Five consecutive cases of coronary arteriovenous fistulae, from the coronary artery to the left ventricle were experienced in cath lab over a 2 year period, and are reported, with a review of the literature.
담즙성 간경변 환자에서 내시경 경화요법으로 지혈한 분출성 십이지장 정맥류 출혈 1예

Duodenal varices can result from portal hypertension regardless of the etiologies of liver cirrhosis. Bleeding from duodenal varices is rare but often severe and life threatening. Treatment modalities of duodenal varices include endoscopic sclerotherapy, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt, and surgery. As an initial treatment, endoscopic sclerotherapy is recommended due to easy accessibility but has limited success in controlling active duodenal variceal bleeding. In this case, we report a spurting duodenal varix treated with Histoacryl injection in a 48-year-old woman with secondary biliary cirrhosis. Endoscopic sclerotherapy with Histoacryl is a useful therapeutic measure in the treatment of bleeding duodenal varix. 문맥압 항진증에 의해 발생하는 십이지장 정맥류는 그 발생 빈도가 매우 낮고 출혈은 드무나, 일단 출혈이 되면 대량출혈을 보이는 경우가 많아 환자가 사망에 이를 수 있다. 치료 방법으로는 과거에는 수술적 방법이 사용되었으나 최근에는 내시경적 경화요법과 결찰술, 경정맥 간내문맥-간정맥 단락술 등 비수술적인 방법이 많이 이용된다. 저자 등은 이차성 담즙성 간경변이 있는 환자에서 십이지장 정맥류 출혈을 내시경으로 진단하고, HistoacrylⓇ (B. Braun, Melsungen, Germany)을 이용한 내시경적 경화요법을 시행하여 성공적으로 지혈한 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
토크 컨버터 내부의 비정상 후류 유동특성에 대한 수치해석 연구

In the present study, a transient incompressible viscous turbulent flow is simulated for the automotive torque converter with moving mesh technique. For the analysis, entire torque converter flow passages are modeled. Computed torque ratio, capacity factor and efficiency show a good agreement with the experiment data. The flow instabilities characterized by back-flow and wake etc. appeared in some cascade passages are shown to be propagating along tangential direction. These flow patterns are mainly influenced by the pump and turbine blade passing and can't be predicted through conventional steady simulation with a mixing plane approach. The understanding of the unsteady flow characteristics in a torque converter achieved in the present study may lead to the optimal design of a torque converter.

Fire inside light" railway transit(LRT) was simulated for various fire scenarios using CFD analysis in order to assess the safety .of passengers. Considered in the present paper are the effects of locations of fire, a fire size, an operation of ventilation system and an opening time of door on evolution of temperature and smoke concentration inside the LRT. For fire simulation, fire cells releasing heat and smoke corresponding to fire size were positioned at the location of fire. From the results, it is seen that the ventilation system and the opening time of door were the most important factors on temperature and smoke concentration inside the LRT.
의료용 CSF 제어 밸브 설계를 위한 유동/구조 상호작용 해석

Pressure-flow control characteristics of a commercially available cerebrospinal flow(CSF) control shunt valve was studied using flow/structure interaction analyses. Pre-stress of the valve diaphragm(membrane) was accounted for the simulation of an actual valve. The present results were in good agreement with the valve specification listed in the commercially available CSF control valve. The flow/structure interaction analysis of the present study can be effectively used to design a variety of CSF control shunt valves.
