction of spatial design, it demonstrated the value of the enhancement of adaptive environment, and tried to organize it into a framework. In addition, it suggested the extended value of the analysis framework, based on which the possibility of various researches was proposed. In the future, it is suggested that the study of the modification of spatial design of the adaptive environment can lead to the study of the re-appropriation system based on the demands of a space user.

        유니버설디자인 가상 체험관 디자인 개발에 관한 연구

        (Background and Purpose) Currently, society is facing a change in social paradigm, emphasizing pluralistic values rather than presentative unitary values, and one in which minorities can be respected. Universal Design (UD), design for everyone, is a necessary and sufficient design philosophy and methodology in accordance with pluralistic values. In this study, we planned a UD virtual experience center for basic UD education and attempted to conduct research on its design methodology. To this end, it aimed to raise awareness of the value through effective UD education and to consider the expansion of operations and exchanges by evaluating online experience centers in various ways after analyzing the influence and effectiveness of online education as a substitute for offline education. (Method) First, the study reviewed previous studies on online education and experience centers for the composition of UD virtual experience centers and examined their effects. Second, it classified the cases of various virtual experience centers and organized the characteristics and advantages of each case. Based on this, the main planning directions for the virtual experience center and the derived design elements were summarized. Third, it proceeded with the outline of content composition, theater scenarios, a VR theater, the composition of the UD experience center, character design, and the production of UD mini-games to build scenarios and frames for the UD virtual experience center. Since it is an online education and experience center, it included entertainment elements, such as VR techniques and games, for the users to proceed with education without losing interest. (Results) We organized content with both information and interest by providing an installation-free platform that users of UD experience centers can access easily and quickly. It set the direction of the virtual experience center to function as professional education by linking it with related professional education in the process of delivering UD information. This allowed educational users to experience UD-applied spaces at 360° VR. They can experience UD in various situations through the characters they play, so that it naturally increases their understanding of UD and ensures that education has been effectively made while playing at the experience center. A mini-game was added to arouse users' interest, and the content in the game was also produced based on the UD application guidelines to provide education. (Conclusions) Conducting UD education at a virtual experience center positively stimulates cognition and behavior, and it will be possible for users to explore educational content on their own through the extension of personal social media. It is hoped that attentive social culture will be settled through the UD Virtual Experience Center.

        브랜드공간의 유심적 가치 확장 가능성에 관한 연구

        (Background and Purpose)Advances in science and technology based on Western materialism have brought material prosperity. As a result, however, the mechanical and deterministic point of view has drained people mentally and emotionally. As a result, the materialistic point of view has become an issue in modern society, and a pursuit of immaterialism in spatial design can be an alternative solution. (Method)This study aims to find the root-mind of people who use space and to analyze the immaterial value of brand space. Furthermore, the study analyzes the interaction between human cognitive areas and the spatial traits of brands, accompanied by the Eighth Consciousness, in brand space to determine how the traits of immaterial spatial plans and psychological relationships can influence consumers in the space. (Result)In modern society, particularly in the commercial space, the deterministic point of view only suggests fragmentary space with stimuli that aim to increase sales by changing people's minds. However, if we would be possible develop the structural mind that senses spatial perception and extends brand space connectivity, it would be possible to have a better systematic structure that is enhanced by communication with consumers. (연구배경 및 목적) 서양 유물론을 기반으로 한 과학과 기술의 발전은 물질의 풍요로움을 가져왔지만, 그에 수반한 기계론적, 결정론적 세계관은 인간의 마음과 정서의 메마름을 가져왔다고 생각한다. 이러한 물심(物心)의 불균형은 현대 사회에서 반드시 해결해야만 하는 과제이며, 공간 디자인 분야에서의 유심적 가치 추구는 이를 위한 하나의 대안이라고 생각한다. (연구방법) 공간 사용의 주체인 인간의 근원적 마음에 대하여 알아보고, 이를 바탕으로 브랜드공간에서의 유심 가치에 대하여 분석하여 보았다. 유식론을 근거로 인식의 영역과 공간적 특성을 분석하여, 유심적인 공간 안에서의 인간과 공간의 관계 맺음 특성에 대하여 연구하였으며, 브랜드공간에서의 유심적 공간 계획 특성을 도출하여 이들이 공간 소비자의 심리적 관계 맺음에 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있는지를 알아보았다. (결과) 현대의 결정론적인 사고방식은, 특히 상업 공간에서 자극을 통한 심리 변화로 매출을 이끌어내는 단편적인 공간만을 제안하고 있다. 유식 사상 안에서, 장소의 인식을 명확히 감지하는 마음의 구조와 브랜드공간의 연계성을 확대시켜 나간다면, 고객 소통의 확장을 통한 더 나은 공간 구조를 계획할 수 있을 것이라 본다.

      • 다이카바메이트 합성 반응에서의 조촉매로써의 이온성 액체의 활성과 반응 후 조촉매 회수

        다이아민 산화 카보닐화 반응은 다이카바메이트 직접 합성의 한 반응으로써, 이산화탄소 개질을 통해 생성된 일산화탄소와 수소를 모두 활용할 수 있는 반응 경로임과 동시에, 기존 포스겐 활용이 필수적인 다이이소시아네이트 공정을 대체할 수 있는 반응으로 주목받고 있다. 그러나 다이카바메이트 합성메커니즘에는 할라이드 계열 조촉매가 필수적으로 관여하지만, 지금까지 보고된 연구에서는 활용후 조촉매를 회수 후 재활용하려는 시도는 제안되지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 기존 무기염 대신 할라이드 기반의 다양한 이온성 액체를 다이카바메이트 합성 반응의 조촉매로 활용하는 가능성을 확인하였다. 또한, 반응 후 활용 조촉매 회수 방법을 확인하고, 이를 활용하여 반응 활성을 확인하였다.

        비표상적 가치 체계를 기반으로 한 장소성의 변용에 관한 연구

        (연구배경 및 목적) 카오스 이론에서 이야기하는 것처럼, 세상의 구성 원리는 다양성에 기초한 차이들의 집합으로 이루어져 있다. 때문에, 영구적이고, 고정적인 것은 없으며, 변화하는 세상의 흐름 속에서 함께 순환하는 가치를 추구해야만 할 것이다. 공간 디자인의 경우에도, 구축되어진 공간은 언제나 공간 디자이너의 의도한 계획대로만 사용되지는 않을 것이다. 사회적 상황 변화에 따라서 공간 사용성은 변화하고, 이를 기반으로 장소 가치는 변화하며, 시간성과 추억은 축적되게 된다. 이러한 장소 변용에 대한 연구는, 보다 더 나은 지속가능한 공간 디자인을 만들게 해주는 지표가 될 것이다. 본 연구는 비표상적 공간 가치를 정립하여, 학술적인 체계화를 진행하고, 이를 기반으로 장소성의 사회적 가치 및 방향성을 개선시키고, 프로그램 중심의 다양한 차이 생성적 변용이 이루어지는 대안 공간이 생성되도록 하는데, 그 목적이 있다. (연구방법) 본 연구는 우선 비표상적 공간의 가치 제고를 위해서, 비표상 개념의 학술적인 이론을 정리했으며, 이의 과정으로 후기 구조주의, 포스트 모더니즘과 해체주의 이론을 정리하였다. 이후 이를 통해서 공간의 차이 생성적 가치 체계를 구축하고자, 르페브르와 들뢰즈의 이론을 정리하였다. 다음으로 가변 계획 방법론 연구를 통해서, 장소 변용의 가변적 공간 특성을 정리하였고, 이를 중심으로 사례 분석의 틀을 구성하여, 사례 연구를 진행하였다. 이의 결과 값을 근거로 하여, 장소 변용과 관련한 공간 가치 체계를 제시하고자 하였다. (결과) 비표상적 가치 체계를 기반으로 한 장소성의 변용은 크게 물리적, 비 물리적, 인적 분야로 나누어져서 공간 특성이 드러나게 된다. 가변 공간 특성 분석으로 장소성 변용 특성(연속성, 이동성, 안정성, 시간성, 장소성, 변이성, 다양성, 관계성, 복합성)을 도출할 수 있었고, 이를 사례 분석의 틀로 삼아서 5가지 물리적 특성(반응형, 모듈형, 적응형, 절약형, 확장형) 기반의 장소성 변용에 관한 사례 연구를 진행하였다. 이의 결과로서 가변 공간 특성과 장소 변용 특성의 연계 가치를 제언하였다. (결론) 공간디자인 분야에서 비표상적 사유가 어떠한 학술적 가치를 갖고 있는지에 대해서 논증하였고, 이를 프레임으로 정리하였다. 또한, 이러한 분석 프레임을 기초로 하여 다양한 확장 연구의 가능성을 구체적으로 제시하였으며, 향후 장소 변용 연구가 행동적 화용론 기반의 파급적 구조로 이어질 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다. (Background and Purpose) The Chaos Theory states that the constitutive principle of the world consists of a set of differences based on diversity. Due to this, there is nothing permanent and fixed, and we will have to pursue values that circulate together in the changing world. Even in space design, the constructed space will not always be used as intended by the space designer. As the social situation changes, the usability of space changes, and on this basis, the value of the place will change while time and memories will be accumulated. Studies on such place modifications will be an indicator of better sustainable spatial design. This study was intended to establish the non-representational spatial value, conduct academic systematization, and subsequently improve the social value and direction of placedness, and create an alternative space where various difference-generating modifications centered around the programs could be achieved. (Methods) First, this study summarized the academic theories of non-representational concepts, and for such a process, compiled the theories of post-structuralism, postmodernism, and deconstructionism to increase the value of non-representational space. Subsequently, the theories of Lefebvre and Deleuze were summarized to establish a difference-generating value system of space through aforesaid process. Then, variable spatial characteristics of place modification were summarized through an investigation of variable planning methodology, and thereafter, a framework for case analyses was formed to conduct the analysis of cases. (Results) Based on the resulting values, a spatial value system associated with modification of place was intended to be proposed. Modification of placedness based on a non-representational value system is largely classified into physical, non-physical, and human fields, thereby revealing the spatial characteristics. The analysis of variable spatial characteristics can lead to the derivation of placedness modification characteristics (continuity, mobility, stability, temporality, placedness, variability, diversity, relationship, and complexity). By using that as a framework, the case analysis associated with placedness modification on the basis of five physical characteristics (responsive, modular, adaptive, economical, and extended types) was carried out. Based on the results, the value linking the variable spatial characteristics and place modification characteristics was recommended. (Conclusion) We demonstrated the kind of academic value that non-representational reasoning would have in the field of space, and summarized that through a frame. Moreover, we presented the possibility of various expansion studies based on such an analytical frame, and proposed the likelihood that the study on place modification could lead to a ripple structure based on behavioral pragmatics.
