      • 컴퓨터 보조학습(CAI)이 청각장애 중·고등학생의 수학 문장제 문제 해결능력에 미치는 효과

        청각장애 학생들의 교육에 있어서 가장 중요한 문제는 그들이 가진 교육 가능성에 비해 실제로 나타나는 교육 성취 수준이 상대적으로 낮은 데 있다.청력의 손실로 인한 기초학력 지체 및 특히 고차원적 사고 능력과 언어 능력이 필요한 수학 문장제 문제에 있어서 많은 어려움을 겪게 된다.컴퓨터 보조학습은 다양한 교육적 요구를 가진 학생들에게 효율적으로 개별화 된 교수를 제공할 수 있으며,전통적인 교수 자료의 단점을 극복하여 다감각적인 자료를 제공하는 것과 같이 학습과제를 학습자 개개인의 요구에 맞추어 제시할 수 있는 교수방법이다.본 연구에서는 서울 시내 A 청각장애 특수학교에 재학 중인 청각장애 중·고등부 학생들을 대상으로 방과 후에 청각장애학생들이 어려움을 보이는 수학 문장제 문제 지도를 위한 컴퓨터 보조학습 프로그램을 개발하여 시행하였다.연구 결과.청각장애 학생의 수학 문장제 문제 해결 정확도(맞은 문항의 수)는 전통적인 방식으로 수업을 한 통제 집단보다 컴퓨터 보조학습을 실시한 실험 집단에서 유의하게 향상되었으며,수학 문장제 문제해결 유창성(분당 맞은 문항의 수)에서도 실험 집단이 유의하게 향상되었다.이러한 연구 결과는 청각장애학생의 학습 특성을 반영하여 개발된 컴퓨터 보조학습이 청각장애 학생들의 수학 문장제 문제 해결능력을 향상시키기 위한 교수방법의 하나로서 적용할 수 있음을 시사한다고 볼 수 있다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the Computer Assisted Instruction(CAI) in the mathematical word problem solving instruction for students with hearing impairments. Specially developed tutorial type CAI was used to enhance math word problems solving ability of students with hearing impairment. Participants were twelve middle school and high school students with hearing impairments. They were divided into two group based on IQ test(Korean-WISC-Ⅲ), arithmetic test and reading test, pure-tone audiometry and selection test. CAI program was used for the experiment group and controlled group received traditional math instruction. Self-made mathematical word problems solving test was sued as pre and posttest. Mann-Whitney correlation test was used for the analysis of data about differences of mathematical word problems solving ability with accuracy and fluency between two groups. The results of this study showed that significant difference was found between experimental group and control group in mathematical word problem solving ability both on accuracy and fluency. The result from this study indicates that specifically developed math problems solving CAI program has a positive effect on accuracy and fluency of students with hearing impairment.

        Effect of Vesicle Curvature on Phospholipase D Reaction-Induced-Rupture

        Spherical phospholipid-bilayers, vesicles, were prepared using the layer-by-layer double emulsion technique, which allows the bilayer to be formed asymmetrically. On the outer layer of the vesicles, the phospholipase D (PLD) reacted to convert phosphatidylcholine (PC) to phosphatidic acid (PA). The reaction induced the curvature change of the vesicles, which eventually led to rupture. The response time from the time of PLD injection to the time of rupture was measured against different vesicle curvatures and the outer layer phase, using the fluorescence intensity change of a pH-sensitive dye encapsulated within the vesicles. The effect of the vesicle curvature on the response was observed to be more significantly dramatic at the solid phase, compared to the liquid phase. Furthermore, in the solid phase, the response time was faster for 80 and 155 nm vesicles and, slower for 605 nm vesicles than similarly sized vesicles in the liquid phase vesicles. This difference in the response time was thought to result from the configuration determined by the phase difference and the PLD behavior.

        Modulation of chromatic reversibility of polydiacetylene Langmuir Schafer (LS) films by cadmium ion Ad/desorption

        Although the reversibility of 10, 12-pentacosadiynoic amino meta-acid (PCDA-mBzA) against temperature and pH was reported, the modulation of reversibility by ion adsorption at terminal functional group has not been investigated. In this work, we developed a simple method for modulating the reversibility of PCDA-mBzA films upon a thermal stimulus by cadmium ion adsorption inducing the breakage of the outer hydrogen bonding of two hydrogen bonds, which are responsible for the reversible properties of PCDA-mBzA. External reflection-Fourier transform infrared (ER-FTIR) analyses revealed that the hydrogen bonding between the carboxylic acid groups was broken through ion adsorption and only a single hydrogen bond between the amide groups remained in the PCDA-mBzA polymer. In addition, PCDA-mBzA films could recover their original property through cadmium ion desorption. These results present that the transition between reversibility and irreversibility can be modulated artificially simply through the adsorption and desorption of metal ions.

      • 상피종양의 keratin 생성능에 대한 전자현미경적 연구

        Keratins are characteristically present in all keratinizing and nonkeratinizing epithelial cells and their neoplasms. They consist of at least 19 different polypeptides ranging from 40 to 69 kilodaltons, which are developmentally related to specific epithelial cell types. Keratins of high and intermediate molecular weights are readily demonstrated in squamous cell carcinomas, which are characteristically rich in tonofilaments and tonofilament-desmosome complexes. Keratins of low molecular weights are expressed in adenocarcinoma including renal cell carinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, small cell carcinoma, and carcinoid tumor. These tumors do not reveal any tonofilaments and sacrcely show discrete filaments on electron microscopy. An immunoperoxidase technique employing antibody to keratin was used to study distribution and staining pattern of keratin filaments in benign and malignant epithelial tumors (20 squamous cell carcinomas, 20 gastric adenocarcinomas, 20 transitional cell carcinomas and 15 non-neoplastic epithelia). These immunohistochemical results were compared with ultrastructural features of neoplastic diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and transitional cell carcinoma, and estimation of degree of differentiation. The results are as follows : 1. The squamous epithelium, glandular epithelium and transitional epithelium disclosed the positive reaction for keratin. 2. Squamous cell carcinoma and transitional cell carcinoma exhibited positive reaction for keratin. 3. Gastric adenocarcinoma showed uniformly negative or weakly positive reaction for keratin. 4. On electron microscopy, heavy bundles of tonofilaments and desmosomes were more frequently encountered in well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma, In poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma, a few tonofibrils and desmosome were noted. 5. In the adenocarcinomas, the intermediate filaments were arranged randomly as nonaggregated, short filaments spread throughout the cytoplasm, although occasionally they formed a perinuclear whorl. These filaments did not become aggregated to form tonofilaments. 6. On the immunogold labeling for keratin of low molecular weight areas in gastric adenocinoma, in tense labeling of intermediate filaments for keratin was noted. From the above result, ultrastructural and immunohistochemical study on malignant epithelial cell were useful in differential diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and transitional cell carcinoma, and estimation of degree of differentiation. It was also proved that immunogold labeling technique was especially valuable for diagnosis of vague case which showed negative or weakly positive reaction in immunohistochemical stain.

        Surface wettability and spectroscopic studies on miscibility and ion adsorption of binary biomimetic self-assembled monolayers on gold surfaces

        Binary self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) have been much studied due to their high applicable potential as a model of biomimetic surfaces. However, the research about miscibility of binary SAMs has not much been investigated yet. In this work, we focused on analyzing the binary SAMs composed of mercaptohexadecanoic acid (MHA)- hexadecanthiol (HDT) on gold surfaces with Cassie equation, Israelachvili equation, and FTIR spectroscopy to confirm that the binary SAMs are well mixed. As a result, MHA-HDT binary SAMs are considered miscible because the result obtained from FTIR spectra is in good agreement with that calculated by Israelachvili equation for the case that two different molecules are well mixed on the surface. Also, the adsorption of cadmium ions on binary SAMs was confirmed by the appearance of carboxylate stretching bands.

        Temperature-Dependent Phase Behavior of Langmuir Films of 10,12-Pentacosadiynoic Acid at the Air/Water Interface and Its Effects on Chromatic Stability of the Polymerized Langmuir-Schaefer Films

        The effect of temperature on the two-dimensional phase of 10,12-pentacosadiynoic acid (PCDA) Langmuir films at the air/water interface was investigated. The temperature of the Langmuir films was precisely controlled from 5 to 50 °C and their surface isotherms and in-situ visible absorption spectra were acquired. Depending on the temperature, the PCDA Langmuir films were found to be classified into a liquid-condensed (low temperatures, 5 and 25 °C) and a liquid-expanded phase (high temperatures, 40 and 50 °C). After polymerizing the PCDA Langmuir films with 254 nm UV light at the specific temperatures, the films were transferred to hydrophobic glass using the Langumir-Schaefer (LS) method. Upon thermal and pH stimuli, their chromatic transition characteristics were analyzed by visible spectroscopy. The liquid-condensed films were found to be more susceptible to thermal stimulus than the liquid-expanded films. The latter also showed remarkable chromatic stability against the pH in the region from 2 to 11, compared to the former. Thus, when sturdy films are required, the multilayered PCDA LS films prepared at the liquidexpanded phase are more suitable than the liquid-condensed films, and vice versa. This result is expected to be very useful for controlling the sensitivity and stability of polydiacetylene-based sensory systems simply by changing the polymerization temperature, even without synthesizing new monomers.
